“Hubby” She smiled, sitting on a chair with her legs crossed over the other.

Ricardo kept staring at her like he was in a dream. What’s this woman doing here? The person who broke him to pieces…

He suddenly began remembering all the hardship, the heartbreak, the betrayal he went through and felt because of this lady in front of him. That made his blood boil in anger.

Evelyn stood up from her seat and walked to him with a smile on her lips, she was dressed in a classy and s*xy manner yet the aura emanating from her was something to be afraid of…

“Aren’t you happy to see me? I missed you” Evelyn brought her hands to Ricardo’s cheek.

Ricardo caught it before it could touch him. He brought it down forcefully before grabbing her by the neck, pinning her on the wall.

“What you doing here!! How dare you show your filthy face in front of me after all these years?! All these years!!!!” Ricardo yelled angrily.

“Let…let me go Cardo” Evelyn managed to say, trying to remove Ricardo’s hand in her throat but that only made Ricardo add more pressure on it.

“Aren’t you ashamed?! Don’t you have any heart?! Abandoning your kids at such a young age… All because of money?!!” Ricardo yelled.

He chuckled…

“Good things they’re no longer your kids but mine and Valentina’s…” Ricardo spatted.

Evelyn simply chuckled for a brief while before looking at Ricardo daringly despite the suffocating feeling she had in her.

“Not longer my kids?! Who told you that? So long as I gave birth to them, I fully have the rights over them just as you do. I know you’re engaged and I don’t care about your f**king marriage nor love… I came back for my kids, MY KIDS…and I’m gonna have them at all cost” Evelyn smirked.

“Good luck with that, let’s see who the law will favor you or me” Ricardo said.

He pushed, her away with so much force making her stagger backwards. Evelyn looked at him for a while and scoffed before leaving.

On her way out she saw Emilia coming. Evelyn simply pushed Emilia out of her way before leaving. Emilia furrowed her brows, she couldn’t help but see the red marks on her neck.

Emilia entered Ricardo’s office and saw him staring at the floor while brushing his hair backwards.

“Boss…you called for me?” Emilia said.

“Leave” Ricardo said without looking at her.

“But boss you’re…”

“Don’t you understand simple English!!! Leave!!! I said leave!!! Get out!!!” Ricardo yelled.

Emilia quickly left his office. Ricardo folded his fists and punched the table then flipped it over, making all the documents in it to scatter all over the floor.

“Damn you wítch” Ricardo spatted angrily..

“Your order sir…” Iris smiled, serving the person who came to her.

Gavin smiled from where he was seated, staring intently at her. He frowned when he saw how tired she was.

“Babe, come…” Gavin stretched his hand. Iris walked to him and sat down on his thigh.

“I already asked you to quit this job..I’m here and I’ll give you whatever you wish for. I hate seeing you stressed out” Gavin said, playing with her hairs.

Iris smiled and brushed her nose on his..

“I know but that’s what I love doing… I can’t be overly dependent on you babe.” Iris said.

Gavin smiled and stole a kiss from her.

“You’re more cute when you work” Gavin smiled and pinched her cheek.

Iris lightly punched his shoulder before standing up.

“Quit staring at me while I’m working and get to work… Your final exams is starting on Monday so read” Iris said.

“It’s so boriinnggg” Gavin whined like a kid.

Iris chuckled and stroke his head.

“Well you have to. I want you to excel!!” Iris smiled.

“Come on…Do it for me, please!!” Iris pouted cutely…

Gavin stared at her for a while before nodding. Iris smiled and pecked him before leaving him to study.

“I think thats all I need to take right?” Valentina said, checking her things up.

“Yeah, thats all” Peggy said, helping her out.

“Alright, thanks mom!” Valentina pecked her.

“You’re welcome, I’m just so happy that my first baby is getting married. When will it be” Peggy asked.

“Next month mom..” Valentina smiled.

“Wow! That’s just few weeks away. I can’t wait,, too bad there won’t be your father to walk you down the aisle” Peggy said sadly.

“And that’s a good thing” She added inwardly..

“Don’t worry mom,, there’s Ricardo’s dad!” Valentina smiled.

“Okay my child.. I won’t keep you here for long, you now have kids waiting for you at home. Go, I’ll come visit tomorrow” Peggy said.

