Chapter 2

(Continuation of the flashback)

2 weeks later

 

Wooga hospital, Busan 🏥🏥🏥

 

Lyka opened her eyes but closed it again because of the ray of light which shone into her eyes. Her eyes remain close for a while and then she reopened it. She looked around wondering where she is but she was clueless until a man on white coat came in, looking at him she realised that he’s a doctor

“What am I doing the hospital? “She has looking confused

“well you fell and injured yourself during the explosion at a hovel downtown “he explained

“So it was an explosion ? “She suddenly remembered her child and started panicking

“What is it madam? “The doctor asked

“My baby I left her with my neighbour ,where is she?”she asked

“Well only the police can answer that question madam “he checked her drip bag, control the flow of the liquid and finally excused himself

‘ Why didn’t he say anything? Where is my child? Where is Old mother Brenda? What really happened? Oh no!!! I need my child right now.’ she kept wondering and questioning that self silently.

The door to her ward opened a two policemen came in.

“Hello madam “they greeted

“the doctor told me that only you guys can tell me where my child is please where is my child I really want to see her?”

“Was your child in the hovel when the explosion took place? Because we didn’t find any baby with you when we saw you “the policeman asked

“She wasn’t with me I actually went to get her drugs and I left her with Old mother Brenda in the Hovel on my way coming back from the pharmacy I had a blast and I fell, that was all I could remember”lyka explained

“Ok babe no problem you get to see your daughter where did get discharged”the man said and lyka smiled

“So you mean she’s ok? “She asked happily

“yes sure, she’s ok “the policeman smiled the thin one

“But I want to see you asap please “Lyka pleaded

“Your doctor told us not to stress you so you get to see her after your discharge like I said before ”

“ok I hope I get discharged as soon as possible I really want to see my daughter”lyka said as the policemen left her ward

“Thank goodness my child is ok,am so happy.”she kept smiling and hoping for her discharge sooner than later.

 

A week later

The police van came to a halt in front of the police station. Lyka and two policemen came down from the vehicle, they entered the station together and the first policeman went to meet the other one at the counter they both spoke in whispers that lyka couldn’t hear what they were saying she had to strain her ears but even that, she heard nothing.

Soon the policeman came to them,he didn’t say anything as he walked back to the van. Lyka and the other police followed the first one. They started the van I soon came to hospital not too far from the station. On entering the hospital,a nurse ushered them to the doctor’s office.

“Sir can we see the baby,the one that was found at the hovel”the policeman said and the doctor led them through a hallway. They finally came to a door, lyka looked up and saw a door tag above, ‘morgue’ was written on it.

“Why are we entering a morgue? I said i want my baby not visit a morgue “she complained looking all confused.

“Madam we’re sorry…

 

END OF FLASHBACK

Lee villa Seoul, Korea…3:00pm

Hiah came in happily with her backpack and two guards behind her

“Dad…”she called immediately she saw her dad.

“Daughter”he opened his arms wide and she jumped on him. He patted hair softly

“How was school today?”Bryan asked

“Fine dad… where’s mummy?”she asked

“Hmmm… maybe she’s in her room “Bryan put her down

“Ok i’ll go meet her “hiah said and rushed upstairs.

Proper introduction, remember the couples who got married 4 years ago? Well… they’re BRYAN LEE and AURORA KIM and the result of their union is the cute little HIAH LEE

Aurora sat in front of her dressing mirror, she looks absent minded and didn’t notice when hiah came in.

“Mum!!!”hiah called happily as she rushed to sana but she wasn’t moving,hiah tapped her gently making her to jerk out of her thoughts.

“What is it?”she asked the poor child rudely

“Mum are you ok? You were absent minded…is anything the matter?” Hiah asked with worry written all over her face

“How does that concern if I’m not ok stay away from me you stupid element… I don’t want to see anywhere near me you hear?”she shouted making hiah flinch

“Mother…”she cried

“Get away! Am not your mother stay away from me, stop calling me that! I hate you, can’t you see?”aurora pushed the kid making her fall, she hit her leg on the table in the process

“Mum…my leg”she cried

“Don’t call me your mum are you deaf?”

Bryan who had heard their voices from downstairs rushed into the room, what he saw awakened his anger. He rushed to hiah and carried her

“Are you nuts? Why would you do this to your daughter who came to say hi to you?”Bryan quarried

“Tell her to stay away from me” aurora yelled

“But she’s our daughter, how do you expect a daughter to stay away from her mother?”he asked, at this point,Mrs vera and Mr Lee had already entered the room.

“Daughter my foot… just stay away”she yelled and left the room almost immediately

“She’s nothing but a b****” vera said watching aurora leave

“Baby…am so sorry”he pat hiah’s hair gently

“She said she’s not my mummy…”hiah cried

“She just said that as a result of frustration ok, you’re my daughter and my princess ok”Bryan said as he kept patting her hair.
