❣️ALEXA❣️

I board a taxi home after I ran away from the party.
I couldn’t wait for Hunter cos of how I was feeling.

I’m sure Hunter would be disappointed in me after what happened.

Aunt Kate came to knock on my door calling me out for dinner but I didn’t answer.
She also sent some messages to me but I’ve not opened it. I’m just receiving the messages notifications without clicking on the messages.

I’m really hungry but I don’t want to see Hunter for now so I’m not eating dinner with them.

I’d probably eat the leftovers in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep.

I don’t want to think about what happened at the party again but I still find myself thinking about it.

That moment seemed magical.
Until I remember I was kissing someone’s boyfriend.
I’ve never been so ashamed of my actions.

Of all the people in the world to like, why did it have to be Oliver?
Why did it have to be someone I can’t have?

I always thought my first kiss would be spectacular with a guy who loves me but what did I get instead?
I got kissed by a guy who probably want to make his girlfriend jealous so he used me 😢😢.

To think that I was already melting with just that kiss makes me more pathetic than I’d like to admit.

How would I face him in school on Monday?

I hope I don’t run into him in school.

I’m glad I don’t talk so anyone looking for unnecessary gossips can’t get a statement from me.

💓HUNTER💓

I haven’t seen Alexa since I came home from the party.

Mom has been trying to interrogate me about why Alexa came home alone and I’ve been evading her questions.

I just hope dad won’t ask also when he comes back from work.

It’s time for dinner but Alexa refuse to come out of her room.
Mom had gone to her room several times without any success.

I know she probably think I’m blaming her for what happened at the party, but on the contrary I blame Oliver not her.
It was Oliver who initiated the kiss so why should I blame her for what is not her fault.

” Where’s Alexa” dad asked as soon as he entered the dining room.

I suddenly became more interested in the pizza I was eating.

“She’s in her room” mom replied him.

“Why is she not eating dinner?” Dad asked.

“Did something happen between you two, Hunter?” he asked.

” Huh? Nothing happened. I think she’s sleeping” I came up with a lame response.

“Sleeping by this time? Well, it’s okay” he said and he start eating his food.

I went to the kitchen when I felt sure that everyone is asleep.

I saw some leftover pizzas in the microwave oven so I ate to my satisfaction

I went back to bed afterwards but I couldn’t sleep.
I was just turning from one side of the bed to another.

🌞SUNDAY🌞

❣️ALEXA❣️

I didn’t sleep at all so I decided to surprise my aunt this morning.
She has been the one doing most of the chores since I came so I think I should help out as well.

I vacuum cleaned the sitting room, dining room and the other rooms.

I went to make breakfast and I made rice dishes with shrimp creole.

Aunt Kate walked into the kitchen when I was about to take the food to the dining room.

” Wow! Thanks so much Alexa” she said.
I just shrugged and smiled at her.

She helped me set the table and I went to call Hunter from his room.
I’ve not been to his room since I started living here.

I knocked when I was in front of his door.
I still didn’t want to face him yet but I have no choice.

He opened the door after the third knock and he was surprised to see me.
I bet he was expecting his mom and not me.

I showed him the message I typed and he said he’d come join us soon.

I went back to the dining room and my uncle is now seated at the table.

I gave him a hug and I was relieved when he didn’t ask me why I skipped dinner last night.

Hours later…💙

I’m heading to Hunter’s house right now.
I know Hunter was mad at me yesterday but I don’t want to apologise on phone, it doesn’t look proper so that’s why I’m going to his house now.

” My regards to Kate and Evans” mom shouted from dad’s room.

“Okay mom” I shouted back.

Hunter’s house is a stone throw from my house so there’s no need to go in my car.

I got there and I met Aunt Kate outside trimming the weeds in her garden.

” Good afternoon ma” I greeted her.
She turned around and smiled broadly when she saw that it’s me.

” How have you been dear?” She asked me.

” I’m fine. Is Hunter in?” I asked her.

” Yeah. He is in his room” she said.

” Thanks ma” I replied and turned to go in.

“Oh! His room is the attic room now. Alexa is occupying his old one” Aunt Kate said.
I thanked her and I head to Hunter’s new room.

💓HUNTER💓

Oliver just arrived some minutes ago.
He came to apologise about what happened at the party last night.

“I’m not really mad at you. I think you should apologise to my cousin though” I replied him.

” Okay, thanks man” Oliver said.

” Why did you kiss her though?” I asked curiously.

” I don’t know. It just felt like the right thing to do” he said.

” Hope you are not planning to add her to your f**k buddies cos I’d really ki*ll you if you do that. I can forgive you for kissing her but I definitely won’t forgive you if you play her like the rest” I said to him plainly.

He was about to reply but we were interrupted by a knock on the door.
Oliver stood up to open the door.

❣️ALEXA❣️

Aunt kate asked me to take some snacks to Hunter and his friend.

I knocked on the door of Hunter’s room and the door was opened by the last person I want to see presently.

I should have known he’s the friend Aunt kate referred to.

I dropped the tray I was carrying inside Hunter’s room and I quickly rushed out.

“Alexa, please wait” I heard Oliver’s voice behind me and in no time he was beside me.
I wonder what he wants to say.

“I’m so sorry about last night. It was a mistake” he said.

My head became heavy all of a sudden and I felt anger well up from within.

” I hate you!” I said trying to stop the tears from falling.
How dare he steal my first kiss and then call it a mistake.

” You… talked Alexa” he stuttered.

I can’t believe I just talked out loud because of this guy.

I ran all the way into my room and I locked it, then released the ocean of tears I’ve been holding all along.
