Partial Obedience – Episode Four

Episode 4

That same night, Mama Nneka with the aid of her twin daughters took all of Maria’s belongings and threw it out of the house, including her Bible, anointing oil and other Christian manuals.

They believe that Maria has been charmed by the missionaries who came to their village and has been there for some time now.

Maria has chosen Christianity to be her religion despite the warnings of her stepmother, not to go against their family tradition which is to pay homage to the goddess of Owura River, known as the Ashimiri.

However, Maria had never succumbed to pay homage to the goddess; she believes she has a God in heaven, who is greater than any goddess.

She always sneaks to the missionaries’ church every Sunday while the family is away, either in the
market or any fun center they wish to go in the village. She also makes sure she comes back before their arrival, pretending to be home through out.

Eliza most times assists her on her chores after the church service in order to make things easier for her, preventing her from incurring the wrath of her stepmother.

“Look at all these stupid things this girl has been hiding all this while, after my warnings” Mama Nneka said referring to the Bible and anointing oil

“Mama, I said it! I said it. That was why things had not been going well with us, because of all this her witchcraft, in fact that Maria is a witch” Nkechi said, placing her hands on her waist, boiling with rage and fury

“Heiii, don’t worry today will be the last day she will step her foot on this doorpost, I will not welcome her in this house again” Mama Nneka said

“But Mama, what are we going to do with this rag bags of hers” Nneka said

“I suggest we burn it, I don’t want to see any of her pin in this house” Nkechi yelled with fury
Nneka stared at her twin sister wandering why she was in such rage, she knows that Nkechi sudden furious acts, isn’t just about the hatred they have for Maria, but something else is behind it.

“No, my daughter, we are not going to burn it, let’s leave it outside here, so that when she comes back in the morning and sees it, she will get the message, let’s go inside, it’s late already” she said ushering her children into the house

Back in Mama Nneka’s room, she laid on her bed reminiscing on what happened earlier

“Hmm, so Maria’s witchcraft has been the one spoiling all the charms I’ve been bringing from the owura shrine all this while, and I have been thinking the chief priest has been giving me fake charms to aid my business”

“Great thanks to the river goddess that I’ve seen all those secret witchcraft. I will make sure that Maria never finds peace in her life, she will always be troubled and end up becoming a prostitute just like her useless mother, with that she will learn her lessons, stupid girl” still talking to herself

“Haaa, I will make sure I chain her with my charms and…….she was interrupted by the sudden noise from the door, it was flung opened and her drunkard husband staggered his way to the bed, filling the whole room with the smell of alcohol.

“Stupid, good for nothing man, where are you coming from by this time” she said pointing to the old wall clock

“Woman!!!!!, don’t step …on my toes……this night, don’t!!! Or else i……will….” he muttered in his drunken state

“You will what, tell me, what will you do? She yelled, holding his shirt

“Woman, you this witch mother, let me sleep…..i..am… very…..tired..”And with that, he slumped on the bed giving a heavy sign, few minutes later his snores was raging through the air

“Mtchewwwww” she hissed, you are calling me a witch mother now, later in the morning you will start asking for money in order to use it to buy more drinks and drink yourself to the stupor, any way I don’t have your time this night..She napped

In the twins room that night, Nkechi kept on turning from one side of the bed to the other, hissing and mumbling loudly, Making Nneka uncomfortable and unable to sleep.

“Ooohoo, Nkechi what is wrong with you, I want to sleep please, you are making me uncomfortable with this silent noise of yours” Nneka said with anger

“Mtcheewww, hmm that girl has stepped on the tail of a snake “Nkechi mumbled furiously

“Wait oo, which girl again? Oh is it Maria, but Nkechi I’ve wanted to ask you this” Nneka said sitting up properly on the bed.

“Why have you been so hard on her lately?”

“We all have been hard on her, so what sort of question is that” Nkechi said giving Nneka a confuse look

“No Nkechi, you are getting me wrong. This strange attitude of yours is different from the natural hatred we have for her”

“Do you remember that charm I told you about the other time?”

“Which charm is that?” Nneka said, with confusion written all over her face

“The love charm I do use on Felix, my boyfriend, so that he will love me more and continue to spend on me.

