Episode 7

#CATHY
The months passed by so fast, I moved back to Lusaka and found a job. I was doing better for myself even though I missed Dalitso so much but I have to be brave. today was my girl’s chilanga mulilo.
“so, you and Dalitso have known each other that long, you have never had a boyfriend before?” she asked.
“Suwi let’s go, we are late.” I said.
“When I was busy fantasying about your man, you were looking at me that am so desperate, but I knew there was something going on between the two of you. That day you wore a black dress, he posted a pic of the shoes you guys were wearing.” she continued ratting.

I started walking out, ever since Dalitso uploaded a picture of us, I have become famous without even doing anything.
“Come on wait now, it’s not like we will even miss alot, there are a lot of people there to help with the cooking.” she said.
We got on a bus and went to Maria’s mother’s place. We reached and started helping out, the moment maria came out for the chilanga mulilo, they began to do things I didn’t understand. tradition I guess, later she came out to help with the nshima.
When we were done, we went to take pics.
The vehicle came to pick us up to now take the food to the grooms place.
We reached as per usual Bana Chimbusa demanded for money or we will go back. The men had money yooh yooh, it was raining money.
We took the food inside and they started explaining.
My eyes landed on Mike, I prayed that Dalitso wasn’t there as well, I couldn’t turn because I had a heavy thing on my head, but I was sure he was there because William is his friend.
We were now told to put the dishes/food down.
And we went outside to watch as Bana Chimbusa explained and danced.
I was imaging my chilanga mulilo, but with who?
My mind went to the night me and Dalitso talked about getting married, it was a heated night.

“You are crying?” Suwi whispered.
I wiped my tears.
“Why are you crying?” she asked.
” I never knew I will witness the day my friend will be getting married.” I said.
She held my hand, they continued talking till it was time for the men to start eating .
“Babe let’s wait a bit.” Suwi said.
“Wait for what?” I asked.
“I have called my boyfriend he is coming to pick us up.” she said
I nodded.
I felt someone standing behind me.
I turned and my heart was pounding fast .
“Can we talk?” he said.
“Talk about what?” I asked.
“You want me to make a scene, let’s go somewhere we talk.” he said.
I shook my head no.

Yet, I followed him behind.
He opened his car, I got in.
“Man! here is your food, you are leaving? Hey Cathy.” Mike said.
“Hey.” I said with a smile.
“let me say bye to William.” he said looking at me.
I nodded.

Suwi came to say bye cause boyfriend had arrived.
“Enjoy hey.” she winked.
“You are useless.” I laughed.
“Am useless today.” she laughed.
“Just go…” I told her.

After 30minutes, Dalitso came back with William.

“You wanted to leave without saying bye?” William complained.
I got out of the car and hugged him.
“You are not fair because your boyfriend is here we don’t matter.” he teased.
“Am sorry, I thought you were busy.” I said.
“Food, busy, Naaaah!” he laughed.

We spoke a bit, he left since he had to take pics with the bride.
Dalitso instructed me to get into the car, Which I did. He drove us to Tiffany’s Canyon, he booked a room there.
The lady who took us to the room was just starring at us.

“You can ask miss…” Dalitso said.
“You are just a cute couple even in person.” the lady said.
Dalitso was so stupid how could he upload that pic, imagine it was shared in all groups. Dalitso tipped her for the compliment.
“If you want to shower go shower.” he said.

I took a seat, he left.
I showered and wore a robe.
He came back with a plastic bag and handed it on me.
It had my lotion, body spray and a floral dress with slippers and underwear of course.
I applied the lotion and he just stood there watching me .
“I missed you.” he said.
“Is that why you brought me here, Dalitso you and I have nothing to talk about?” I said.
“I know okay, listen am miserable without you. I need you in my life.” he said.
“Well, I don’t.” I said.
“You don’t mean it, I know you.” he said.
“You used to know the old Cathy not the new one.” I said.

