PARTIAL OBEDIENCE

Back to Mrs. Smith mansion, it’s been three days now since the girls arrive there, they have been treated well since they came into the compound, but they were still wondering why the guy they saw the other time refused to start a conversation with them.

He has been kind of rude and always distancing himself from them. Eliza was not bothered she also ignored him, but Maria couldn’t, she loves being in good time with people around her.

Just within the three days they spent, the maids and servant already like her due to her warm approach towards them, she is friendly and always make them laugh when she behaves like a bush girl or act ignorant to things she should know as a grown up, like choosing a fitting dress or wearing makeup’s.

Eliza always get angry with those behaviours of hers, she will be like

“Maria, what’s wrong with you, stops being a bush girl for once and behave well, it’s not like we are in the village, and we are now in the city, village girl”

“Hmm, when I checked last Eliza we both came from the village, village girl just leave me to do what I want” Maria said

Mrs. Smith couldn’t come back that same day, only to come back the third day and meet her husband’s son who she detest so much in the house already, she was filled with rage and starts an argument with him.

“Eric, what are you doing here, I thought you will be in the states, why are you back when your dad is still over there” she yelled

“Chill mum, what’s wrong with me coming back home, I missed it here please just leave me alone” Eric yelled back

“What??? You have the guts to yell at me Eric, how dare you” she yelled angrily, raising her hands to slap him, which he avoided quickly

“Mum, what’s this all about, I thought we sorted out our differences, why are you being so hard on me”

“That’s because I hate you this bas***d and I don’t want you here” she said out of frustration

“ Oh, you don’t want me to know about the dirty jobs you do or those stupid appointment you have with other men right, do you think I care about you acting like a b***h” he said

“How dare you” she landed a heavy slap on his face “How dare you call me a b***h, my job should not concern you, it’s my life and this is my house, as long as you leave under this roof, its better you keep your mouth shut or else I will send you back to the street where you came from, idiot” she spat, leaving him in shock and heading to her room.

Fuming with anger he headed to the garden, ignoring the maid’s greetings and kicking any stone he sees on his way with anger.

Walking into her room, Mrs. Smith threw her bag away with anger, throwing everything that is within her reach, she knows that Eric’s arrival in the house will be hell for her, she doesn’t want to take the girls to the club house where other girls are kept because she want to train them specially for some good customers.

Racking her brain she thought of what to do to get rid of Eric or perhaps train the girls without him knowing.

“Oh God, that silly boy just gets on my nerves, how dare he, just because my husband took him in doesn’t give him any right to talk back at me. Him being away gives me lots of freedom, Eric can be annoying at times, oh God what will I do” she thought.
