She stood by the bench in the garden as rays from the moon light fell on her skin. Her eyes raised to the sky watching the stars dance around the moon.

The sight she beheld from far off seemed peaceful.

Happy.

Oh! How ironic.

She thought wiping the tear that fell from her left eye, recalling what had happened few moments ago.

Everything he had told her really cut in….deep.

It’d really hurt her.

It made her realize she actually felt something for him. Their marriage was never out of love. It was a mistake that led to pregnancy.

He was her ex lover’s best friend. Her husband.

They have both been married for a year and few months. Just when they decided to work things out between them.

Just when she had begun feeling something for him.

She grunts out in frustration and pain recalling how he had caught her in bed with his ex-best friend.

She was making out with her husband in his bedroom….so she had thought.

They don’t sleep in the same room.

She felt so light as she was gradually consumed. Felt things she hadn’tfelt in a very long time.

That passion.

The heat.

She wanted more. She wanted him.

The light had suddenly switched on so she lifts her eyes to find her husband standing at the entrance. His hand was still on the light switch as he froze obviously stunned by what he was seeing.

She slumped on the bench recalling how she’d ran after him when he quietly walked away. She was going to explain things to him.

The act surprised her ex-lover, she never knew when he left as all she wanted to do was talk to her husband.

The facts that they got married the way they did doesn’t give her room to cheat.

She felt tears flowing endlessly as she recalled everything he said to her.

“I only put a ring in your finger and kissed you in a church”

“You don’t need to explain anything”

I did this(marriage) because I never wanted an illegitimate child and I felt bad about what I did to you. To my best friend….both of you.

He doesn’t feel the same way and he made it clear.

They had been doing so good, she had even thought he would soon want to take things to another level as they had both agree to start things all over.

She never knew there was no feelings attached, on his part.

She wanted another baby as she lost her previous.

The only reason they had both gotten married in the first place.

She wanted a happily ever after.

But he doesn’t…not with her.

Probably never.

*She need not to only get up from that bench buh to definitely go get her husband…lol*
