CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR.

 

Before Gabrielle could comprend what was going on Xavier hugged her really tight shielding her with his body.

Gabrielle heard two gunshots and she looked over his shoulder she saw that man had been shot on the head and he was also holding a gun and her mom also holding a gun.

Turns out her mom had shot that man to death.

“Xavier?” She called out his name when he wasn’t moving.

Secretary George had already arrived with his men so he actually saw what happened.

She tried to make him look at her only to noticed that he’d passed out and there was something on her palm.

“Oh my God Xavier! ” She screamed out in horror as secretary George rushed towards them and pulled Xavier away from her.

Turns out that man wanted to fire the gun at her but Xavier ended taking the Bullet for her.

“Baby please look at me please!” She held onto him tightly as Secretary George tried to stop the bleeding.

“He’s not breathing! Get him to the car now!” Secretary George was just as scared as Gabrielle as she held onto to him.

“You dare not leave me Xavier!” She refused to let go, Mrs Monica had to pull her into a hug and Secretary George and the men were able to take him away.

The hospital they say brings back memories and Gabrielle couldn’t sit down..

She was Infront of the operating room and she couldn’t help but pray.

Xavier was her life and everything.. she won’t be able to live should anything happen to him.

 

“He’s gonna be alright right? Nothing is gonna happen to him right?” She mumbled to her self as she went back and forth the operating room.

Her clothes were covered with his blood but she didn’t care about anything but the safety of her husband.

 

“Please Gabrielle you need to rest for the sake of your baby… Xavier won’t want you this worried.” Mrs Monica tried to make her seat for a second but Gabrielle was at the verge of losing her mind and soul.

‘please Xavier I need you to come back to me.. I won’t be able to live without you.’

 

“No mom he’s gonna be alright mom… Xavier is gonna take me shopping, he promised to take me shopping so he’s gonna wake up.” It was self assurance and Mrs Monica couldn’t help but Shed tears for her poor child.

“Yes he’s gonna be fine , you need to relax so you don’t have complications with the baby.”

The red light went out and the doctor in charge of the operation walked out and Gabrielle ran towards him.

“How is he Doctor? He’s okay right?” Gabrielle could go crazy any second.

Dr Frank heaved a sigh and took off his gloves.

“We managed to take out the bullet fortunately none of organs were affected and he would to be put in the ICU for further observation.. he will be transferred to a patient’s ward once he’s outta the critical stage.” He explained and Gabrielle staggered.

Mr Monica was Able to catch her on time and pulled her into her embrace.

Once she was her mom’s embrace she broke down in tears.

“He’s in danger because of me mom.” Her shoulders shook as she cried her eyes out.

 

“Don’t say that dear… Xavier needs your prayers right now dear so you have to be strong for your baby and husband.” Mrs Monica was also shaken right after shooting someone for the first time.

She doesn’t feel guilty for killing that man. She was happy to have been the one to end his miserable life.

“I can’t mom… I can’t live without him mom…” Gabrielle was like a child in the arms of her mother.

Secretary George was silently watching the young miss and couldn’t help but feel heart broken.

He was silently praying for the boss to wake up soon else his wife might loose her will to live.

“Lord Xavier is a strong man he won’t die so easily not when he has finally found happiness.” Secretary George was just like his boss he doesn’t know how to comfort someone but he hoped his words were enough to make her calm down.
