5minutes ” someone yelled
I looked at my wedding ring ,who ever thought I will be married today ,I removed my phone from my bag and look at a pic of my family ,a tear escaped my eyes …
you will ruin your makeup bae ” he said
hey,what time did you get here ” I asked
my wife is going on air to talk about our marriage ,maybe even about our sex life you think I would miss it? ” he asked
honey you said you didn’t want to come on air with me ” I said
there some questions they might ask that I want to answer on my own ” he said
1minutes ” someone yelled
people here like yelling ” I said

honey are you crazy ” I laughed
crazy in love with you sugar ” he said
don’t call me that you want me to be sick of diabetes ” I teased
and you are okay with you calling me honey ” he asked
Miguel Brown behave ” I said
put her mic ” a man ordered
Miguel pecked my lips

he giggled
even after 5years of marriage we act like that’s when we have fallen in love ..we all think life is all smooth but we don’t know that we will meet thorns on the way ..

I walked out and there was a lot of people in the audience, I became nervous ..
there she is an award winning author ,designer and my close friend ” tiza said as she opened her arms for a hug ,we shared a hug
am nervous “I whispered in her ear
you got this ” she whispered back
tiza is a very good friend of mine from college
we took our seat ..
you just won you second award this year ” she asked
yes” I said
how does it feel” she asked
I don’t know ” I said
the audience laughed
so how is the family ” she asked
I guess she wanted to make me feel comfortable or that’s her job lol
they are all fine my husband ,is back stage ” I said
woow that’s love ,he can’t let his wife be alone at night ” she teased
my husband is a sweetheart ” I said blushing
you are even blushing talking about him ” she said
that’s what love does ” I said
what made you start writing the book ” she asked
I never wanted to publish the book ,I started writing ,,when I was done I packed it cause I wanted to read it when I was bored ” I said
now how did it end up being published ” she asked
my husband is the one who published it ,through his friend ” I said
you husband believed in you huh ” she asked
of course he did ” I said
what made you start writing ” she asked
while I wanted read through what I have gone through ” I said
and you have been through a lot ” she said
I smiled
I wanted to ask a lot of questions but ,am told we have to bring out your husband ” she said
I smiled
we have to bring your husband out ,right audience ” she asked
yes ” the audience said
please welcome Miguel Brown ” she said and the audience clapped
hey Miguel ” she said
hi tiza ” he said
guys he is white ” she said
the audience laughed and I laughed aswel
I know right ” he said
how many years have you been married ” she asked
5years ” he said
courtship ” she asked
5months dating I engaged her after a year we got married ,so 1year 5months” he said
you have forgot no wonder you ain’t answering ” she said looking at me
yeah ,he is good with remembering not me ” I laughed
how did you meet ” she asked
do you want to tell them or I will” he asked
I will” I said
we are waiting ” she said
while a friend of my invited me to a birthday party and I didn’t want to go but she begged me ,you know those annoying friends who don’t give up until you say yes ” I said
I hate those friends “she said
we went to this party ,I just got divorced and I just wanted to be home eating ice cream but she managed to carry me out ,we went to this party I my my own business at the corner and here comes a white man ,he was starring at me ” I said
she gave me the most scary look ever ” he said
the audience laughed
he started talking to me ,and I felt so irritated ,I just wanted to leave ” I said
she got up and left me talking to myself ,she went to her friend and whispered something in her ear and left,I thought she was coming back but she never did ” he said
why did you leave ” she asked
while ,I just went through a bad divorce ,plus I wasn’t ready to entertain any man ” I said
how long have you been married with your first husband ” she asked
I got married when I was 18 divorced when I was 21″ I said
what happened ,I don’t know if you are comfortable talking about it ” she said
Miguel held my hand ,he knew talking about my ex husband was painful .
while I wasn’t enough for him ,he would disappear from home for a week ,only to hear he impregnated someone ,I was being beaten like I don’t know ” I said
was he your first love ” she asked
yes” I said
and Miguel ” she asked
my second ” I said
oh my gosh really ,you have only dated two guys” she asked surprised
yes ” I said
and you Miguel how many guys have you dated ” she asked
I think that a question for another day ” he said
we laughed
but why did you get married at 18,and Miguel don’t think I have forgotten ” she asked
I got pregnant and my parents chased me out of their house ,my ex husband was 3years older than me ,his parents died so they left they house to him ,.we got married through the court and after a few months I had a miscarriage ” I said
that’s sad ” she said
its okay ” I smiled
so Miguel is one of the richest man we have around ,wasn’t that an impact on your relationship ” she asked
am not the richest ,come on ” he said
you are ” she said
he laughed
I never knew he was rich till we got engaged ” I said
why didn’t tell her ” she asked
while I wanted to find a girl ,who didn’t love me for my money ,every time you would go out with your friends you would find girls throwing themselves at you and I was tired of that ,she got irritated when I first talked to and I knew that ,that’s my wife ” I said
you knew ” I asked
yes ” he said
how did she take the news that you were rich ” she asked
she threw the ring at my face and didn’t talk to me for a week or two ” he said
why ” she asked
I was honest with him when we were dating ,I told him about my past but this dude here had to hide his money ” I said
that crazy ,you have 3kids ” she asked
yes twin boys and one girl ” I said
how old are the twins ” she asked
they are 3 turning 4 in September “I said
and the baby girl ” she asked
a month old ” I said
you just gave birth ,your body looks amazing ” she said
thank you ,I have my personal trainer here ” I said
I read in your book that you were not sexually active till you got married ” she said
yes ,we wanted our first time to be on our wedding night ” i said
now if you get disappointed ,like he doesn’t have or he is a woman down there ” she asked
I thought about that ,one day when he told me he was going to bath ,while I was cooking ,I had to peck and see if he was OK ” I said
the audience laughed and clapped
you saw him naked ” she asked
yes I didn’t want to be disappointed ” I said
we have talked a lot about your book and marriage ,we haven’t talked about you clothing line ” she said
we are having a fashion show next week ,you can come its only k50 entry fee at the mulungushi conference center ” I said
we will be there ” she said
hope to see you there ” I said
Miguel you didn’t answer my question ” she said
next time ” he said laughing
thank you for being on this show ,hope to see you again ” she said

