(Tricked Into a Trap)

Thana’s Chambers~

“I need to speak with you, mum” Jezebel muttered on entering Thana’s chambers. Thana gave a squinting look, seeing how disorganized her daughter is. She motioned to the maids around, signaling them to leave which they oblique to.

“So what is it, and why are you looking unkempt” Thana muttered, getting on her feet as she walks closer to Jezebel, having a look of concern. Jezebel shifted backward a bit, wearing an angry look. Thana was forced to pause

“What’s wrong with you…did anyone hurt you..come on tell me” Thana persuaded
Right in jezebel’s eyes are tears which she doesn’t want to release, making her eyes really red

“I do f**k brother” She muttered softly, as Thana got stunned. She believes she didn’t hear Jezebel properly, so she went closer to her, looking at her eye to eye.

“What did you say?” She asked, taking her question steadily. Jezebel gulped in

“I said I and Hunter do f**k each other” She yelled it out but was cut short by a resounding slap from Thana, who flared up in rage

“How dare you…is that what you came here to tell me, what sort of rubbish is that. That’s incest for goodness sake, that’s abnormal, what has gotten into you both…” She roared

“I love him…” Jezebel resorted, spilling out the tears, Thana slapped her again
“You idiot…he is your brother” She yelled

“He is not my brother…god damn you…stop hitting me…arghh” Jezebel yelled, shifting backward.

“sh*t” Thana cursed, ruffling her hair as she turned to look at her daughter having an uncertain look

“What has gotten into you..why will you say that…I gave birth to the both of you, and now you are doing things that are considered immoral”

Jezebel let out a mockery laughter

“Same as you mum…why will brother have the royal mark, why am I not having one huhn….who the hell is my father?” She snapped.

Thana’s morale died down, she almost choked on her saliva. Why now, did she find out about it, she thought, looking at Jezebel with worried eyes which she tried concealing with an angry look

“What are you talking about..your father was the great king who passed away months ago..”
“And you want me to believe that….i want proof mum…proof.”

“What other proof do you want…who has been feeding you lies Jezebel…what’s going on” She tired feigning ignorance

“So you believe I heard it from someone, damn you mum, I made my research. Hunter is perfect, he is strong; he has the blood of royalty.

But I am totally different, and worst of all I don’t have the mark. Is it possible for a royal not to have the mark..huhn…is it possible” Jezebel roared

“You are a special child…you are different from the others”

“And what’s so special about me…tell me…I don’t have any special gift, neither am I having strength to beat up a mere vampire…you lie mum…you are a liar.

I need to know who my father is, or I will tell the whole elders that you cheated on the king” Jezebel snapped and left before she could speak

“Jezebel” She called but she heard already left, just immediately, Hunter entered.

Forever Land~
“Ain’t we there yet” Lazarus asked, walking behind the priestess, as they took a narrow route

“We are going up there…they live in the mountains, and they know that you are here.” She responded, pointing towards a mountain which isn’t really far.

“Why can’t we use of super speed and get there in time”

“We ain’t allowed to use our powers here, we are not in our territory remember? We are currently like humans over here, it’s their law’ She stated. He groaned. They had been walking for hours non-stop.

They got to the mountain top after few more minutes, and entered a cave which seems empty to Lazarus. He didn’t see anything or anyone, except the rocks alone.

He paused to stare at the priestess who was just looking straight ahead, not telling him why they stopped in an empty cave

He scoffed
“But there is no one here?” He muttered

“That’s because you are yet to look further into the spiritual realm” A voice stated. He turned to look at the priestess, but she wasn’t the one that spoke.

“What’s going on” he thought and looked further just as he was asked to

“Argh” he gasped on seeing people seated on perfectly carves stones, wearing white robes all through. They were all men, staring at him with a calm look. He wondered why he didn’t see them earlier

“You were staring with your physical eyes before, but when you looked further, you could now see them” The priestess replied this time, with a smile.

