Taylor’s Pov
Mum seemed to have taking a liking To mason already Whilst dad remain adamant, he glared at mason any moment he could and sneered at the topics he brought up it was obvious he didn’t like him one bit because according to my dad boys arent good for you he didn’t forbid me to-date anyone but he also never failed to mention that dating gets you no where

“So mason, how did you and Taylor get together… Mum said as I chocked on my juice.

“I would love to tell you the story mrs harttway.

“Oh you make me feel so old.

“Aren’t you… I muttered as mum glared.

“I could tell you.

“You could… I said raising my voice.

“Well you could say I’ve known her for quite a while but I’m one of those guys who she couldn’t ever fancy… He said as I raised my brows.

“But how is that even possible I mean you’re handsome, well mannered with such a lovely…

“Ah, em… Dad and I faked a cough interrupting her.

“Like I said I went unnoticed until an unforgettable Wednesday where her clothes were stained and I had to drop her off, to her it was a kind gesture from a stranger but to me it meant everything after that we met out of coincidence until a Friday night when we finally talked and I guess I couldn’t resist my feelings anymore and here we are now… He said as I was dazzled by his explanation trying to figure out if he was telling a bluntant lying or speaking from his heart.

“Awwn that’s so sweet… Mum cooed as dad actually smiled a little.

“What can I say, no one can resist your daughter she had that wild nut charming side, she’s pretty intelligent and above everything she’ll do whatever it takes to make the people she love happy, how can I not fall in Love with her… He said as dad smile widened as I noticed my face forming a small smile.

“So you actually like my daughter.

“Like is an understatement… He said grinning.

“I’m not in support of my daughter dating anyone.

“Honeyyyy… Mum cautioned.

“But…I can see you really care for her so I’ll make an exception but if she so much as shed one tear for you I’ll break you.

“She won’t sir… I promise… Mason said as I smiled widely.

“Would you care to stay for lunch… Mum said as mason smiled.

“I’ll love to ma’m but I just came to clear things up as well as ask permission to take Taylor out on a date later… Mason said as I froze.

“Sure as long as you get her home early

“I will sir… I’ll pick you up by 2, I don’t need to say look pretty because you look gorgeous in anything you wear… He said grinning.

“Bye Mr and Mrs harttway… He said before turning to leave.

As the door slammed shut, I snapped out of my thoughts trying to recollect what just happened, it was either mason spoke the whole truth or he would make a really good actor, everything he said sounded so sincere I seriously couldn’t believe it was simply make believe and he was trying to keep me out of trouble.

“I really like him he’s a keeper… Dad said as I nodded slowly.

“You have to give me all the details on your date and I’m glad we’re done with the gown phase, time to pick out what’ll you wear… Mum said pulling me upstairs.

“Mum I’m really tired I need to rest, it’s almost twelve and I have that date by two….I said groaning as we walked into my room.

“It’s okay rest but you have to promise to wear anything I set out for you.

“Alright I promise.

“Good now rest… Mum said walking towards my closet while I climbed into bed getting some shut eyes.

 

I stretched lazily on my bed staring at my clock it was past one,I rubbed my eye lids as realization hit me that I had barely one hour to get dressed, I jumped into the bathroom taking a proper bath, making sure to brush my teeth properly since I was in a little hurry the last time.
I walked out of the bathroom walking towards my dressing mirror to see the clothes mum set out,typical mum a jump suit, the one I had been dying to wear, the one who had been so tempting I had to keep it so far away so I wouldn’t give into temptation.
Nevertheless, I had promised mum to wear anything she sets out it’s not like I had any objections because I was sure this would look great on me.
I just hope mason would like it, since he’s really not used to see me in all these kind of clothes.

“Breath Taylor… I muttered as I changed into the outfit.

 

I stared at myself in the mirror reassuring myself that nothing would go wrong, I looked okay in the jump suit more than okay, it revealed my every shape, what if mason doesn’t approve of it,what if he stares at me like those girls in school, what if he doesn’t like me anymore… These questions kept floating in my head, I practically zoned out.

“Taylor… I Gasped when I felt a touch on my shoulder.

“Are you okay, you look like you’re in deep thoughts… Dad said.

“Nahh, I’m fine… I said putting on powder.

“You look really pretty… Dad said as I smiled.

“One last question though.

“Sure dad.

“Did you and mason start going out before or after you decided to change your dress code.

“Before dad… Why asking.

“Nothing out of curiosity… He said with a smirk.

“You shouldn’t keep the gentleman waiting now… He said as I gasped.

“He’s already downstairs please tell me you didn’t talk to me.

“I didn’t talk to him… Dad said as I buried my face in my palms.

“Dadddd… I groaned.

“I didn’t say anything that bad.

“Yeah right… I said grabbing my things walking downstairs.

“Have fun sweetie… Mum said winking.

“But not too much fun… Dad warned sternly.

