Episode 47
Christabel’s pov
“She’s my betrothed.” The prince answered.

What? I mean I didn’t hear the prince. Betrothed? Like he’s betrothed to that rude amd bitchy girl?

Why? I felt jealous suddenly. No, I shouldn’t be jealous. I’m not even the Prince’s type.

“Do you love her?” I asked.

“No. I was forced. I shouldn’t be telling you this. But somehow, I’m trusting you.” My cheeks flushed at that and he continued. “My father wants me to get married as soon as am through with school and take the throne afterwards.” He explained further.

He’s really going to get married to someone. Why do I feel like my heart has been stabbed? I don’t love the prince, do I?

I don’t even have an answer to that.

And since the prince doesn’t like the girl why didn’t he tell his father about it? Oh! He was forced. He can never disobey his father, the king. Never.

“Are you ready to get married to her?” I questioned.

“Ready? I’m not even near ready. I don’t have time for marriage. I got so many dreams to fulfil before I decided to get married.” He replied amd took out his pen from his bag then his books before placing it on the desk.

“But you can’t disobey your father, you know that.”

“I know. But I have my ways. I’m the best.” He smiled, cheerfully and faced the teacher as he began teaching.

I just don’t know what to do right now. Whether to concentrate or think about the Prince’s betrothed.

I should mind my business. I’m not from a rich family. Not to talk of a family that is close to the king. I should closed my mouth and not say anything.

Soon, the teacher left and it was break time. I got up from my seat and decided head to the cafeteria. But I was called back by the prince.

“You going with me. To my room. Our room.” He uttered but I shook my head.

“Why do you want me there? I don’t want trouble from your betrothed girl.” I replied.

“Are you jealous? It shows in your eyes anyway.” He smirked.

“Me? Jealous? How will I be jealous of her? I can’t. I’m not even up to her standards. Neither you. So, I shouldn’t.” I shrugged.

“Then, I will make you up to my standards.” He blurted and dragged me out of the class.
