“How…how do you know my name?” Minnie asked to the lady who strangely resembled her a little.

Evelyn just smiled…

“Let’s say, I do know your father. I came to see how you really look like and gosh!, you’ve become more pretty…just like your mother” Evelyn smiled, patting her hair.

“My mother?” Minnie asked confusedly.

“Yeah, I know its too hard to believe but I’m your mo…”

“Minnie!” Jace, the bodyguard exclaimed. He quickly pulled Minnie away from Evelyn, staring at her with shocked eyes.

“Do you know here?” Myles asked to Minnie.

“No…” Minnie said and looked back at Evelyn.

“Let’s leave… Your mom and dad are waiting for you guys.” Jace said and looked back at Evelyn who kept smiling, a smile that could scare someone away.

“Okay…” Minnie held Jace’s hand.

Myles nodded and looked one last time at Evelyn with a scrutinizing gaze before following Jace, with his hands in his pocket..

“Minnie, Myles. You’ve grown to be a soft hearted and kind cute girl Minnie while Myles, you’re the observant kind with a sharp mind who always protects her sister…just like your dad. Thats exactly what I need.” Evelyn said and chuckled before leaving the area..

THORNTON INVESTMENT**

“I wonder which gown I’ll go for for our wedding day… Its in two weeks so I want to be the most beautiful” Valentina said.

“Whatever you go for, you’ll still be the most beautiful woman I’ve ever set my eyes. You can even get married in a pajamas, you’ll still look good” Ricardo said, typing on his laptop.

Valentina laughed from where she was sitting..

“F**k!! You’re crazy!” Valentina laughed loudly.

The door swung open and the twins came in with Jace behind who held a worried look on his face.

“Mom!!” Minnie rushed to Valentina and sat down on her thigh.

“The ice cream were so good and sweet! I even met a lady, she was strange but beautiful…she even said she knows daddy!!” Minnie blabbed on and on…

“A lady? Who can that be?” Ricardo asked to Minnie, still working on her laptop

Valentina noticed that Jace was still standing there. Normally, he would have left immediately he dropped the kids.

“Jace? Any worry?” Valentina asked.

“Uhm…ma’am, I wish to speak to you and boss,,,, in private” Jace said.

“Okay, Myles…Minnie go wait outside please” Valentina said.

Minnie nodded with a smile and left while Myles followed behind her.

Ricardo stopped what he was doing and turned to Jace. Jace gulped down nothing and exhaled loudly..

“The lady Minnie was talking about… She’s Evelyn boss” Jace said.

“What?!” Ricardo exclaimed.

“Evelyn? Who’s she?” Valentina asked.

Ricardo sighed and brushed his hair back in frustration, he took deep breathes before turning to Valentina.

“Love, Evelyn…she’s my ex wife. The one who abandoned me and the kids.. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you this earlier, wanted to let you know once we get back home. She came here this morning and confronted me, telling me she’ll take the kids away from me” Ricardo sighed.

Valentina gasped. Her worst imagination has come to pass. Valentina slowly looked down.

“Jace from now on, I want you to double the security around the kids. Don’t let that woman come near her.” Ricardo said.

“Yes boss” Jace said.

“Excuse us please” Ricardo said.

Jace nodded and walked out of his office, closing the door behind him.

Ricardo stood and walked to sit down next to Valentina. He held her hand and kissed it.

“Love?” Ricardo called but she didn’t answer.

“Babe…look at me” Ricardo said.

Valentina sighed and slowly looked at him.

“Val, I don’t longer love her. In fact, I loathed her like never before…you’re the one that occupies my heart, mind, soul.. I love you and only you” Ricardo said.

Valentina smiled slightly and sighed sadly..

“I know, I’m just scared… Don’t know why I keep having this bad feeling.” Valentina said.

Ricardo cupped her cheek and kissed her nose.

“Nothing will happen baby. I promise I’ll protect you with all my force,,, even my life..you and the kids” Ricardo said.

Valentina slowly smiled..

“We’ll fight! Together” Valentina said

“Together…you and me!” Ricardo smiled.

He leaned in and kissed her shortly before standing up.

“I’m done with my work.. Let’s spend the rest of today in family.” Ricardo said, offering her his hand.

“Sure, that sounds good!” Valentina took his hand and stood up.

Ricardo walked to his table and picked up his coat with car keys before leaving with Valentina..

MONDAY, TWILIGHT HIGH**

Maxwell and Kimberly walked in the school with their hands interlocked together.

Well them dating is no longer a surprise to the other. Maxwell stopped and turned to face Kimberly.

“Good luck on your test!” Kimberly smiled.

“Thanks, hope it’ll be simple” Maxwell said.

Kimberly rubbed his shoulder soothingly with a smile on her face.