“And who do we have here” A man with long white beard, who seem to be their leader said, getting on his feet from where he sat.

“This is Lazarus, wise one…he is the chosen one” the priestess replied, holding Lazarus by the arm, and asked him to go further.

“Oh La-Za-rus” the man muttered with a quick smile, which made his wrinkled face appear clearly

“Welcome..to Forever land. I am the head of the mountain demons, and here are my comrades.” He waved his hands towards the men sitting on the lower stool. They bow their head a little as Lazarus returned the greeting in the same pace

“It’s my pleasure to be here, and thanks for accepting me” Lazarus replied
They nodded

“We will take you through the process of your transformation” the wise one continued

“Come with me” He muttered, and before Lazarus could blink, he met himself in a room which has a large pool. The pool isn’t any he has seen before; it’s pure gold.

Its reflection brightens the whole room; it was mere like a sun was being buried under the water.

“Where are we…and why are the others not here” Lazarus asked, looking for the priestess and the other men. But it seems like he was the only one taken with the wise one

“We are in the pool of transformation..and the others are still where they are. There is no route to this place…no human or any other being can find here; only the mountain demon has access to it.”

Lazarus nodded, even though he still finds his answer vague

“Here, you will be deep into the pool, down to its depth, and be there for three days. On the third day, your transformation will be complete”

“Ok…and will I be able to breathe under it”
The wise one smiled

“You will have to eat this seed, it will help you breath under water. But you need to take precautions on certain things.

As you step into this pool, don’t think of your friends, family, your mate or anyone you love. Instead, think of the power you will achieve, think of how you will want to make use of it, think of your enemies and how you plan to destroy them

Think of anything that will ignite the power from within” He advised; giving Lazarus the seed that wasn’t different from a mustard seed.

Lazarus collected it and placed it in his mouth, it melted immediately, tasting like mint

“Take off your clothes…and go in” the wise one ordered. He didn’t go against the command. He pulled his cloth to the last piece and entered the water. It began to boil profusely as he entered

“Now….sleep”

Lazarus closed his eyes, allowing his mind to be open to anything he can think of that will ignite the power. He went down into the pool, until his back touched the depth of it

“Wow….” Emerald muttered on entering into the club house which was blazing with music. D’Arcy walked closer to hold her hand as they entered the hall. The music was so loud that Emerald had to raise her voice to speak to him

“Most of our classmates are here” She said, as D’Arcy nodded

“Yea..we will just find a place to seat” He replied. They found their way out of the crowd of dancers, and settled down in a VIP seat according to their pass.

Just then Audrey and Billie came towards their table, smiling sheepishly

“Hey…the latest couple in town” Audrey drag her word, hugging Emerald and gave D’Arcy a nudge

“Wow…you look hot” Billie commented her dress

“Thanks…you don’t look bad too” Emerald replied

“Hey big guy” Billie said to D’Arcy who chuckled

“Hey little one” He resorted, making her give a childish frown

“Come on, I’m not little…why does everyone believe that I act like a baby”

“Because that is what you are” Audrey chipped in

“No…I am not…right emerald”

They kept on arguing until the music stopped and the MC came up on stage

“Ok…now is the time..for the birthday boy to cut the cake…who is excited in the house..let’s make some noise!!!!” he shouted into the Mic, as most of the females yelled out in glee. Gary was called up, looking handsome in his wears, as he walked towards the huge cake

“This might be the fourth cake he is cutting today…but I bet he would have received a lot more too” Audrey stated, as a waitress walked closer to their seat holding a tray of drinks.

“Really…” Emerald asked

“Yes beauty…he cut the first one in the morning which his family made for him, and then I believe his friends also got him a cake that same morning.

Then there was a party at the palace that his dad, the king, threw for him, and lastly, I think he got this one himself, because he organized the club party.” Billie replied. Emerald nodded

D’Arcy wasn’t paying attention to their girly talk though. So he didn’t notice the waitress, not until he felt the ring on his finger, burning up and bringing out the red light. It is actually invisible but visible to only him.