The charm I collected from that naughty native doctor” Nkechi said
“Oh! Yes I remember, but what does it have to do with this discussion?”Nneka said

“Can you believe that charm is no longer working, in fact the last time I went to visit Felix he chased me out of his house calling me a b***h, can you imagine.

It was those witchcrafts that Maria brought into this house that spoilt the charm, how I wish I would see her tomorrow and beat the hell out of her.”Nkechi said, waiting for Nneka’s response but she seems lost in thought and couldn’t hear Nkechi calling her

“Nneka, what is it, I’ve been here talking to you and you are lost in your thoughts”
“Oh sorry, you were saying that Maria spoilt the charm “Nneka said.
Nkechi was slow to reply wandering why her sister was lost in her thoughts, but she shrugged it off

“Yes and I really need to get my Felix back” she said with a pity face
“Oh okay but Nkechi I thought you have other boyfriends, what are you trying to ki*ll yourself just for Felix, what did you even see in him” she said grinning

“No,no,no, don’t tell me that. You and I know that Felix is a handsome and rich guy from the city, if I miss this opportunity, how will I go to the city.
You know that a lot of girls do flock around him, he might choose one of them if I do not act fast”

“Ok oo, if you say so, anyway I want to sleep, you too should sleep and stop disturbing me with your body movement on the bed, please shift for me, goodnight” Nneka said drifting into the dream Land before her sister could reply.

At exactly midnight, a figure could be seen leaving the Martins compound, heading towards the lonely track route which leads to one of the most beautiful bungalow in the village apart from that of the king.

The figure clad in black transparent cloth, knocked on the door of the bungalow, knocking repeatedly until the door was open, revealing the almighty Felix wearing just his nighties
“Hey babe, miss me?” The figure said twirling round for him to check her out

“Yea I did, I have been waiting for you since afternoon I thought we had an agreement but you are just coming now” Felix said framing to be annoyed, “you kept me horny since afternoon”

“Oh darling I’m sorry for keeping you waiting, my mother sent me on an errand, that’s why I couldn’t make it that afternoon, and I had to wait for my family to go to sleep first before coming this night” she said winking at Felix who was lost staring at the revealing cloths she wore

“Oh my God, I can’t wait to take those clothes off” Felix said with lust on his eyes
“Anyway I’m all yours as long as there is money, then I will give you all styles, just let me in”, she said taking slow strides into the house

Felix couldn’t wait any longer, he drew her into a kiss, romances her all round and within minutes they were both in the bedroom.

“Don’t worry dear, I’m gonna make all your dreams come through, just make me feel good this night, you are always the best even better that your sister

“Yes I know that and I will please you more than you can ask for “she replied between kisses.
Within minutes they were both unclad getting into deep section of intimacy. After lots of rounds, the figure later gets dress ready to leave

“Are you leaving now, I might want more rounds” Felix said winking
“I know, but I have to go before my family finds out that I’m not in the house, especially my sister, I had to cast a sleeping spell on her before coming, but it won’t last long”

“Sleeping spells? Are those magic or what” Felix asked
“Kind of, but you won’t understand, the city people know nothing about supernatural powers” she said bragging

“Anyway I don’t believe in all those superstitious stuff, take this token and take good care of yourself” Felix gave her some money he took for his brief case

“Haaaaa!! 10 thousand naira, thank you very much, thank you, may the gods bless you” She exclaimed, smiling sheepishly

“You are welcome dear just know that as long as you satisfy me, there will be more money” he said grinning
“No problem” she said tucking the money into her brassier

“Wait, you can’t leave without giving me one last kiss” he said dragging her to himself, giving her a long kiss before releasing her
“Ok good night”

“Goodnight dear”

The figure ran out of the building heading back towards the compound, watching her back to avoid suspicion.

“Hmm, village girls, they will always surrender themselves to you as long as there is money, mtcheewww anyway I have a lot to do in the city next week.
I must finish f****ng every f****ng girl in this village, especially that Eliza.
Like seriously she and her friend are just too hard to get, her curves and shapes are so enticing and she won’t allow me have a taste of it, anyway I will get her one day….
