Chapter 52

~The Next Day~

“Hey sleepy head, it is morning already” Brittany yelled at Nora who was busy snoring on her bed. She yawned loudly and slum back on the bed but was followed with a hard spank from Brit.

“What was that for” Nora yelp

“Get up you dump bag and head to the bathroom now, we are needed at the square in ten minutes time, and you know the penalty of coming late” Brittany resorted, leaving the room. She had her plans in place and smiled to herself before leaving.

Nora gasps on checking the time; she couldn’t believe that she slept for that long. Though she used to be a heavy sleeper, but doesn’t sleep for this long. What really happened today? She thought, running into the bathroom to freshen up.

“Hey, didn’t see you at the club game last night, where were you” Jane asked Brittany as they both walk to the square munching on chips.

“Well, I had to do something important last night, never knew that I will take long. And whereas, I wasn’t interested in the game” Brit replied

“So what was that, that you went to do without involving your bosom friend”, huhn” Jane teased while she chuckled.

“Let’s say it’s about to reveal itself, just be patient” Brittany grinned, but Jane didn’t get the message. She simply shrugged as they continued their walk.

Brittany stared at Nora from where she sat, as Macho the clan leader, addresses them all. Nora was busy scratching some part of her body, as a result of an inching effect it was having on her. After Brittany woke her up she hurriedly took her bath, picked up the cream and applied it on her body; not noticing the fact that it had been changed. She didn’t bother to look at it properly, believing that Brittany will never try to change it since she doesn’t know about her plans. Right now, she is feeling a hot intensity of heat inside her body, and the poisoned cream is having its effect.

She tried to stay calm but nature won’t have it that way. She let out a loud cry when her body became heated up, and the inch increased, spreading all across her body. This disrupted the speech of Macho and with a frown on his face, he shouted at her to keep shut but that only added fuel to fire; she continued shouting, screaming for help. Brittany sat quietly with a smirk on her face but wasn’t obvious to those around. The rest members tried calming her down, as she rubs herself on the floor. They thought she was running mad, perhaps too many hard drugs had gotten into her head, but they were wrong. It was when they noticed the change of her skin that they took up quick action, carrying her to the clan clinic. The meeting ended abruptly and was postponed to the next day.

“That was strange, what really happened to her” Jane asked, puzzled at the way Brittany didn’t really react to the matter like the way the others did.

“Is there something you ain’t telling me Brit…Nora is your roommate isn’t it? And If I’m not mistaking, I think she has come in contact with some form of acid or so; her skin is damn peeled

“Hmm, yea….wanna hear a little secret” She asked, while Jane just stared at her, nodding her head slowly

“Fine…come let’s talk…

Triple Boy’s Lounge

“Hey guys I will be in my room, need to rest” Michael stated to the two other boys as they only nodded their head concentrating on the game they were playing

“Ouch….you won again…I’m gonna beat you this time, trust me” Eugene muttered; Micheal rolled his eyes and left them to their game. What was in his mind is to check what is in that flash he saw at Sophia’s place. He picked up his laptop, removing the flash drive from the safe place where he kept it and inserted it in the port. It reads for a while before showing on the system. He clicked on it as it displayed different files that were without value. He checked almost all of it but didn’t see what he was looking for; everything contains junks and so on.

He sighs, rubbing his temple in an annoying manner. There must be something in it that will make them wanna dispose it, he thoughts.

Then his eyes caught one other file that he hasn’t checked. He clicked on it and it displayed a video. With a smile lingered on his face, he was about playing it when someone barge into his room. He removed the flash immediately and closed the laptop.

“What…can’t you knock?” he yelled, glaring at Eugene who rolled his eyes.

“Must I knock before entering your room” he resorted

“Just get out of here”

“Someone is here to see us, so get your a$$ out now” Eugene stated, going out of the room

“F**k” he cursed, keeping the flash back in the safe

“I will just check it later” he thought, leaving the room.

Flora woke up with a smile on her face, she turn to the other side of the bed and gasp seeing a pair of eyes staring down at her. She suddenly remembered the event of last night, and how Karl was forced to spend the night with her. They couldn’t get enough of each other, and even when he tried resisting her, she forced him to give in. Well, it wasn’t her body taking control this time; she felt her mind and spirit working in hands.

“Hey, good morning” He greeted her with a wide smile which she returned. She was still under the bed sheet which covered her n*de body. Karl was already dressed; he only sat on the bed beside her with a tray filled with slices of bread, jam and a hot cup of tea. Her favorite fruit and chips were also added, and this marveled her a lot.

“Good morning” She replied, shyly. He chuckled

“How was your night?” he asked, caressing her cheek, as it becomes red as tomato; she blushed hard remembering the way she mo@n his name.

“Fine” She responded softly, trying to cover her blush. He noticed that she was shy and laughed briefly

“Hey come one, don’t be shy ok…here, I make you breakfast. Are you gonna eat in bed or you want me to set the table”

“Oh….ermmm….i will just have to freshen up first” She grinned. He nodded

“Ok….let me just keep this” he dropped the tray on a nearby stool and faced her again. She was yet to get up from the bed as she used the sheet to cover her body. She doesn’t know how to tell him to excuse her being that he had seen everything last night. But right now, she felt like the ground will open and swallow her if he stares at her n*de body. She calculated the distance from her bed to the bathroom and sigh.

