Chapter 4️⃣

 

 

 

Aphrodite pov

 

After school,I went home to change clothes into something more official and left for work. On arriving,I saw the manager talking to a staff at the counter so i decided to wait till he’s done.

 

“Good morning sir”I greeted immediately he dismissed the lady

 

“Yes… how are you?”he asked

 

“Fine thanks”I answered

 

“Follow me, i’ll take you to the CEO’s office” he said and i followed him. We got to the first floor and the elevator came open revealing an empty office … that is, no one occupied it. There was a desk at the far end of the office and just beside the desk was a door. The manager led me to the door

 

“We’re about to enter the CEO’s office so i want you to be in your best behavior, he’s a man who doesn’t tolerate any form of misbehavior nor mistakes ok”he said and i nodded. He placed a light knock on the door and a masculine voice ordered us to come in.

 

We entered the office and met the CEO sitting with his back facing us. Seems like he’s looking outside the office through the glass walls

 

“Blakely what are you doing here?”he asked without turning

 

“I came to introduce the new secretary to you”the manager who i just got to know his name as Blakely said

 

“Aphrodite…”the CEO cold in my eyes widened… ‘how’d he get to know my name?’

 

‘oh maybe sir Blakely told him about me ‘

 

“Yes sir…”I answered

 

“Are you a goddess?” he asked and i smiled without even realizing. Almost immediately, he turned his swivel chair and his eyes came to meet mine. S*** it’s him! The guy i bumped into at the club,is he the famous Blade Lenkings everyone’s been talking about? I found myself gulping down nothing

 

“When you’re done checking me out you can answer my question” he said and faced his laptop. Sir Blakely nudged me and i came back to reality

 

“He’s talking to you “sir Blakely whispered

 

“Sir…”I said and he looked up

 

“Are you done checking me out now?”he asked and I bowed my head

 

“I thought only the ancient greek goddess of love and beauty bears the name Aphrodite “he said and I shook my head it’s just a name given to me by my parents

 

“No sir it’s just a regular name ”

 

“No… it’s a very special name “he said and i shuddered

 

“Blakely tell her what to do”

 

Sir Blakely nodded and motioned me to follow him. We walked out of the office and that was when i released a breath I didn’t realize I’ve been holding for long…Gosh! He’s really cute

 

“So here’s your office and these are what you’ll be working on today “sir Blakely said pointing at the files on the table

 

“Ok sir “I said and he nodded before leaving

 

I walked to the swivel chair,sat on it and was all prepared to work on the files tho they’re much but i’ll be able to finish up with them before i close for the day.

I was done editing and proofreading the files and now am left with just one file to go

 

“Hello”a masculine voice said and i looked up only to see another cutie in front of me

 

“Hello”I answered with a slight smile

 

 

“Hmmm…is blade in?”he asked

 

“Yes”I answered

 

“Ok”he said and was about going to the CEO’s office but i rushed to stop him

 

“Why?”he asked

 

“Do you have an appointment with him? “I asked and he shook his head

 

“Alright wait out here… So that I’ll call to notify him of your presence “I said I’d the only thing he could do was laugh

 

“Why are you laughing ?what’s funny?”I asked but his laugh got louder that before… Gosh! I just rolled my eyes at him and walked back to my seat. I called the CEO and notified him of the guy who requests to see him,he ordered me to let him in

 

“You can go in”I said and

 

“Gosh this guy’s weird” I said immediately he left.

 

 

Blade pov

 

The secretary called to inform me about the guy who wants to see me. At first i thought it was Denzel cause he’s a pain in the a$$ but on second thoughts, Denzel doesn’t stop by any desk to tell anyone that he wants to see me…so maybe it’s not him.

 

The door to my office opened in a few seconds and I looked towards it… yes it’s him, the motherf***er! He walked up to a sofa at the far end of the office and settled down.

 

“You this motherf***er where are your stupid manners “I asked and he giggled

 

“You as***ole i left them at home and besides weren’t you the one who asked your secretary to let me in? So why should i knock when you’re fully aware that someone’s coming in?” He asked making me roll my eyes at him… such a d**k!

 

“Would you like to take coffee?”he nodded and I called my secretary to get I and my proud visitor 2 cups of coffee. In not less than 3 minutes, she came with the cups of coffee in a tray.

 

 

“Thanks”I said as she dropped them on my table, she later left with some files i kept on the table… I’m suppose to work on them but I can’t do maybe she can. I shut down my system, carried the cups of coffee and walked over to where the motherf***er was seated

 

“That your secretary…”he said as i offered the coffee

 

“Yes what about her?”I asked

 

“She’s extremely hot” he said and i choked on my coffee…WTF!

 

 

“Hmmm….so you were busy checking her out”I said and he nodded

 

” I’ve been doing that from outside and she’s pretty too” he said

 

“You’re a pervert,see what your f***ed up head’s thinking” he laughed at my words

 

 

“You and I know what you just said is a lie, you’re more pervert than i am”he said

 

 

“It’s a lie, you’re the pervert one here”

 

 

 

“Blade you were mentally undressing her a while ago”he gave a knowing smile

 

“Are you crazy? She’s my employee for crying out loud”I said

 

“I should be the one telling you that blade, you were eye raping her when she was going out and even when she was in here, you never stopped running your eyes down her legs…if care’s not taken, you might even grab her one day “. I rolled my eyes at him.

 

 

Ok…ok…ok fine he caught me,I was truly staring but it doesn’t mean anything right?

 

 

” Am not like you, you son of a b****”I yelled grabbing the collar of his shirt

 

 

“Come on,are you gonna choke me for saying the truth?”he asked and exhaled loudly before i left him alone

 

 

 

“Since you don’t want to maybe you can let me you know ” he said and I scoffed

 

 

“Take your f***ing eyes off her, she’s my employee ” I warned

 

 

“Whatever… you’re such a p****”he said.
