Episode 39

Kimberly’s pov
To call my father? I jumped up from the bed and stared at him. Why the sudden change?

“I’m serious.” He handed me the phone and I clutched it before unlocking it.
I dialed my father’s number. Thank God, I didn’t forget his number.

I became nervous when his phone began ringing. At first, he didn’t pick it and I became worried but at the second ring, he picked it.

“Yes? Who’s this?” I heard his voice. I couldn’t help but smile. Jayden noticed that. It been long I heard from him.

“Father.” I said softly.

“Kimberly!! My daughter! Where did that rat keep you? Are you safe? Did he do anything to you?” He asked so many questions.

Have missed him so much.
“Dad, I’m fine. I’m alive and still going to be alive.” I responded.

“Where are you? I’m coming to pick you up. Gideon told me he will be killing you soon. Just tell me where you are. You’re the only one have got.” His voice began weak.

The fearless mafia could be this weak.

“I’m in Italy.”

“Huh? Italy? How come? That bas***d!” He seethed.

“No, father. Someone kept me alive. Well, we will talk about that later. I don’t know when I will be coming home soon.”

“Okay, but just stay safe for me. I don’t wanna lose you just like your mom.”

“I will be careful. Take care and don’t tell your enemy I’m still alive. I’m sure he’s expecting my dead body soon.” I responded.

“Fine. I will call you. I’m in the middle of something important.” My father replied.

I ended the call and sighed deeply. ” I missed my father.”

“I know. Looks like you cherish your father so well.” Anyway, the phone is yours now. I have to go and good morning.” Jayden smiled and kissed my forehead before leaving my room.

“His heart is beginning to soften.” I giggled ans lay on my bed. Today is going to be a long day.

Soon,I got down from the bed and took my bath and wore my clothes. I walked gingerly to the kitchen and met Jayden’s mother in the kitchen.

“Good morning, ma’am.” I greeted as I walked close to her.

“Good morining, My daughter in law.” She beamed.
Daughter in law?