the show ended and I just wanted to be in my bed sleeping next to my baby girl..
you were amazing ” he said pecking my forehead
you too chubby ” I said

let’s go home ” he said
after the interview ,I kept on going from one meeting to the other , from one interview to the other .
no no he can’t die ” I screamed
babe ” he shook me gently
I opened my eyes and hugged him so tight
bad dream” he asked
I nodded
it’s okay” he said rubbing my back
baby dont go ” I said
the dream was about me” he asked
I nodded
babe it’s just a dream am going to be okay ” he said
I don’t believe that ” I said
look babe you are just going to miss me no wonder you having strange
dreams” he laughed
I slept in his arms that night ..
I drove him to the airport but my heart was telling me not to let him go because I kept on having a bad feeling about it .
babe am going to be okay ” he said
don’t go ” I said
babe come on ” he said
I let go of his hand..
I went home..
I cuddled my little girl still she fell asleep.
my phone woke me up.
chama” I answered with a sleepy voice
are you watching the BBC news” she asked
no why ” I asked getting the remote
just watch ” she said
I switched to the BBC news channel ..there was a story /news of a plane crush ,it a plane to London .
I kept on watching and discovered it was the same plane Miguel was in .
no it can’t be ” I said
I tried calling his mother and she picked up she was crying .
mummy why are you crying”I asked
the plane were Miguel was in ” she wept
I just dropped the phone ,I cried like no man’s business ..my husband has to be okay
#4months_later
why can’t my husband’s body be found ” I asked
she held my hand
I didn’t want my future to be like this ” I cried
over the past four months ,they kept on searching for his body ,some bodies were found ,the only thing they found for Miguel was his wallet
where is my husband chama” I asked
his body will be found” she said
his mother was in and out of the hospital because of Miguel ..
I lost hope that he was alive but I just wanted to say a proper goodbye ,a proper burial.