“Don’t forget what I said young man, bring her back safely… Dad added as I flushed embarrassed.

“We should get going… I said pushing him out.

 

“You have a beautiful family… Mason remarked as we walk out.

“More like an annoying one.

“Annoyingly caring… He rebuked as I giggled.

“Do you always have to have an answer for everything… I said folding my hands.

“Yep… He said grinning.

“Here… He said handing me a helmet helping me to put it on.

“I’m confused though.

“About… He said as I climbed on.

“Firstly where we’re going.

“Someplace fun… He said grinning.

“And… How you were able to say everything this morning so passionately like it was the truth…I said as he remained silent for a second.

“Because maybe it was… He said starting the engine leaving me even more confused.

“Hold on tight… He said using that same husky voice just like the day we met.

 

We drove down town for a while before stopping at a house as the engine came to a halt.

“Where are we..

“A frat house… He said simply.

“A what now.

“A frat house is where college kids come together to hang out and share drinks, I want you to meet some of my friends… He said simply helping me take of my helmet.

“That sounds fun…i said grinning as we walked in, my hand unconsciously moving towards holding his.

We walked into the house and mason was right, it was filled with college dudes extremely cute one at that, not cuter that mason though… Wait what??.
Scratch that,like I was saying they were really cute, most of them were shirtless, others were playing poker but most of them could make a good model.

“Yo Kendall my man… One of them said walking towards us.

“Hot guy alert… My subconscious said fanning herself.

“She’s pretty but you never bring a girl here… He said staring at me.

“Eyes on me… Mason said rolling his eyes.

“Alright alright but Shawn said you wouldn’t be around so I’m kinda surprised you showed up.

“Shawn’s here… Mason said as I gulped.

“Yeah he’s up stairs with a new chick.

“Alright thanks man I’ll be over in a bit… Mason said as he nodded before walking away .

“I had no idea Shawn would be here Taylor we can leave right now if you want.

“No of course not, we shouldn’t change our plans because of him plus if we leave I’ll miss the chance to Ogle at all the cute guys in the house… I said as mason raised his brows.

“Cute guys… Mason repeated as I nodded slowly.

“Yeah are you blind or something… I said jokingly.

“I’ll admit they’re cute but not cuter than me right… He said.

“Definitely not… I replied almost immediately although I didn’t say it out loud.

“They’re way cuter… I lied smirking.

“I think I’ll go talk to one of them… I said walking away.

“You should go find Shawn or something… I added smiling walking into the house to explore.

“Taylor… I heard a farmilar voice call out.

“Jenny… I said unable to believe she way here.

“You’re here too.

“Yeah Timothy and I just came by… She said grinning.

“Getting serious aren’t we… I said jokingly as she blushed.

“Well kinda and i Guess you’re here with mason.

“Yup.

“I knew they were cute but the guys in her… Gosh… Jenny said as I smiled.

“I know right.

“Don’t tell Timothy but mason is still cuter… She said as I smiled.

“I know right… I said giggling.

“Common we should head upstairs they’re girls there and Shawn is there too,ian and of course Sasha… She said as I shrugged.

“Let’s go… I said as we both walked up stairs.

 

She was right when she said they were alot of girls upstairs, they looked like college kids extremely beautiful we were nothing compared to them.

“You’re here too… Sasha said rolling her eyes.

“Let’s go… I said ignoring her completely.

“Oh I have to go Timothy calling… She said running off leaving me behind.

“Done ogling at the guys… Mason said folding his hands.

“Yeah kinda.. I said giggling.

“You seriously think they’re cuter than me.

“Why are you making sure a big deal about it anyways.

“I dunno do you think they are.

“If I say yes again would you care… I said with a little smirk.

“Well yeah…

“Why… Jealous much… I said playfully.

“Yes.. He said simply as I was taken aback .

” Well good at least now you understand how I feel when you’re with Sasha… I said letting the words slip out without thinking twice.

“What.. He said a little shock.

“Let’s play a game guts… The same guy roared as all attention turned to him.

“I’m up for any game… Shawn said as I stared at him for a split second.

“Nahh this game isn’t for us, it’s for the beautiful ladies here… He said simply.

“Twerking contest…he added as the guys cheered.

“Any girl interested should meet me at the centre… He stated simply as some girls moved.

“They do this most times.. Mason said simply.

“Oh really..
I said giggling.

“Yup.

“Aren’t you gonna join..
Sasha said smirking.

“I’ll join if You do…I retorted

“You think you can win against me.

“Why don’t we find out.

“You’re the nerd what makes you think you can even twerk.

“I’ll never tell.

“Alright then you’re on.

“You’re actually gonna twerk in front of all these guys.

“Yeah.

“Why…

“Nothing I’m just not comfortable with all these guys watching you.

“It’ll be fine if I win I might give you a peck… I said as I walked towards the centre feeling Shawn’s eyes on me every step of the way.