“Come on Flora, you ain’t a kid anymore, just get up and go in” her subconscious spoke, but her body was weak. Karl quick noticed her hesitation and understood her reason for behaving that way. He smiled softly

“I will just leave the room, so that you can freshen up” he stated, and she felt relief all of a sudden. It’s not the first time she had gone down with a guy. First it was Axel, he took her innocence, then Michael, whom she cheated with on Axel, against her wish; well that’s a story for another day. Then the brief moment she had with Aiden, which she still couldn’t comprehend what triggered it up till now. But all these guys never had such effect that Karl had on her, perhaps those guys were not meant or her, but she was just too blind to notice on time.

“Ok…thanks” She mouthed, with a little smile

“Or should I just bath you” Karl muttered, trying to pull her legs with a grin on his face

“No!!!” She yelled, while he laughed heartedly, leaving the room.

After taking her bath, they both settle down to have breakfast. He kept smiling as he watch her eat, he hasn’t seen the shy part of until today; perhaps it’s due to what they had last night. He wish it would continue that way, and hopes she accepts him into her life. He had waited so long for this moment, though, he didn’t expect the event of last night, but didn’t regret it one bit. All he wants is to see her happy and trust him, because he is ready to make her forget her pains, and tell him what really happened to make her do what she did in the past.

Flora on the other hand as been smiling too, but she suddenly frowns in her heart. What if he only wants to have a taste of her and dump her, now that she is feeling this way towards him? She had vowed to tell him every details of what Sophia made her pass through. But she is feeling really scared, what if things turn out wrong? She prayed she is doing the right thing this time, because right now, she isn’t feeling anything but love for him, which she will want to keep. She prays Axel finds it in his heart to forgive her after finding out the truth. Same goes to Aiden; she doesn’t know what Karl will think of her if he finds out about her moment with Aiden.

“Should I just tell him about everything” She thought

Ariel’s Lounge

“So what plan do you have after this contest” Mia asked Ariel who was busy munching in her snacks. Well, after their little talk the other day, Mia told Ariel to forget about what she said, stating that she didn’t mean any of it. But Ariel being that she didn’t want to prolong matters left it that way; and they continued being friend just like the way they were. Right now they are all having a free time, so Mia decided to visit her, since she is bored.

“Don’t know yet, but if I win, then it will be a new beginning for me. It means that my dreams are coming through and I will just continue with my music career alongside studying in school.” Ariel stated

“What about you” She asked

“Hmm, despite the fact that I love music, I don’t think I will want to take it as a career. I think modeling will do. Just had interest in contest and all that…” Mia replied

“Oh…really, you got the shapes though…it suits you. And whereas I know of one Model…what’s even her name”

“Flora” Mia stated

“Oh…you know her too?”

“Huff…who won’t know the queen with the perfect body? Well, I heard she was once Axel’s girlfriend, don’t know how true it is though. If they really dated, then it means they never let the world know about it” Mia muttered. Ariel shrugged

“I think she is….” Ariel was about saying something, when her phone rang, as Aiden was displayed as the caller. Mia saw it in time before she does, but quickly look towards the other side. Ariel picked up the call and hung it up after few minutes’ silence. She sighs softly

“Ermm….Mia…I need to go see Aiden, now, I will be back” she stated. Mia simply smiled with a nod

She arrived Aiden’s lounge in no time, as he welcomed her with a warm hug

“Hey pumpkin” he smiled, patting her hair, as his gaze went towards her lips but he retrain himself. She didn’t feel the usual spark she do feel whenever he hugs her, and it amused her

“Er…hi…it’s been a while” She smiled, fidgeting with her fingers while he went to sit on a stool, his gaze still on her.

“Yea…..”

“Why weren’t you present at the contest?”

“I was stressed, I had to rest” he stated, then frown. “But you didn’t check up on me; not even a call Ariel”

“Ouch…erm..” She became lost of words. She never thought of Aiden for once when he didn’t show up; all her thought were on Axel, why is Axel having so much effect on her to the extent that she forgot to reach Aiden; this hasn’t happened before, she thought.

“I’m sorry Aiden; the numerous practices we had this week made me forget, I’m so sorry” She pouted. He chuckled, picking a glass from the table as he poured wine into it

“Here….have this” he offered, she collected it and joined him, sitting on a stool, as she takes sips from it

“I miss you so much, this contest should just end so that we can be together again” he winked. She just smiled. But what does he mean by that. She watched him as he drinks from the cup, as lots of thoughts kept coming to her mind. She suddenly paused at a thought

“Perhaps you should k**s him, and see if you still have those feeling for him” Her subconscious said, but she shrug it off

“No, I can’t do that; I’m indirectly hurting my friend if I do, but come to think of it. He is not her boyfriend and this will not be the first time I’m k**sing him. But I’m only going to do it now, to see where I stand” She thought, and just before he could strike another conversation, she dropped the glass cup, pull him forward and slam her lips on his, leaving him shocked, but he regained his composure and k**sed her back.

Few second into the k**s, the door bang open revealing the last person Ariel will want to see at that tempting moment.

“Mia!!” She gasps
