“Why did he take the bait without putting up a fight?” The mysterious lady couldn’t help but think about Lucas Caine’s strange behavior.

She was expecting him to reject Annabelle Ross because she’s from a lowly background but to their wildest dreams he agreed to marry her…

“I’m also having a bad feeling about it. What if he saw through our plans? Should we get rid of Annabelle Ross?” The man who sat down with his legs crossed..

He has a murderous aura surrounding him, making him stand out among others..

“No that’s impossible.. I made sure everything’s flawless so there’s absolutely no way he caught on.” The lady seemed to be in deep thoughts as she stared at the floor to ceiling window in her office..

It took years to find someone who wasn’t pretentious or stupid to execute her plans..

Annabelle Ross was the perfect Candidate in getting what she wanted.

And she won’t stop at nothing until she gets what’s rightfully hers..

“That Annabelle girl seem like a stubborn one, I’m dying to know why you choose someone like her.” The man also didn’t understand why she choose a petty pick pocket as the woman who would bring down the most powerful billionaire in the country..

He knew it was no ordinary reason, there’s definitely something about the petty thief.

“That’s my secret to keep.. plan A is working perfectly, let’s move to Plan B shall we?” She smirked proudly and began typing off on her laptop..

“They won’t know what hit them.” The man twirl the glass of whiskey in his hand and gulp down everything….

It was the weekends and Anna was busy at the garden. Her mom loves rose Anna would always plants flowers at the garden whenever she was free…

“Lunch is ready Annabelle!” Anny called out to her sister from her room window..

“I’ll be done in ten.” Anna half yelled and hurrily planted the rest of the flowers and took a deep breath..

The garden was looking exceptionally beautiful thanks to her .

Her mom was a professor who barely had time to care for the garden so Anna could only do it herself..

“Great job Anna.” She patted herself on the back and walked towards their apartment while taking off her gloves which was covered in mud…

“You should clean up first.” Mrs Laura suggested after seeing the dirt on her daughter’s face…

“Yeah, yeah.” She rolled her eyes and went upstairs to her room for a quick shower..

She was starving already that she couldn’t wait to taste the delicious dishes on the dining table..

Once she was done freshing up and rushed back downstairs and found them waiting for her at the dining room..

“Hurry up! I’m starving already!” Anny claimed and Annabelle chuckled..

Anna had just sat down when her family decided to attack her again..

“Ain’t you gonna invite your boyfriend over?” Mrs Laura and Anny won’t forget to tease her about her date at any given opportunity.

“Argh! Mom! He’s not my boyfriend!” She glared at her sister who was giggling..

“Why are you glaring at me? I didn’t do anything.” Anny shrugged her shoulders..

“Yeah yeah he’s not your boyfriend yet you agreed to marry him.” Her mom winked at her and Anna didn’t know whether to laugh or cry..

“You all are sick.” She mumbled under her breath and began stuffing food into her mouth..

“What’s his name? Tell me! Tell me! Pretty please!” Anny was like a buzzing fly and she wondered what she did in her past life to be given such an annoying sister..

“Lucas.” She muttered dryly.. his name sounded terrible in her lips..

“Wow! Even name sounds cool. Pew!!” Her mom made a sound and she burst into laughter..

Tsk! Sounded cool? More like sounded stupid..

“Are you guys gonna k-i-s-s again?” Anny was being dramatic again..

She’s gonna slap some sense into that man when he tries to look down on her again..

“Nev-” the buzzing sound of her phone interrupted her..

“I’m 90% sure he’s the one calling.” Mrs Laura smirked and Anna rolled her eyes…

She picked up the unknown call and placed it against her ear..

“Hello?” She spoke while staring at her mom..

“Get ready, we’re gonna somewhere.” A deep familiar spoke rather arrogantly..

“What?”