#DALITSO

I looked at her when she said those words, she was just being paranoid. She didn’t even mean the things she said.
“Take me back or I will leave by myself?” she said.
“You can leave…” I said.
I knew that the door was locked and it was getting dark outside .
She tried opening the door but it was locked.
“It’s not funny open the door, you hurt me very much.” she said.
“I know and am really sorry. I know sorry won’t change anything…” I said.
“Please open the door, my boyfriend will be worried.” she said.
Those words “boyfriend” really hurt me.
“You are dating now?” I asked.
“Yes and he is Waiting for me.” she said.
“Does your boyfriend know that there is a man that gives you an orgasm by just looking at me?” I asked her.
“Don’t be crazy.” she said
“Let’s see.” I said. I moved closer to her, her breathing changed.
I kissed her and she kissed back.
I caressed her body as she let out moans, I carried her and placed her on the bed.

I made an order and after 30 minutes our food was brought to our room.
We started eating, though I was a bit full from the food I had eaten early from the Chilanga Mulilo.
When she was done I called the lady to come get the plates.

“So, what are we?” I asked.
“Nothing. This was a mistake, I shouldn’t have agreed to come with you here.” she said.
I got up and kissed her neck while my hand was playing with her b**bs.
“Shhi… Stop Dalitso.” she said with her eyes closed.
“You want me to stop?” I asked.
She was quite, we ended up making love in the bathroom.
We took a shower together,
We slept without clothes on cause hey, ‘morning glory.’
We had our breakfast, went back to the room. She got her clothes and I picked up those used condoms I didn’t want someone to come pick them up for me.
The girl we found at the reception asked if she can help us take our pics, we took a lot of pics and I tipped her.
Cathy didn’t say a word till we reached Maria’s place.
I tried kissing her but she stopped me.

“Why don’t you want me to kiss you?” I asked.
“It was a mistake _ that was so stupid of me, I should have refused.” she said.
“Cathy…” She interrupted me. “Don’t Dalitso, leave me alone!” she got out of the car.
I watched her enter the house and then I drove off.
When I got home mum was busy in her phone.
“Where did you go?” she asked sounding worried.
“I was with Mike.” I said.
“Mike was here looking for you.” she said.
I just laughed.
“Who did you go out with?” she asked.
“No one mum, I needed some me time.” I said.
“But why do you have those things on your neck?” she asked.
“I was with a girl are you happy? ” I asked.
She just smiled.
“When are you leaving? your husband misses you.” I asked her.
“Am leaving tonight.” she said.
“Okay.” I said with a smile.

I loved having her around but the way she treated me like a 5 year old Nash, I was turning 29 years for crying old loud.
I woke up and she was still around, I gave her the ‘what are you doing here’ look.

“Before I leave I need to talk to Cathy.” mum said.
“For what and why?” I asked shocked.
“You were with her right?” she asked.
“Yes but what has that got to with this.” I asked.
“Dalitso, I want to know your intentions towards that girl?” she said.
I looked at her, how do I tell my mother that Cathy has a boyfriend?
I went to work. It was meeting after meeting, by the time I knocked of I was exhausted.
“Go take a shower than we go see Cathy, I need to leave tomorrow.” Mum said.

Wait the Cathy issue was still around.
I took a shower and had my dinner.

“Am waiting.” she said as I started watching soccer.
“For what mummy?” I asked.
I just got up, grabbed my car keys and we drove to Maria’s place since that’s were Cathy was staying.
“Hey bride to be…” I said.
“Hey you, I haven’t seen you like in forever.” she said.
“Busy with work, how is the kitchen party and wedding planning coming along?” I asked.
“If I was told it’s stressful I would have told William we just do chombela ng’anda.” she said.
“I think I would do that, it’s less expensive even.” I said.
“I know right. You are here to see your girl? you can go in.” she said.
“Just call her for me.” I said.
