Alma.

It’s the only way I could tell if he likes me and was only pretending

“Get out.” He shouted on me making me get out of the car.

I wonder why he is acting or should I say trying to act like my boyfriend when he isn’t.

I do much hate him for doing this to me, I thought turning around to leave.

“Oh Clifford, you are here.” I heard someone called from behind.

I quickly turned around to keep my face hidden from the person.

But unfortunately, I couldn’t because I was held back.

“Oh my goodness! Is this that your dancer everyone is talking about?”

The lady squeal hugging me tightly that I couldn’t breathe.

“What the f**k! Ella!” Clifford screamed making her leave me.

Finally, thank God. I thought taking in deep breath while using my hands to fan myself.

“What? Oh, I can’t hug your girlfriend again brother?” Ella asked making me choke on my spit.

” Girl what?n….”

I had to cough inorder to get the spit down in my stomach and caught off Clifford just to get back at him.

“Whatever, you are welcome to the family Alma. “Ella said linking her arm in mine.

” Ella you let go of the girl right now!” Clifford yelled.

I turned my head and winked at him before laughing with the girl.

After so much minutes of waiting, he decided to follow us sluggishly.

I and Ella kept talking about Clifford, his childhood history and little of his teenage days.

She told me so much that I couldn’t even remember all I have to do is to laugh.

Only if she knows am not rich, she won’t be asking me about the latest dress, shoes, makeups.

All I have to do is to nod in confirmation and get along with her.

I pray she doesn’t ask about me cause that would be a great issue.

“What do your parents do for living?” She asked all of a sudden.

” Why is Clifford like that? “I asked changing the topic.

” Like how? “She asked confused.

“Like he hate poor people, why?”

I asked looking at the entrance where he stood eyeing me like a girl.

He was boiling with Anger that if anyone should tell him anything, he would slap soul out of the person.

“That… Hmmmmmmmm… Why don’t you dear here while I call mom you guys have arrived. ”

She said getting up on her feet with a change facial expression which I couldn’t read.

I wish I could read people through their facial expression.

“Susan would sever you some wine, I would be back in 5.” She said before disappearing through the stairs.

I was still checking the whole place out when I felt another presence besides me.

Thinking it was the Susan she said she would get me drink, I said”drop it there.

” Without even looking at the person.

” Really? Is that the best way of telling me thank you for dressing you up like a rich person?

I bet she would like you if she knows you are so poor. “He said close to my ear While I close my eyes.
