I looked back and forth waiting for her to make the first move impatiently. Ethan and Lina have been together for a total of ten minutes. That’s six hundred f****ng second. That’s too much time, just too much time.
I hated the thoughts currently creeping into my mind as to what they could utilize that time I’m doing. The urge to get home quickly had multiplied by now.

What was I thinking leaving them alone. What!

“State your terms.”

I demanded breaking the ice. It’s better if she speaks first so I’ll know how to counter.

“I only have two terms Stefan. Just two.”

She starts off still grinning. I’m sure today would count as the happiest day in her life or something.

“Firstly, i most definately don’t want a low key wedding with just two witnesses. Secondly, we have to live together and sleep on the same bed. I get what every wife gets.”

I thought hard about her terms. Truthfully, I was going to offer her a low-key wedding but I can work with that.

“Done.”

“Great.”

She beams leaving the ball in my court.

“Now, it’s time for my terms. I have three.”

I raise my fingers up to elaborate before carefully folding my fists.

“Firstly, you have to sign protective custody of Justin over to me. You’ll still be his mother but in the eyes of the law, he belongs to me. I’ll have no intention of taking him away from you, I just want to make sure you never take him from me.”

I clarified. This was the most important one of them all.

“Done.”

She states without thinking twice.

“Secondly, all details of the wedding would be made by me. I decide everything. You don’t want low-key, that’s fine I’ll make that happen. Me. Your job is to just sign the documents. Nothing more.”

“Done.”

She states again. The third condition is tricky, I made it because of Lina. I just hope it doesn’t backfire.

“Thirdly, you don’t pry into my personal life. You might be my wife but it’s on paper. Anything I say or do is none of your concern.”

“Stefan….”

“Yes or no.”

“Yes….”

She breathes out in agreement and I’m glad. That one bird. Now I’ll figure out how to make this work with Lina. Don’t know how I can possibly do that but still, I’m going to have to try something.

“I left something out Stefan.”

She says suddenly snapping me out of my thoughts.

“What do you mean you left something out?”

“I want to go home with you. Now. You’re taking me to where you live and where I’ll live soon.”

She states leaving me dumbstruck. Just when I was thinking things were going my way.

“sh*t!”

I curse internally.
