Chapter 61
(The Highest Bidder)

Lazarus’s POV
.
“Once I take over her body, just lock the door and get out” Lottie muttered, clearing out the books on the ground. I look at the unconscious witch who lay on the floor, breathing softly.

“And how are you gonna compel her? She is clearly unconscious” I asked, getting confused at the whole thing.

She said that the witch will be of help in getting out Megan from the kingdom, but now she is talking about going herself, believing that the witch might fail in the task, since she is best friend with Violet.

And Violet being smart might quickly figure things out

“I will put her to a deep sleep and take her body. That’s the only way I can get into the kingdom without the banished spell holding me back.

My body will be here, motionless for the time being. This is one of the most dangerous things to do.

Nothing must happen to me while I am here, that’s why I’m putting it in your care.” She stated.

I nodded, understanding her point.

She drew a large circle with triangular shapes into it, heaving a loud sigh as she stepped into the circle.

Positioning herself perfectly, she sat on it, crossing her legs like she wants to meditate, while her arms slightly relax on her thighs.

“I will read out the spell now, and transfer my spirit into her body. This is the first time I will be carrying out this magic, and it hasn’t been done for more than a thousand years. I hope it still works”

“We need to have faith…we are doing this for Megan” I noted. She nodded, breathing out, as she started chanting. I could feel the change in the atmosphere. It was getting intense not until she suddenly stopped, coughing out blood

“What the hell happened?” I yelled, trying to get towards her, but she raised a finger up, telling me to pause, in my movement. Her eyes were changing colours, she held a soft smile, assuring me that she is ok.

“Don’t step into the circle, it will burn you up..I am fine..just Miss-recited the spell” She warned
I nodded, flipping my tongue over my lips

She started it again and did it perfectly this time, because after a few minute of wind blowing and fog rising, her body became still, while the unconscious witch sneezed.

She opened her eyes and flicker it for a second before directing her gaze towards my direction. She smiled as it landed on me.

I was yet to confirm if Lottie is actually the one smiling, or Riana, the witch.

“Riana?” I called, she rolled her eyes.

“It’s Lottie..don’t tell me you still didn’t have faith after telling me to have faith” She snarled. I was force to chuckle.

She turned to look at her body and sighed

“I’m partially dead now…please don’t let it exceed that level. Keep my body safe” She whispered, and turned to leave.

“I will..but wait..how are you gonna reach me when you get to Megan?”

“I will asked her to mind link you..i believe she will be able to do that without any telepathy restriction.”

“No…she wouldn’t be able to do so now” I replied, she squinted

“Why?”

I sighed, rubbing my temple

“You haven’t completed the mate bond?”

I nodded. She scoffed

“What took you so long to do so?”

“I will do that when all is settled; just keep her safe…please”

“She is my responsibility..I will” She replied, closing her eyes, as she created a portal from Riana’s mind, entering into it, before it closed up. I locked the doors to her room from behind, and bonded it with a spell.

It will only be broken by magic and nothing else, except they want to totally destroy the door to the last point.

So Lottie’s body is practically safe, I will also do well to check on it, from time to time. But right now, I need to check on Drusilla, and later go to Logan.

He sent me a message which I didn’t see earlier. He claimed that it’s important. I hope it’s not what I’m thinking. Hope nothing is wrong with Celeste? I thought and exit the room through a portal

Celeste’s POV
.
All I can see is darkness; the only thing I remembered was getting caught in a cage and a wide portal swallowing me in, before blacking out. I might have inhaled something that sent me into unconsciousness. And lest I forget, I remember Logan’s voice calling unto me.

“Celeste..Celeste..” His voice rang into my ears making me jerk up.

“Argh” I gasped, sitting up on the cold floor in a dark room. I look around to see if my sharp vision could get a picture of anything.

“Celeste” A voice called again. I shook my head not wanting to be deceived. I believe that I’m awake now, so I shouldn’t be hallucinating, hearing Logan’s voice. I thought

“Celeste” it called again, but clearer this time. That’s wasn’t Logan’s voice, I know that voice and can recognize it anywhere. I turned to look at the direction where it was coming from.

Right behind me is my mate, Arthur, looking as shabby as ever. My heart bleed on seeing his condition, he was tied with ropes, each hanging towards the end of the cage.

“Arthur? Arthur…” I called going towards him, he look so weak, that made his voice so low when he was trying to call me

“Arthur” I called again, sobbing, as I hold his face in my palm. He smiled frailly
“Sweetheart” He managed to speak, coughing out

“What happened..what did they do to you” I whispered as pool of tear ran down my cheek.

“Hold on, let me free these ropes”

“Don’t bother…you won’t be able to lose them, they are firmly tied”

“No I will try” I was still speaking when we heard a loud sound from the outside.

“What is that” I asked, getting ready to attack anything

“It’s just the cage door from the outside; I think someone is coming in.” He whispered, while I close the space between us, trying to make sure no one coming in tries anything to hurt him.

Then have managed to keep him in a state between life and death, they will have to pass through me to torture him again. He didn’t do them any wrong.

And just as he said that, the main door opened, giving a loud clanging sound. The entrance was empty at first until someone stepped in; the king, Hunter, with his partner in crime, Onyx.

I could feel my blood boiling on seeing him.

“Well…well…at long last, we finally meet again, right pretty” Hunter stated, wearing a wide grin as he walk closer. I snarled at him

“No baby…you shouldn’t give me that face huhn…” he whispered before clearing his throat

“I believe you both have had a lot of lovey dovey moment together, you know…you both have been apart for quite a while, isn’t it” he snickered. Onyx’s gaze was on me all this while; I could see a look of disapproval on his face.

