“Sorry about that dear, Anastasia said to Palesa.

 

“But ma that was rude, i mean he shouldn’t have done that, Jason replied.

 

“Why are you still insisting on it? This is business here, Palesa said and Jason shook his head.

 

“Okay that aside, I hope you’re not going back anytime soon right? Anastasia asked.

 

“Ermmm I planned to stay for 2 weeks or so, Palesa replied.

 

“Wow thats nice, am happy to hear that, Anastasia said and Favour and Faith walked in.

 

“Good afternoon mom, they greeted giving her a peck and waved at Palesa.

 

“Welcome dearies, Palesa meet my two daughters, consider them as your big sisters, Anastasia said.

 

“Am honored, I’m palesa, she said giving them a handshake and they told her their names.

 

“We’ll go eat now, They said and went in.

 

“My God! You gat beautiful daughters, Palesa said.

 

“You just saw my second set of twins, this is the first and they are boarding, Anastasia replied opening her phone galleries to Palesa.

 

“Beautiful I must confess, Jason isn’t it? Palesa asked showing him the phone.

 

“Yap but i think you all have some kind of resemblance, Jason said and Anastasia smiled.

 

“How Is that possible? Palesa asked laughing.

 

“People do look familiar and have some kind of resemblance with each other, is not a new thing, Anastasia replied and Julia called.

 

“Hello Julia, want your baby back? Anastasia picked up.

 

“How is she? Julia asked.

 

“Common she’s fine, talk with her, She replied giving Palesa the phone.

 

“Hello mom, Palesa said.

 

“Aren’t you coming home already? Julia asked and Palesa laughed.

 

“At first you didn’t want Me to come home, so let me be with the one who wanted me to come home, Palesa replied.

 

“Alright fine, but don’t stay out long okay, I know you’re safe with Anastasia, Julia said.

 

“Yes mom, guess what, Palesa said.

 

“What? Julia asked.

 

“Nah don’t bother till I get back, Palesa replied.

 

“Alright Darling, take care, Julia said and the line went dead.

 

“How long will he wait for us? Jason asked refering to the driver.

 

“Why not tell him to go back, I’ll drop you off myself, Anastasia replied.

 

“Alright I’ll go talk to him, Palesa said and left to meet with the chauffeur.

 

“So Jason, are you Palesa boyfriend? Anastasia asked.

 

“Oh no, am just her friend, he replied.

 

“Why just a friend? Or does she has a boyfriend? Anastasia asked.

 

“She doesn’t and I think we are cool this way, he replied.

 

“Uhmmm what do you think of Palesa? Is she cool for you? Anastasia asked and he smiled.

 

“Palesa is cool and i have no problem with her being my friend, he replied and Palesa was seen coming back.

 

‘He accepted, she said and they saw him driving away.

 

“That is Better, and that reminds me, I gat all your birthday gifts, Anastasia said.

 

“All of it? Palesa asked.

 

“Yes, from your first year till your 15th birthday. Don’t worry when we get home, I’ll bring all of it out for you, Anastasia said.

 

“You’re not serious right? Thats not possible, Palesa said.

 

“You’ll see. I hope you brought some pictures for me? Anastasia Asked.

 

“Oops not really, but I got the soft copies right here, Palesa said showing her the pictures she took on her birthday…………

 

Anastasia suddenly decided to take Palesa, Jason and the twins home, leaving Hope to take care of things in the restaurant.

 

“When its closing time, lock up everywhere and bring the keys home. Use this as your fare back home, Anastasia said giving her a little cash..

 

Hope watched them drove off and she sat down on the chairs nodding,

 

“Is she really your mother? Be sincere to me please, one of the girls calmly asked.

 

“I just told you she’s my mother, why are you still asking? Hope asked back..

 

“Sorry to say I know your family and you don’t look alike, as in you don’t fit in resemblance and everything, She said.

 

“You think so? Hope asked.

