ARKANSAS
❣️ ALEXA❣️
Aunt kate has been restless since I showed her the note.
We’ve been trying the boys’ numbers but it wasn’t going through and at last, it was switched off.
I know they must have gotten to their destination since Alabama is seven hours’ drive from here and this is already 12:33pm.
I just hope nothing bad happens to them.
The front door opened and my uncle came in.
Aunt kate had called him to come home.
I collect the briefcase from him and I went to his bedroom to drop it there.
“Alexa, we’re off to the police station. Would you be fine on your own?” Aunt Kate asked.
” Yeah” I said sadly.
I hate the fact that it’s because of me that all this is happening.
If I haven’t come to live here, all these troubles won’t have start.
Uncle Evan and Aunt Kate entered uncle Evan’s car and I went to open the gate for them so they can drive out.
Just then, Oliver’s mom was also about to enter the house so uncle Evan had to reverse the car back into the house.
He parked the car and I closed the gate when Oliver’s mom had entered.
Uncle Evan and Aunt Kate came out of the car.
“Good afternoon, ma” I said to Oliver’s mom.
” Good afternoon dear” she replied.
She exchanged pleasantries with Uncle Evan and aunt Kate before she stated the real reason why she came.
” Is Oliver here?” She asked.
My uncle and aunt looked at each other.
Finally, they broke off the staring competition and aunt Kate spoke.
” We were about to go to the police station before you arrived. I think we should go inside because there’s something I want to show you” Aunt Kate said leaving the poor woman confused.
We all went in and we sat down in the sitting room.
Aunt kate brought out the note which was written by Hunter. She gave it to Oliver’s mom who read it aloud.
” By the time you see this, we would have been on our way to Alabama or we could have gotten to our destination in Huntsville. We are going there to see the anonymous guy who is defaming Alexa’s character.
P.S: Oliver is also with me even though I asked him not to come.
She gasped when she finished reading it.
“I should have suspected him yesterday night but I thought I was being paranoid. What did Hunter mean by Anonymous guy and defamation of character” she asked.
She doesn’t know anything about what has been going on in the school obviously.
Aunt kate took time to explain to her and she was like “Oh, my! I never knew anything was going on” she said sympathetically.
She offered to follow my uncle and aunt to the police station but uncle Evan refused. He said she should go home to take care of Peter.
I also decided to follow her home until my uncle and aunt would return from the police station.
HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
💓 HUNTER💓
I was in a desert and everywhere was so silent.
There was no house in sight and the place seems to be devoid of any living soul.
The ground began to shake suddenly, as if an earthquake is about to occur.
Within the twinkle of an eye, a strange looking creature emerged from the ground charging at me violently.
Adrenaline sets in immediately and I started sprinting at an impossible pace.
Usain Bolt would have been jealous of my speed if he could see me now.
I keep running for several minutes and before long I began to get tired.
The strange creature was gradually closing in on me.
The gap between us were no longer wide again as the closure was getting closer to me.
Less than one hundred metres from me.
Less than eighty metres from me.
Less than fifty metres from me.
Less than twenty metres from me.
I was about to avoid a ditch when I stumbled and before I could hit the floor, the claw of the creature sank into my left leg.
” NO!” I screamed out loud and my eyes flew open.
I sigh in relief when I realised that it was all a dream.
” Are you okay?” Oliver’s voice beside me cut short the joy I was feeling as reality sank in that we are still at Alabama.
I looked at him and I saw that his hands and legs were tied, same with me.
” How long have we been here?” I asked Oliver who just sighed.
” I don’t know. I just woke up few minutes ago” he replied.
How I wish I was more careful when we were entering this room, we won’t be tied like chickens now.
“Did you see who knocked us out?” I asked Oliver. I want to be sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me back then.
“Yeah, it was Ms. Kilpatrick. It’s hard to believe she is the one behind all these” Oliver said.
” Well, it’s not hard for me to believe. Do you remember she always seem to have something against me, I can’t just understand why she included Alexa as well” I said.
We were still talking when we heard the sounds of approaching footsteps so we stopped talking.
” Here comes the devil’s incarnate” I said to Oliver.
The door swing open and the queen entered in all her glory.
Note the sarcasm!
” Oh! I can see you guys are awake already” she said.
I wonder what she’s planning in her evil mind.

I don’t know why I’m feeling afraid.
Maybe it’s because the Ms. Kilpatrick here is different from the Ms. Kilpatrick I used to know in school or if it’s because I’m helpless right now.
“Now, will someone tell me why you came here” she ordered.
” We got an Intel that the anonymous guy defaming my cousin’s character on the school blog resides here” Hunter said boldly.
I suddenly envy his courage.
” And did you find your anonymous guy?” She asked with a smirk.
” Yes, of course. I’m even speaking with the Jezebel right now” Hunter replied.
Damn! This guy will get us killed at the rate he’s going.
Can’t he at least keep his hatred away for now.
I was shocked when Ms. Kilpatrick suddenly burst into an evil laughter that lasted for two minutes.
“Great! Now you have grown wings. All I wanted to do was to frustrate your cousin’s miserable life, but it won’t be bad if I torment you also”
“You would not be spared as well. The more the merrier” she said, directing her last statement to me.
” Why are you doing this?” I summoned courage to ask her.
” My dear, it’s payback time” she said without explaining further.
I dare not ask her anything for now because she looks so scary right now.
” I’d be with you shortly ” she said then walked out of the room.
My stomach rumbled in hunger and I felt like slapping myself.
Is this the time to think of food?
” What are we going to do?” I asked Hunter quickly.
“I don’t know, but I hope my parents has seen the note I left” he said.
” You wrote a note?” I asked happily.
” Don’t get too excited because I didn’t write down the exact address. I only said we are at Huntsville, Alabama” Hunter said.
” Oh!” I said dejectedly.
” Let’s look at the bright side, we don’t have to worry about homework for now” Hunter said.
” You have a sick sense of humour” I said shaking my head.
❣️ ALEXA❣️
Aunt kate came to pick me at Oliver’s place.
She spoke with Laura (Oliver’s mom) for some minutes before we left.
I went back to Peter’s room to bade him goodbye.
We had talked for some minutes before my aunt came to pick me.
We got home and uncle Evan was sitting in the sitting room already.
I went to sit beside him.
” What did the cops say?” I asked him.
” They said we can’t conclude that they are in danger yet, and we should come back to the station if they did not show up in the next twenty four hours” Uncle Evan said.
It’s so evident in his eyes that he is so tired and I feel guilty for bringing this upon everyone.
“So, they can’t do anything help us right now?” I asked.
” Yes” he said.
I went to my room, locked the door and I cried myself to sleep.

The next BIG question is why is she bent on destroying Alexa’s reputation… and why did she dislike Hunter with passion.