He gasped and looked up as his eyes lock contact with Drusilla’s; she also stared at him with a weird look.

She was stunned to see someone with a striking resemblance as Orpheus and was forced to believe that she was merely hallucinating.

She broke the glance after she was pulled by the hand by her co worker

“We need to serve others come on” Courtney muttered pulling her into the crowd. D’Arcy wanted to get up but Emerald held his hand. Where are you going to? She asked

He sighed out; none of the girls had noticed any strange occurrence, so he sat back, having it in mind to search for the waitress later.

Gary had already cut the cake as the party began in full, with enough to eat and drink. D’Arcy still didn’t get to meet the waitress, but he was convinced that she is still around since the light of the ring didn’t go off.

Gary walked to their table with smiling face
“Hey babes….” He greeted hugging Billie and Audrey

“Birthday boy is here….” Audrey winked

“Hey bro…thanks for coming” he shook hands with D’Arcy who gave him a side hug
“And erm…Emerald…thank you too” he smiled.

“Happy birthday Gary” She simply replied with a smile

“Hope you all have been served…or you need more wines…”

“Nahh…I might just get tipsy if I have more” Billie snapped, as they all laugh out

“Yea..just have fun..erm..has anyone seen Crystal..” Gary asked, they all shook their head

“That b!tch didn’t attend after promising me she would…anyways..i will be back later, gotta check on my friends” He muttered and gave an eye signal to Audrey which she clearly understood, but the others were oblivious of this. He left

Just then Billie filled a cup with red wine to the brim, holding it up as she stood to dance.

“Hey careful girl…I thought you don’t wanna get drunk…isn’t that much” Audrey warned but Billie gave a childish chuckle. She was about twirling round when she slips and fall, pouring the whole content in the cup on Emerald.

“Jezz…” Emerald cursed. Billie got up pouting having a sorry look
“Oh my gawd…I’m sorry…really sorry..i”

“Shut the f**k up buffalo, I warned you earlier..now look at what you have done to her dress” Audrey snapped looking angry. Billie simply bow her head looking sorry

“Come on Emerald, let’s clean you up…I’m gonna punch your face now” Audrey yelled at Billie as D’Arcy stepped in

“Hey girls, let’s not create a scene…ok…it was a mistake, she didn’t mean it right?” He muttered. Billie nodded.

“Whatever…now go look for a towel…come on Emerald, there is a room to clean up in there” she stated. D’Arcy stood up to go with them but was stopped by Audrey

“Chill boy, you won’t wanna watch her change will you, she will be back in a minute” Audrey muttered as emerald nodded in support.

“I will be back” She pecked him on the lips as went with Audrey while Billie went to search for a towel.

“Ok..i will wait here” D’Arcy muttered and returned to the seat. He suddenly caught a glimpse of the waitress he saw earlier, getting on his feet to catch up with her.

He doesn’t what to miss her again. He was just few meters closer when someone pulled his hand. He groaned seeing crystal, but his face changed from anger to worry when he saw her state. Her hair was scattered, with tears running down her cheek.

“Please Dave…help me…my cousin is trapped in a room”
He frowned

“Cousin??..how.”

“She is still a three year old, she got stuck in one of the furniture, I can’t pull her out…oh gawd.. her mum is gonna ki*ll me” She rushed her words, pulling him towards that direction.

He went with her into a reserved place for guest, and broke into the room she was talking about. He froze for a minute seeing nothing, but the room in well order.

There was no child or being except them. Whereas, she had already locked the door when they rushed in, she was actually behind him.

He folded his fist not wanting to believe that she tricked him, and turned to look at her.
The tears were no more on her face, but was replaced with a smirk

“Don’t tell me you tricked me here” his cold voice sounded in the air

She walked closer

“And what if I say…yes”
