#CATHY

I finished all the paperwork, I heard a knock. I told the person to enter.
“Come with me,” she said.
I got up, I wore my chitenge properly, when I saw him my heart dropped, you know when you are stupid in love, the moment you see that person the world starts moving then it just stops.
Maria rubbed my back and smiled.
“Hey,” he said.
I looked at his lips, this man has done charms on me, I have to give credit to the guy who gave him those charms, cause boy!.
“Mum is here to see you,” he said.
His mum, is he crazy?
I followed him, the mother got out of the car and hugged me.
The last time I saw this woman was years ago, she doesn’t age a bit.
“How are you.”
“Am OK mum, how are you?”
“Am fine, can we go somewhere we need to talk or we can seat in the car…”
“I think the car is fine mum,” he said.
We got in the car and she held my hand.
“I thought he was going crazy, you have grown into a beautiful Lady, am not here to waste your time, I have a flight in the morning am done here babysitting a grown-a$$ man, Cathy I know this boy hurt you and am not saying what he did was right, he should have controlled himself, no one is perfect we all make mistakes and I want to beg you to forgive him, but it’s up to you two if you want to give it another try, I see how you both look at each other that you love one another,” she said.
“I will think about it mum,” I said.
“Okay baby girl I need to go rest now,” she said.

I said my goodbyes
They left and I went inside.
“You guys made up?” Maria asked.
“No the mum came, she wanted to see me,” I said.
“So, Dalisto talks about you,” she said.
I chuckled.
I slept, woke up and left for work.
During lunch, I met up with Suwi
“How is the new job though,” she asked.
“Demanding,” I said.
We talked about work and I went back to work.
I saw Dalitso walking into the building with two men from our company.
I just faced down I didn’t want him to see me, even though I was far.
I continued working.
I finished my work and left.
I got home and I saw a car parked outside.
I went inside and it was Dalitso chatting with Maria.
” Hey,” I said.
They both turned and looked at me.
Dalitso got up, Maria was going to work.
“Why don’t you shower, we can drop of Maria.
I took a quick shower, wore my black short, a T-shirt, got my flur slippers.
We dropped Maria off, he drove to the mall
We ordered some shawarma we decided stayed there and talk.
“I don’t want to rush you, okay, I know you are with someone I don’t want to be selfish and just say leave him for me, “he said.
I nodded.
“you should at least say something,” he said.
“What do you want me to say Dalitso? I got nothing to say, ” I told him.
“So, we should be looking at each other like lost people?” he asked.
I shook my head no!
“then let’s talk,” he said.
“When is your baby mama giving birth?” I asked.
“next month and we having a baby girl,” he said with a smile
I smiled back, even though deep down I wished I was carrying his first child.
“Are you going to be there for the birth of your daughter, ” I asked.
“I want to be there,” he said.
“You should go, it’s your first child,” I said.
People were still looking at us that pic that he uploaded, not things.
He got up and went to buy us some takeaways, he started talking to some girl, he was laughing the girl was over there blushing and giggling like a 7year old.
I became so jealous I wanted to get up and kiss him.

“It feels good to be in love hey,” she said.
” Sorry,” I asked the lady who was cleaning our table.
“The way you are looking at him, it clearly shows you are deeply in love with him,” she said.
“Yeah he is my world,” I said.
He came back with the packs, the lady said hi.
“When are you leaving, ” I asked
“Am not sure” he answered.

#LISA

Have you ever loved someone so much that even though they never loved you, it didn’t matter, I thought getting pregnant for him will make him mine but naah, he still chose her. I met Dalitso in Canada at school, we became good friends he would tell me about a girl he loved all his life but he never had a chance to date her. When we started dating it was different he never talked about the girl never made me doubt his love for me, he showed me so much love and affection, you know I never questioned him.
But when he left for South Africa things started being weird, we broke up the cause of long-distance and I started dating someone else, but things didn’t work out with the guy I was dating. I missed Dalitso, am a desperate black woman who needs a man to love her. when we were dating, Dalitso never posted me, he would put me on his status but never on Facebook, when he posted that girl my heart sank
I called his sisters to complain but they all treated me like they didn’t care. If I received a call, it was “how is the baby, is the baby okay?”
But I was going to win his heart, how? because he was coming to South Africa and I will make him love me more than that girl.
“What’s with the ironic laugh,” I asked my best friend Linda
“I was just reading this book and am just happy my friend is going to be a mum,” she said.
“I wish I was happy that girl is making things hard for me to win Dalitso over,” I said.
I took a seat.
“Mama you have something that girl doesn’t have and it’s the baby,” she said.
“What if he only wants the baby, not me? He once said that before but I think I can change his mind.” I said.
“Didn’t they break up?” she asked.
I nodded.
“You see, you still got a 100% chance to win him over, use the baby,” she said.
She was right I had a lot of chance to win him.
He called that he was already in South Africa. I was so excited.
He came over and I hugged him
“You are big hey,” he said
I smiled.
I held him by his hand and took him to my room.
” relax you will hurt yourself,” he said
Dalitso was handsome, looking at him was like looking at ice cream, lol.
“Am so happy that you are here,” I said.
He smiled.
I went to the kitchen and got him his favourite whiskey.
“I can’t drink _ so here,” I said.
“What are we toasting too,” he asked.
“To us, we are going to be awesome parents,” I said
He smiled.
I begged him to stay over because he hasn’t been here from day one. I thought he would deny but he accepted.
Around 2 am I felt a sharp pain and I thought it was the baby kicking but it wasn’t. I woke Dalitso up.
I was in so much pain, I have never felt this pain before.
He got the baby bag woke my mother up and we went to the hospital when I have checked the nurse told me I was 4cm, yooh yooh the pain increased by the day and Dalitso was by my side throughout this time, he never left my side, he would rub my back when I was in pain.
Around 8 AM I was told to push out my baby and she was born healthy.
The first time I held her I knew my life had changed for the better, we were going to be a family the three of us. It was us against the world, right?
He held her, I took a pic of them and updated my status.
“My family.”
People started congratulating me.

“You need to make a decision baby girl, mark your territory that girl can’t take away your family,” Linda said.
“I know, I just don’t know what to do girl,” I said.
“Simple, tell him to choose between you and her, if he chooses her than he won’t see his daughter,” she said.
“But won’t that be selfish, I can’t do that, that’s his daughter,” I said.
“Do you want your man or you want the girl to take him away?” she asked.
I shook my head.
I didn’t want to stop him from seeing his daughter, is there no other way?”I asked myself.
The days passed and he was always around his daughter that which melted my heart, the way he played with her, made me thank God for what he has done, no matter what happens I was the mother of his first child.