 

“is not what I think but what is obvious, she replied and shook her head.

 

“Not every kids get to look like their parents, that’s just all I have to say, Hope replied and went in…………

 

That evening Hope went back home but saw Anastasia coming out with Jason and Palesa,

 

“You live here? Jason asked when he saw her and Hope nodded.

 

“Alright bye, Hope replied and went in..

 

“She lives with you? Palesa asked.

 

“Yes, let’s go, Anastasia replied and they got into the car.

 

“Did you see the laundry I kept? Faith asked.

 

“Laundry? I didn’t see any thing, Hope replied and Favour came out throwing clothes on Hope face.

 

“Get that washed, They said looking at her.

 

“Now? Like now? Hope asked.

 

“Silly girl, now, they replied and Hope shook her head.

 

“I just got back, won’t I even take a rest or have something to eat? Hope asked.

 

“Would you have said this on streets? Faith asked.

 

“Don’t think I wouldn’t have had a better alternative, I only chose to come back here, Hope replied.

 

“Then who cares? Lucky you there is a washing machine so start washing, They said smiling and left for their room and Hope weakly sat down looking at the clothes……

 

Anastasia arrived at Julia place and went in with the kids,

 

“Finally you brought her back, Julia said and she laughed.

 

“Don’t blame me, its been years after she left, Anastasia replied.

 

“I understand, honey did you have fun? Finally you gat to see best nanny, Julia said.

 

“Mom she gave me this, can you imagine that? Palesa asked showing her the bag Anastasia stocked Palesa birthday gifts.

 

“What’s this for? Julia asked.

 

“15 gifts for all my birthdays, Palesa replied.

 

“Seriously? Ahh that’s too sweet of you, thank you, Julia said giving her a hug.

 

“Its nothing, Anastasia replied.

 

“Best come I need to show you something in my room, Palesa said holding Anastasia hands to her room. She showed her the stuffs she got and gave Anastasia a bracelet.

 

“Thanks darling its beautiful, Anastasia replied.

 

“I don’t know Best, but i feel so close to you like there’s a kind of deep connection between us i can’t explain, Palesa said.

 

“Like am your mother? Anastasia asked.

 

“Yea kind of especially the love and care you showed to me when I was growing up, it was special and i saw you as my mother. I think i owe you a lot, Palesa said.

 

“You’re my daughter dear……. I mean I take you as one of my daughters and I love you, Anastasia said and Palesa smiled and nodded….

 

“Jason I hope you’re fine? Julia asked while they waited for Palesa and Anastasia.

 

“Yea i had fun and i got to eat your delicacy, it was delicious, Jason replied.

 

“Are you serious? Did Palesa joined in eating too? Julia asked.

 

“Yea we did, it was awesome seriously and I’ll love to try it again, Jason replied and Julia just looked surprised.

 

“I can’t believe this, I need to hear this from Palesa herself, Julia said and Jason eyes fell on a photograph.

 

He got up and went to it to have a clearer view,

 

“Aunt this is you right? Jason asked.

 

“Yes that’s right, that was when i was younger, she replied.

 

“I Saw a young girl today serving at Anastasia restaurant, she looked exactly like you, Jason said and Julia smiled.

 

“Anyone can look like anybody, Julia replied.

 

“You need to see this girl aunt, am serious, Jason said and they saw Anastasia coming down with Palesa.

 

“I think you have something to tell me Palesa, like the native meal you ate today, Julia said.

 

“Oh i was about to tell you that, it was delicious, she replied smiling.

 

“Uhmmm weldone Anastasia, Julia said.

 

“I just wanted them to have a taste, I have to go now, Anastasia said.

 

“Thank you very much, we’ll see tomorrow right? Palesa asked.

 

“I’ll keep a very special delicacy for you both, She replied winking at her.

 

“We can’t wait, Palesa happily said and they escorted her out to see her off……………….
