D’Arcy’s POV
I ran into my apartment, climbing up the stairs immediately. I got to my room in no time and slump on the bed.

Raising my hand up to look at the bite wound, it was already closing up. If I had waited much longer, it would have closed up, and that will look really strange.

“Gosh” I cursed, rubbing my temple.

Why will the dog behave that way, is it because I am not human, can it smell me too. I thought. And how long will I keep hiding this from Emerald, she is my mate for goodness sake. I love her and she loves me too.

What if I later tell her about it, will she freak out? How will her parent react if I decided to take her to my kingdom?

“Oh blood goddess, this is getting crazy. Why will I be given a human as a mate, will this work out?” I asked, expecting a reply, which isn’t possible at the moment.

Just then, a call came into my phone, It’s Emerald. I sighed picking it up

“Hey Dave..are you there” She asked.

“Yes…Emmy…” I replied after few seconds of silence.

“Are you sure that you are fine, how is your hand”

“I’m fine trust me” I replied, getting frustrated by her questions

She didn’t say anything for some time, before speaking up again

“Are you at home, I’m coming to check on you”

“No…no.no…” I rushed my words, ruffling my hair in process as I tried looking for the first aid box.

Perhaps I will find some bandages and plasters in it, to use cover up the part where I was bitten. She shouldn’t notice anything yet, I am taking my time.

“Why? You sound worried, or in pains I think” She asked, concerned

“I’m actually not home, trust me I ran down to the nearby clinic immediately I left your house”

“But I can see your car where you parked it, I’m currently staring from my window” She stated, I could imagine her rolling her eyes

“I didn’t go with my car, I took a cab..you know..i wouldn’t be able to drive in my condition. The wound stings like hell” I chuckled

“I’m sorry about Goldie, you know..he hasn’t done something like this before, I’m still confused as at what made it so mad to bite you. Have you been treated, I’m seriously worried.” She pouted

“Sure I have, the nurses just finished attending to me now” I replied. She sighed out

“Ok, don’t forget to call me when you get back, I might spend the night at your place, I just wanna make sure that you are ok.” She stated, I could imagine her pouting.

“Ok…I will..love you pumpkin” I cooed

“Love you too dear” She replied, making my face light up in a smile. I hung up and sighed. If I wasn’t in this dilemma, I would have been screaming out my lung in glee, because she wants to spend the night with me.

But now I will be finding every possible means to keep her from coming. She mustn’t see that my hand had been healed just within few hours.

Witches’ Kingdom
Megan’s POV
My hands ache so much, same as my whole body. I can’t believe that I am still alive despite being placed in this harsh position.

I haven’t sit since I came here, due to the fact that my hands as still held up by the chains. My stomach rumbles ferociously as I hope for food to just appear somewhere close so that I can eat.

But even if that happened, how will I eat with my hands tied up. I groan loudly, wandering what Lazarus and Drusilla are doing about my kidnap.

They should have noticed by now, I have been here for too long and according to Violet, she said that the queen will be here for me soon.

Jordan said that my powers will be taken and I need to fight of their strategies, but how will I do so when I am really weak.

I feel like I will pass out soon. Just after my last thought, I saw someone come in through the cave opening.

A young lady, with deep red hair, who is she? I thought. She might be a witch too.

She surge forward looking me in the eyes through the bar spaces, and stopped right in front of the cage having a puzzle look.

“Can you see me” She asked. I frown, not knowing if I should give her a direct answer or not, I mean, I don’t know this lady. Why the hell will she ask such question, is she supposed to be invisible or what?

“Yes…what do you want” I asked weakly

She sighed

“Well, you weren’t supposed to see me, because I am clearly invisible right now. Any other being won’t see me, and if you can, that means that your power has gotten to the final level.

We need to find a way to rescue you from here” She replied, making my frown deepened.

“What do you mean; and who the hell are you?” I raised my voice a little

“You don’t need to shout Megan, I know that this might be hard for you to take in, but it’s me, Lottie.
I was forced to chuckle

“Ok…that’s right, I think I’m hallucinating again” I said out loud, closing my eyes and reopening it, to be sure that she is really there.

“You ain’t, Megan, it’s really me. Ok, the thing is I took another witch’s body in order to come here. The girl here is Riana, Violet’s friend who was sent by Violet to distract me, so I compelled her and took her body. Lazarus came to me for help and i…”

“Just shut the f**k up Violet, I know that it’s you again trying to fool me, get out!” I yelled, shaking my head, to prevent myself from getting angry.

“It’s not Violet, you just have to understand”

“Understand what huhn? Lottie is my personal maid, she is human” I snapped. She heaves a sigh, rubbing her temple

“I am not human Megan, I know it’s hard for you to take in but that’s the truth. I am a witch. I’m your guardian, I was sent by my late queen to check out for you until you are born.

You bare the seal of Enchante, you are to bring back peace to the mystic race. You are having a curse and blessing in your blood stream.

You being a lily is a curse from the vampire priestess of old, more than a thousand years ago, while the queen of the witches as at then, blessed you with the seal, but they both collides and meet in one body, and that’s your body.

Look at me Megan, look into my eyes, and you will see me” She stated, and I tried to believe her, she might be saying the truth. I stared deeply into her eyes, and just like a flash of vision, I saw Lottie smiling back at me inside the eyes of these strange maiden.

“Lottie” I muttered, she nodded and broke the contact.

“Now you believe right”

“But…but..how” I shuttered. She froze for a second and turned to look at me with a worried look.