He seem lost in his thought to not have heard the question threw to him by Hunter

“Right….Onyx” Hunter dragged his question this time, looking at Onyx who regained consciousness

“Yes…your highness” he muttered, giving me an angry look. I could see him folding and unfolding his hand.

“And as for you Arthur..i once told you that I will get her and now that I have..haaha, you won’t mind me carrying out my promise, right in front of your face, right?” he grinned.

I looked at Arthur, confused at what Hunter is talking about. I felt his fist hardened, while Hunter busted into laughter.

“Let me see, hmmm…I will just have to wait till we get Lazarus first. You know…it won’t be fun if it were to be just you alone.

I will like her mate and brother at the same time, to watch me drill her ugly hole” he snorted. This made me flare in rage.

I jumped on him clawing his face mercilessly, not before Onyx pushed me off. I landed on my back, groaning.

“You b!tch” I heard Hunter say before walking out of the cage. Onyx casted me a long weird glance and followed him afterward. I smirk, satisfied that I left him a quick scar. Though it won’t take long to heal up, but it’s an achievement.

Arthur sighed out sadly, making me remember that he is still in the room

“I’m gonna lose the ropes just stay still” I noted. He nodded, pouting. I feel really sorry for him, he look helpless. Why will they do this to my lovely mate?

And as for Hunter, he might have succeeded in tricking me into this trap, but Lazarus is wiser than that.

He used my mate to trick me; I will see what he will use against Lazarus. I thought, and suddenly froze

“What if he uses me?”

Witches’ Kingdom~
Megan’s POV
“You shouldn’t give out your powers” the man in the other cell stated looking my direction
“What do you say” I asked, with the last strength in me. It’s been two nights now and I haven’t eaten or drink anything.

“The queen will come here soon; she might try extracting your powers. Take a look at the chain, and where you are standing on.

Everything has been set to extract your power from you, they left you here without food so that you would be so weak to resist.

But try with all your might to fight back, because if they succeed, then you are as good as dead.” He replied, walking back to where he usually sits

“Why are you telling me this, and how do you know that I have magical powers”
He shrugged

“I know…I can feel it. You are the long time prophesied keeper of the seal. You are also a Lily I guess. He squinted

“And why do you guess? What make you think so?”

“The feathery tattoo on your wrist; only Lilies have it as a sign that they have gotten to their mature stage.”

“Oh…” I replied, not knowing what else to say

“Who are you…what’s your name?” I asked for the umpteen times. He had refused to answer that question for a while now

“It’s Jordan” he replied. I nodded, and just after that, there was an entrance in the cave. Someone stepped in. One of the guards guiding the cave who held the keys to the cage came in with someone else, Violet.

I frown getting angry immediately I saw her. She didn’t come to my cage but Jordan’s. She stopped in front of his cage and bow, while the guard unlocked the padlock.

“Your highness…the queen has finally ordered for your release, according to my request” She stated.

“Your highness?” I thought, looking at Jordan. Is he a prince or what?

“And why will she suddenly release me, my time here isn’t up yet, right?” He asked, looking uninterested

“I asked for it, my prince” She gave him one of those naughty smiles. If someone were to tell me that I will be seeing Violet this way some months back, then I would have laugh it off.

He scoffed

“And why did you ask for my release”

“Because you did nothing wrong my lov…your highness” She shuttered, blushing.

Ok…now I get the message, Violet is head over heel for Jordan. Seriously? Was she about calling him, her love, or what?

“Thank you…erm”

“It’s Violet”

“Thank you Violet” he replied, going out of the cage. He looked at my direction as our eyes met. He quickly cut the contact before speaking

“Don’t get angry” he muttered, as Violet nodded, but she seems confused. Why will he say that she shouldn’t get angry, she thought. But I know that message was for me and not her.

He left with the guard later on, leaving me with her.

“b***h” I snap, pretending to be pissed. Now I know why she tried collecting my powers the other day, she made me angry and I let it out unknowingly.

“Who do we have here…oh..the lady who killed all her boyfriends right?” She smirked. I almost lost it at that word, but tried to remain cool.

“You are a murderer Violet, you b!tch” I snapped, she continued to laugh

“You see Megan, I will never live to see you happy. Wanna know what happened to those guys?

I made them cheat on you and killed them all after you have moved on to another, making that one be my next prey, until it got to Oscar, which was the last I think” She muttered, grinning.

My thoughts were right, she killed them all. What a bad luck of a friend I had.

“Your wish, but I wasn’t meant to be with them forever, and the right one for me is still alive. Trust me Violet, you won’t be able to lay your hand on his hair, because he will ki*ll you first, he will come for you” I resorted

“Lie..lie..lie…he is a vampire..oh..that little thing. He won’t be able to get through the walls, This is a witch kingdom dummy. You will just watch him die once he comes in”

It was my time to laugh, and I did it hieratically

“The same way you will watch prince Jordan leave you, to become mine.” I winked. She frown, lines of anger showing on her face. I think I won this one

“What do you mean” She snapped
“Oh…the blush on your face just faded, I thought I saw it a while ago, right” I teased, making her more furious

“You bas***d of a human” She cursed

“Prince Jordan will never be yours Violet, just wait and see me in action” I continued

“I hate you Megan..i can’t wait to suck out your f**king powers and shred you with my bare hands” She yelled.

“Let’s wait and see you that happens to first…the highest bidder will have the price” I smirk. Who will believe that love will make Violet so jealous and freaky furious? Gosh, I’m loving this. I’m yet to meet that queen of hers; I pray things work out for good

Phew…this is a morning breakfast. How many of you is in support of Megan dealing with Violet?

And about Celeste..how will she be rescued alongside her mate, without trapping Lazarus?

Lazarus is now in the condition where he has to choose between his mate and sister. Let’s see how it goes though, but you have to drop your comments.
