He looked away. I’m utterly disappointed.

“You said anything Stefan. Opportunity of a lifetime remember. I’m not going to ask about your wife tonight. It doesn’t feel nice but Daniella isn’t your wife? Or you don’t think it’s my place to ask questions,I can leave…”

I stood up abruptly.

“I want to tell you. I really do.”

“Let me guess, you can’t. Wow! What an amazing pick up line.”

I kicked sarcastically.

“Thanks for the drinks, games. I’m really tired, I have to go. Once again I’m sorry for prying on both counts. I’ll do my best not to do it again.”

He watched my eyes twinkle not saying a word. I marched out of his room and slammed the door in anger.

I ran to my room and fell on the bed. Thanks to the alcohol in my system, I will not shed a single tear for him. Not one.

Minutes later, the alcohol slowly dissolved leaving me hopelessly Empty.

The first drop trickled followed by others. Then, I couldn’t take it and went into full sobbing mode until the next day.

THE NEXT DAY

The usual thing. I woke up with a massive splitting headache. I didn’t wait for nothing, I grabbed and swallowed a couple of pain killers before carrying on my duties.

Since he said I’m not a prisoner in this house, I’ll test his theory by leaving the house today.

I won’t even say a word to him. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t want to speak to him.

I took a bath and hurridely got dressed.

“sh00t!”

I cursed hoping I still had a few bucks left in my work trousers. I squeeled finding the tips customers gave me. Thank goodness I stuffed it in here.

I smiled to myself and packed a small bag before walking out of my room.

“Just knock then say hi.”

I heard Stefan rehearsal as I walk out of the house.

“Hi.”

He blurted out, I brushed past him and walked away.

“Lina. Aren’t you going to say something.”

“Busy. As you can see, I’m exercising me creative freedom and going out. I’ll take to you later.”

I responded sharply and increased my pace.

“So you’re giving me the silent treatment”

“Preety much.”

I responded.

“Okay then. Two can play at that game. You’re not leaving this resident.”

“Yes I am.”

“No you’re not.”

“And why the hell not.”

“Because I said so. And also, I said when you’re not busy.”

“But you don’t have any jobs for me?”

“I do infact. I’m in dire need of a massage. I’ll be in my room.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be at work or something.”

I scoffed then glared.

“It’s Saturday. I’ll be waiting.”

My lips parted and I smacked myself embarrassed.