“Okay mom. Bye!! Love you!!” Valentina waved and blew her a kiss before leaving.

She walked out of their house and saw the driver locking the booth. She looked back one last time at her mother before entering the car..

Valentina smiled and waved at their neighbors who were surprised to see her around. The car slowly drove off…

The drive back home was silent with Valentina pressing her phone while the driver drove silently.

Finally, they arrived back at the mansion. Valentina got down the car while the maids came to take her luggage in the house.

She went straight to the garden since thats were she left the twins who were playing.

“Mom!!” Myles smiled, coming to her.

“We’re bored mom! Why don’t we go and visit dad?” Minnie sighed.

“Well,,, okay. Go clean up, you look like dirty piglets” Valentina said.

“Yay!!” They rejoiced and ran into the house.

Valentina chuckled and followed behind them…

Ricardo’s office was back in shape and he was back at work though her presence earlier troubled him a little.

A knock came up on his door, making him look up.

“Come in” He said.

Emilia opened the door and walked in with a smile on her face. Earlier she was overjoyed when Ricardo reassigned her as his secretary.. Finally, she’ll get to spend more time with him.

“Here’s the files you asked for” Emilia placed it on the table.

“Thanks, have the technical department review this for me” Ricardo handed some files to her.

Emilia nodded and slowly walked out of the office. On her way out, she saw Minnie and Myles who ran pass her into Ricardo’s office.

Valentina came behind, looking at beautiful and s*xy as ever in that black mini gown of hers. Well like they say, money reveals beauty.

She simply walked pass Emilia without sparing her a word nor glance and entered Ricardo’s office. That infuriated Emilia especially when she remembered that they are engaged now.

“Honey…”Valentina smiled when she walked in his office.

The twins were already sitting on his thigh. Ricardo’s smile grew more, each time he sees them he’s always happy.

“Love..” Ricardo smiled..

Myles looked at Ricardo and then at Minnie. He slowly figured out that he had to give them some privacy.

“Dad, why don’t you tell your guard to take us out. I and Minnie want to eat some icecreams” Myles said.

“Ice creams yay!!” Minnie exclaimed.

“Oh…okay.” Ricardo said and made a call.

Not too long after, a man walked in the office.

“Jace, can you please take them out. The kids wanna eat some ice cream” Ricardo said.

“Sure boss” Jace replied.

Myles and Minnie got down Ricardo’s thigh and left with Jace. Ricardo looked at Valentina and stretched his hand to her with a smile.

Valentina slowly walked to him and sat down on his thigh. Ricardo held her waist and hugged her to himself.

Seeing her here just made him realize how important Valentina is to him. Other girls would fall for him just by hearing how rich he was but that wasn’t the case with Valentina.. Despite her status, she always stood for what was right. He still remember all the little quarrel they kept having. Maybe that’s what made him fall for her.

As time kept going by, he fell for her more deeply. Especially seeing the way she treated his kids like they were hers. Others would have hated them because they came from another woman but that’s not the case with Valentina.

Ricardo cupped her cheek, staring at with nothing but love and admiration in his eyes.

“I want you to know that I love you and no woman born of another woman can ever come between us. Please stay with me till the very end” Ricardo kissed her hand.

“I promise, I’ll stay with you till the very end. Love you too” Valentina smiled.

Ricardo smiled and leaned closer, kissing her slowly. Valentina placed her hand on his shoulder, kissing him back.

Ricardo’s hand ran through her back as the kiss got more intense. His hands rummaged through the table, before touching the remote. He picked it and then pressed the button, locking his office.

He broke the kiss and kissed her neck sucking on it but not that hard enough to leave an hickey. His hands crawled to her back and slowly pulled her zip down, caressing her bare back.

“A little quickey won’t hurt” He whispered and lifted her up, walking to the room in his office.

“Naughty…Naughty boy” Valentina whispered seductively to him.

“I don’t know why I just love this strawberry flavor” Minnie said, coming out of the stand they sell it. She kept eating her ice cream happily

“Where’s Myles and the guard?” She turned back and saw them still coming behind.

She turned from and without looking, she bumped into someone.

“Oh sorry ma’am” She said.

“It’s nothing Minnie” The lady smiled

“How…how do you know my name” Minnie asked, looking at the lady who strangely resembled her a little.

Evelyn just smiled…
