EPISODE 8
BY IBRAHEEM HAFSAT IDOWU (AUTHORESS ADESEWA✍️✍️)

JESS POV
Immediately I got home after dropping off Ally at Richie’s place I called Jeff to find out how he’s coping with me not at the office. He asked me to rest properly so I can resume work the following day.
I made a cup of tea for myself and I haven’t even begin to drink the tea when I heard the doorbell ringing continously. The person at the door need me for an urgent reason so I placed my cup of untouched tea on the kitchen table and I went to open the door for whosoever that was ringing the doorbell.
I was shocked by what I saw in front of me. Standing before me was Ally who was clutching her left arm in pain. She must have overstressed her arm while driving. She was looking so pale and sick that I quickly ushered her into the living room. I wanted to ask her a lot of questions but I know she wasn’t in any state to answer any of them . I noticed she was shivering so I brought out some water and a towel. I poured the water into a bowl and dipped the towel in the water and mopped her face with the towel. I quickly went to the kitchen and prepared a hot soup for her. She couldn’t eat so I had to feed her.
I realised something must have happened at Richie’s place but since Ally isn’t in a fit state to talk currently, there’s a limit to what I can do.
I heard Ally’s phone ringing and I checked her jacket pocket for it. I didn’t want to invade her privacy so I let the phone ring endlessly without picking up.
I went to my guest bedrooms and cleaned one for Ally. I helped her from the living room to the guest room. I made sure she was properly tucked in before leaving the room .
I placed a call to Jeff. He isn’t just my fiance. He’s also my boss. I’m his personal assistant so I need to inform him that I won’t be able to resume work tomorrow as planned. His phone was ringing but he wasn’t picking. He’s probably in a meeting so I’d call him later. I dropped my phone on the couch and for lack of a better thing to do I begin to do my laundry. I finished the laundry and went to the kitchen. I saw the tea I made before Ally came so I poured the tea into the kitchen sink. I tidied up the kitchen and went to the guestroom to check up on Ally. I saw that she was still sleeping so I went back to the living room so as not to disturb her. I saw that my phone was blinking indicating that I have a new message. I checked the content of the message and it was from jeff.
💬 I missed your call earlier babe. I was in the boardroom with the shareholders and my phone was in the office.
Jeff📥
I text him back immediately
💬 I just wanted to inform you about Ally. I don’t know exactly what happened to her at Richie’s place but currently she’s at my place.
Jess📥
💬That’s serious. Hope she’s getting better now?
Jeff📥
💬Not really but she’s currently sleeping. I don’t think I can come to work tomorrow.
Jess📥
💬I’d ask Linda to handle all my schedule tomorrow. Send my love to Ally when she’s awake
Jeff📥
💬Alright dear. I love you darling❤️
Jess📥
💬 I love you more sweetheart❣️❣️

UNKNOWN POV
I was at work when mom called to remind me to come home early because we are having a family dinner with the Roberts.
The Roberts and my family (the Coopers) had been friends for as long as I could remember and David Robert the only son of Mr and Mrs Robert also happened to be my best friend.
I had quite a hectic day at work today but no matter how much I try to bury myself in the office works so as to forget the lady I met at the club, it just wasn’t effective. I find myself thinking of her and wondering what probably happened to her after that day. I don’t know why I feel the need to know her better.

*Back to present*
I just got home and the guards welcomed me. I returned their greetings and went into the main house.
“Good evening mum and dad” I greeted them together. I turned to the Roberts “Good evening Aunt Sarah. Good evening uncle William”. I’ve been calling them Aunt Sarah and uncle William since I was a kid. They all reciprocated my greeting and I head upstairs to my room. I need to freshen up before I join them.
About 20 minutes later I joined them in the dining room. The Butler served us the dinner which comprise of Spaghetti 🍝and meatballs 🍝as the main course while dessert was apple pie🥧 which was baked by mom.
After dinner we all trooped out to the sitting room. Dad was discussing business with uncle William and mom and aunt Sarah were also talking about something.
I wanted to excuse myself since David wasn’t around cos he went on a business trip and he’s not expected to be back till next month.
I was about to leave the room when my mom said “Bryan, when are we going to meet your girlfriend”
Where did this question come from?
“Mom I’ve told you countless times that I don’t have one yet. When I have a girlfriend I’d surely introduce her to you”
Aunt Sarah didn’t help matters either “yes, your mom is totally right. We’re not getting younger. We can’t wait for you guys to get settled already. I’ve been telling David to go out on a date with Melissa, miss Patricia’s daughter but he just wouldn’t listen to me”. I didn’t even know what to say so I remain mute. I was grateful when mom said to aunt Sarah “I need an evening gown so I was wondering if you can recommend your dressmaker to me”.
“No problem. I’d talk to Allison when I go to her shop next week” aunt Sarah said
“Alright dear. Thanks so much” my mom replied
Uncle William and aunt Sarah both said their goodbyes and I was free to go to my room.
What a day😧😟

TBC. Like and comment.
How was this episode? We now know the name of the unknown guy. I think sooner or later he’d still meet our Ally. What do you think?
I’m looking forward to reading your lovely comments.