“What is it” I asked

“The wicked queen is on her way here with the witches’ priestess. They will come to draw out your power and invoke the seal out of your mind. You need to resist them, until you are strong enough to break these bounds.”

“But can’t you take it off for me”

She shook her head.

“If I was in my normal body then I would have tried, but this itch is not as powerful as I am, her powers are not that strong. If I try using my power in her body she might die, and I don’t want that to happen.”

“But I am not strong enough to hold back, I am really weak”

“Don’t worry I will give you some of my strength.” She stated, and touched my hand with the tip of her fingers through the bar space.

She closed her eyes and started muttering something. And just as if I had taken a booster, I started having strength, and became so strong again.

“Thank you” I muttered, she nodded with a smile after she was done.

“Bang!!!!!!” something sounded at the entrance of the cage; right there is a someone who is dressed in royalty, might be the queen, another woman held a staff, looking like a priestess, and some men.

They all stared at me from that end with wide grin on the queen’s lip. I turned to look at Lottie but she was no more there, she might have vanished immediately she heard the sound

I bit my lips, heaving a sigh to keep calm, but my body was reacting in another way, more like it was gonna explode any minute from now.

“So…at long last, we finally have the keeper of the seal among us. I have..waited for centuries to see this day” The queen muttered surging forward as the others walk behind her.

Drusilla’s POV
I appeared in front of the Johnson’s mansion, I couldn’t appear inside the house because I haven’t been there before, so I couldn’t imagine it and appear at once. So I have to go in first and see how the interior is.

I quickly hid somewhere and changed into a pizza guy’s cloth; I had trapped him on his way to deliver something, and got his cloth out, with the pack of pizza.

I will just pretend like I came to deliver pizza and lie that I missed the address if they say that they didn’t order anything. I just wanna have a look at inside the house.

And just as I assumed, I was interrogated by the security guard stating that I am not the one that usually bring pizza to the house, more like they have a certain person who deliver orders from a restaurant.

“I am actually new, the other person is a bit busy” I replied him. He nodded and took me in to meet the chief maid, who stated that nothing was ordered.

I pretended to miss the house address, but within the few minute I had checked out the house according to Lazarus description.

After I had left the house with the aim of going to check out the address properly, I dropped the contents and vanished into the building, making sure that I appear in a hidden place.

I went directly to the room which I considered to be Lottie’s room, and smelt the magic used to lock the door by Lazarus. I unlocked it and went in.

The room is still in order, with Lottie’s body still seated on the circle, the candle light round it haven’t burnt off, her magic is still keeping them on

I heave a sigh ready to perform some magic, I will need to take her appearance and work as her still in my body.

I used the past hours to practice the spell properly before coming here. I sat opposite her just the way she sat, but not close to the circle.

Her eyes were opened but weren’t moving, anyone that comes in here will think she is still alive, but she is partially dead.

I stared into her eyes deeply, muttering words from the spell I crammed. A white fog started surrounding me, and when it was over, I felt my skin change to that of hers, my cloth was her cloth and everything about her became me.

I became her replica, her look alike. Now, I will have to go downstairs and act like her, continue her work as the maid, so that they won’t notice that she is missing, and check her out in her room.

“Hey you..where the hell have you been, you won’t tell me that you just suddenly went out without any permission huhn…” The chief maid who I met earlier yelled at me as I entered the kitchen. I met other maids, who were giving me weird looks.

I don’t know anything about Lottie’s character or how she reacts to things like this, but I’m just gonna play it cool.

“I’m sorry ma’am..i”

“Sorry for yourself, just get to work. You can help clean the cabinet, we need to stock it with groceries” She snapped and left, I breathed out in relief before going to do what she asked of me.

Lazarus and Logan appeared at the outskirt of the kingdom. It’s more like a plain ground surrounded by forests, close to where the creatures that are about breaking in are shielded off.

Lazarus groan a little feeling the discipleship bond on him, it felt so strong that he had to close his eyes to chase it off.

As a disciple, his work is to obey his master at all course. If he isn’t at loggerhead with the king and a strong vampire, he would have become hunter’s dog.

“What is it” Logan asked, looking strangely at him.

“They know that I am here, they would have felt my presence, and since the king has an upper hand over me in this kingdom, he is trying to bring me to submit with the trident’s power.

“But you are not giving them a chance to” Logan completed. He nodded, wiping his lips.

“Where are we, and what are these creatures doing here?”

“We are at the outskirt of the kingdom, if a fight comes up, I won’t want the civilians to be hurt. So I decide to choose this place, they will come for us soon.

And as for those weird creature, they are Onyx doing, he is fond of manipulating everyone. Many believed that the goddess is angry because we didn’t offer her the blood of the lily, but that is not true, the lily is not for the favour of the goddess, but for that of the royal family.

They are to drink her blood and get stronger than mere vampires. But we have always been lied to right from our childhood to be that the lilies are for sacrifices to the goddess.

“We can’t beat these creatures if they break in…”

“Well..well well….lazarus…what a pleasant place to meet. And you little one, you did a good job by bringing him here…isn’t it” Onyx cuts in, appearing in the air above them. They snarled at him, their claws springing out ready for a fight.

“Ouch…sorry to tell you idiots, I won’t be fighting you, I don’t do child’s play. The king will be here for you soon, but first, you can have this to play with” he grinned, and immediately the shield broke off as the creatures trope in surging towards the duo.

They both growled and started fighting them, as Onyx’s laughter echoes in the air.
