On A Monday Morning

It is another busy day for workers
Proprietors, traders and hawkers
People running to catch morning dew
Run, run fast before the time is due
.
It is another sad day for secondary students
Especially those with piled up assignments
“I wish this day never comes”
That is what you hear from Nigerian students
.
Another faithful day for mendicants
Who looks up on travellers for survival
With their sweet mouthed prayer filled words
I think you cannot help it but help them
.
Another boring day for me
Cause I’ll be sitting alone thinking
Of where this country is heading to
With this present state of predicament
.
Monday the mother day of business
The day that determines sales of the week
If taken with care works well
But if taken with levity lives in the conundrum of his wretchedness
