EPISODE 12.

 

 

“What?” Anna removed the phone from her ear and stared at the screen to be sure she wasn’t hallucinating..

How did he get her phone number? She doesn’t remember giving it to him.

” I believe you’re not deaf.” He groan and she scoffed quietly.

“I don’t know who this is and you can’t just order me around.” She huffed and he wondered why this little woman was trying to get on his nerves every time..

“Don’t tell me you don’t recognize your fiancee’s voice… Get ready I’ll come pick you up.” It sounded like a order and he hung up before she could refute his words..

“Crazy bas***d!” She cursed out loud even though she knows the call had been disconnected..

“Aww they’re so in love they’re playing on the phone.” Anny placed her hand on the table and rested her head on it so she could stared at her sister like a love struck puppy..

“What did he say? Is he taking you on a second date?” Her mom asked eagerly. The eagerness in her mom’s eyes made her heart ached..

She wished she was actually going out with a real boyfriend but unfortunately she had no choice..

“He’s coming to pick me up.” She mumbled under her breath like a shy teenage girl and that added more salt to her injury..

“See mom! She’s totally in love with him and can’t stay away from each other.” Anny and her crazy theories..

“Tsk! I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She glared daggers at her sister and turned to her mom with a smile..

“Mom can you help me get ready? I don’t really know what to put on.” She blinked rapidly waiting for her mom’s response..

Mrs Laura and Anita shared a knowing look and burst into ripples of laughter.

“Of course my darling, I’ll make you so beautiful he’s gonna have his eyes on you only.” She said with a proud smile..

 

Eyes on her? A narcissist only have eyes for themselves.

“Eat up people! It’s getting cold!” Annabelle wasn’t the type to waste her meal..

She made sure she ate everything and rushed back to her..

He’s probably taking her to see his family or something else , either way she’d to look good to save face..

Anna might be a lady from an average family but she always made sure she bought dresses which were seductive and expensive..

She opened her wardrobe and looked around when her eyes caught sight of a white dress which was suitable for any occasion.

 

“Did you find a dress?” She heard her mom’s voice from the door..

Mrs Laura walked into her daughter’s room and found her holding a white dress..

“What do you think mom?” She placed it against her body and Mrs Laura was truly impressed by this prodigal daughter of hers.

At least she’s got some taste..

“Splendidly beautiful.” She mumbled..

“Did you steal these?” Mrs Laura asked the question that was ringing in her head.

“Mom!” Annabelle didn’t know whether to laugh or cry..

“I was only asking. ” Her mom chuckled softly and took the dress from her..

“This is everything I could find on Annabelle Ross.” Sebastian his driver and right hand man bowed slightly Infront of his boss and handed over the brown envelope..

“You can leave now.” Lucas said without taking his eyes off his laptop..

“Yes boss.” He bowed and scrawled away.. the boss’s office was like the devil’s den it’s always cold..

Once Sebastian was outta sight he stopped what he was doing and took out the documents in the file..

He smirked mockingly as he went through her personal information..

“What are you planning Grandfather?” He narrowed his eyes as he kept staring at the information in his hand..

A petty thief? Tsk!

She’s just a petty thief with no background, he couldn’t understand why his grandfather would choose someone like her.

What was he planning?

“Let’s see how long you can keep up.”