“Don’t worry it’ll be easy since you revised. I trust you…my baby isn’t a dullard” Kimberly said.

“My baby…love the sound of that.” Maxwell said and pecked her lips before leaving.

“Bye my cutie.. With the pace I’m thinking of you hope I won’t write your name in the place of another answer” Maxwell said while leaving.

Kimberly chuckled lightly and turned then left for her class.

Maxwell walked in his class and met the other students in their seats. He slowly walked to his seat and sat down..

“Hey bro” Maxwell waved at Karl.

“How you? Hope you revised well” Karl smiled.

“Well yeah.. This is the final deed man” Maxwell winked…

“Good luck bro” Karl said.

“Same to you”

Almost immediately, a lady walked in their class while holding a bunch of papers in her hand.

THE COURT**

“F**k!!” Evelyn ranted when she entered the restroom. She kept pacing round the room, fuming in deep anger.

This is the second process at the court and the favor was weighing greatly on Ricardo and Valentina.

Well it was certain… Since Ricardo was able to take care of the twin since they were still very young till now without any mother figure, he can definitely take care of the kids alone and now coupled with the fact that he will be getting married to Valentina tomorrow, they don’t see it necessary handing the children to her.

Now adding spices on top of the food, the twins were told about their mother and gosh!, you can’t believe how much they hate Evelyn and following the human right code, the children has the right to choose with whom they want to stay with…

“The third and final judgment will be in two weeks time! I can’t afford to loose them!!! I need them!!” Evelyn yelled like a mad woman.

“I need to find a way to get my kids back…” Evelyn kept pacing round the restroom, thinking hard.

“Just remaining one last procedure and we’ll win!!” Valentina exclaimed happily in the car.

“Yay!!!” The kids rejoiced.

Ricardo chuckled happily. He was the one driving…actually they’re on their way to the airport to welcome Logan and Kristina.

Their one month honeymoon was over and today they’ll be landing in New York so that they can attend Valentina and Ricardo’s marriage which is tomorrow, yeah you heard me right, Tomorrow!!

“Can’t believe that that woman actually thought she’ll win. She abandoned us for so many years just to reappear now and she thinks we’ll take her in as our mother? No way!” Minnie said

“I hate her so much!! Besides I prefer my new mom to her!!” Myles said and pecked Valentina who blushed

“Calm down young man… Don’t make my wife blush, I’m the only one allowed to that” Ricardo frowned.

“Jealous daddy!” Myles stuck out his tongue and sat back down..

They all laughed. Ricardo slowly drove in the airport and parked. They came down from the car and began searching for them.

“Over there!!” Myles pointed to Logan and Kristina. Logan was helping Kristina climb down the stairs.

“Aunt! Uncle!” Minnie exclaimed and ran to them.

She jumped on Kristina while Myles hugged Logan.

“You’ve grown cuter and taller!!” Kristina smiled, kissing her all round her face. Minnie couldn’t help but giggle

“Just look at how dangerously handsome you’re becoming” Logan said.

“Normally. Handsomeness runs in the blood” Myles smirked.

“Corky as always”

“Tina!!” Valentina smiled.

Kristina placed Minnie down and hugged Valentina.

“Missed you sis” Kristina said.

“Me too”

They broke the hug and made way for Ricardo. Ricardo hugged Kristina tightly.

“I missed you so much baby sis!!” Ricardo hugged her tightly.

Logan frowned and came in between them.

“Easy easy…. You might hurt my baby” Logan said.

“Baby?” Valentina and Ricardo exclaimed

“C’mon Logan!, the baby is still three weeks old so it is not yet formed” Kristina said and turned to the others.

“Guess he ruined the surprise. I’m three weeks pregnant guys!!” Kristina smiled.

“What?!!!”

“Oh my God!! Congratulations Kris!! I’m gonna be an aunt!!” Kristina hugged Valentina tightly.

“A baby? We’re gonna have a cousin soon. Yay!!!” Minnie jumped happily.

“I want it to be a girl” Myles said.

“No a boy.” Minnie frowned.

“You two have started again” Ricardo smirked.

“Don’t hug her too tight. You might be squeezing the place where my baby’s leg is.” Logan said.

“Logan!!!” Kristina exclaimed while Ricardo laughed.

He held Logan’s from the shoulder and ruffled his hair like a big brother would do.

“Stop that! I’m you elder” Logan said.

“You don’t behave like such! I’m happy for you bro… Congrats” Ricardo said.

“It was my duty to score a goal” Logan smirked proudly.

“A goal? How?” Minnie asked innocently.

“You’ll explain it to her… Don’t even implicate me” Ricardo said and began leaving with the others.

“F**k!!” Logan cursed and slowly turned to Minnie who was looking at him.

“A fork? You’re hungry?” Minnie asked.

Logan faced slapped himself…
