Chapter 58

 

“I like him I haven’t figured my feelings out yet” Brittany replied. “Good, you guys will make a good couple,” Rowen said.

 

“How did you know we will make a good couple?” Brittany asked.

“Austin is a cool and lovable guy, he is my friend, I’ve been friends with him since childhood so I know him too well” Rowen replied.

 

 

 

“Did you like me as your little sister?” Brittany suddenly asks.

 

 

 

“Sure why won’t I like you, I haven’t even thanked you for saving mg life, I’m sorry I’m not an ingrate thank you very much for saving my life,” Rowen said.

 

 

 

“You don’t need to thank me, I did what I think is the best” Brittany replied. “Good you’re highly welcome to the Hunt family, so your first name is gonna change, what’s your first name?” Rowen ask. “Chad!” Brittany replied. “So your first name will change from Chad to Hunt, that’s really good, you need to be respecting me like your big bro as from today,” Rowen said.

 

 

 

 

“Your wish” Brittany replied. “You mean you won’t respect me?” Rowen asks with a frown.

 

 

 

 

“Yes I won’t” Brittany replied and stick out her tongue. Rowen picked one of his pillows and throw it at Brittany.

 

 

 

“Get out of my room if you can’t respect me,” Rowen said, and Brittany lye down flatly on his bed.

 

 

 

 

“Hey this is my room, not yours,” Rowen said. “I’m not blind I can see it’s your room, it’s not bad to sleep in my kid brother’s room” Brittany replied.

 

 

 

 

“What did you just say?” Rowen ask.

 

 

 

“You heard me loud and clear” Brittany replied.

 

 

 

“Somebody should come and drag this mannerless kid out of my room” Rowen shouted.

 

 

 

“No one can help you out, only little Sophia and she’s sleeping” Brittany replied and placed her leg on his lap. “God I don’t need a kid sister again” Rowen shouted.

 

 

 

“You will need it by force” Brittany replied. “I need to attend to something please,” Rowen said. “Bribe me,” Brittany said. “You wanna collect bribe?” Rowen asks and Brittany nods her head. “I don’t support bribery so do your worst,” Rowen said. “I’m sleeping in your room then,” Brittany said. “I’m also going to sleep in your room” Rowen replied. “Mum said you don’t like pink paint, my room is painted pink” Brittany replied. “Gosh!” Rowen said. “You should bribe me,” Brittany said. “I can’t” Rowen replied. “You don’t even ask me what I need,” Brittany said.

 

 

 

 

“I don’t need to ask you because I don’t support bribes” Rowen replied and Brittany covered herself with his duvet. “Emma isn’t here, so you’ll take her place,” Brittany said. “I hàtè you,” Rowen said. “the feeling is mutual my dear brother, I also hàtè you” Brittany replied.

 

 

 

 

“Mrs. Hunt come and drag your daughter out of my room” Rowen shouted and rushed out. “Why are you shouting my name?” Mrs. Hunt asked with a frown. “Come and drag your daughter out of my room she’s disturbing my peace,” Rowen said and Mrs. Hunt hissed out loud. “I thought is something serious, you should be happy you’ve s sister that’s frustrating you,” Mrs. Hunt said and walked to her room. “I think I’ll kîll Brittany,” Rowen said and went to Sophia’s room. He opened the door and carefully walked inside the room. He peck her on her cheeks and covered her well with a duvet. “Sleep tight baby, daddy loves you,” Rowen said and walked out.

 

 

 

The next day

 

The ringing of Rowen’s phone woke Brittany up and she stood up before stretching her back. “Wîtch you’re awake?” Rowen asks and Brittany nods her head. “Good morning hope you sleep well?” Brittany asked. “Why will I sleep well when you occupied my bed” Rowen replied. “I did that? I’m very sorry” Brittany replied pretending to be sorry. “You think I don’t know that you aren’t truly sorry?” Rowen asks and clicks on the answer button. “How are you?” Rowen ask. “I’m not fine” Austin replied. “You aren’t find what happened to you?” Rowen ask. “I think is malaria” Austin replied and Rowen hissed out loud. “Malaria I think it’s something serious” Rowen replied. “Where are you now?” Rowen ask. “I’m in my office” Austin replied. “Too early” Rowen replied. “I was feeling lonely in the house” Austin replied. “Oh I see, I’ll call you later make sure you take drugs,” Rowen said and end the call. “What happened to him?” Brittany asked. “He said he has malaria” Rowen replied. “Oh my goodness! Hope he has taken drugs?” Brittany asked. “I don’t know you can try calling him” Rowen replied and stood up from the chair. “I must not meet you in my room when I come out from the bathroom,” Rowen said. “You should be happy I slept in your room,” Brittany said and stood up from the bed. “I’m leaving your room,” Brittany said. “Please do I need to sleep” Rowen replied. “Hey baby, how was your night?” Mrs. Hunt asked. “My night was fine mum” Brittany replied yarning widely. “Did you sleep in Rowen’s room yesternight?” Mrs. Hunt asked. “Yes I do, to frustrate him” Brittany replied and Mrs. Hunt burst into laughter. “Alright go freshen up I’m expecting a visitor, my old-time friend is coming to visit me,” Mrs. Hunt said. “Oh that’s nice” Brittany replied. “Yeah, it’s I can’t wait to see her,” Mrs. Hunt said happily. “Mum did you have Austin’s office address?” Brittany asked. “Austin office address?” Mrs. Hunt asked with a smirk and Brittany nod her head. “What did you wanna use it for?” Mrs. Hunt asked. “He told Rowen this morning that he’s not feeling good” Brittany replied. “He should be in the house, not office” Mrs. Hunt replied. “No, he’s in the office” Brittany replied. “Okay my driver will take you to his office,” Mrs. Hunt said. “Thanks very much, mum” Brittany replied. “Is there something you aren’t telling me?” Mrs. Hunt asked. “There’s nothing” Brittany replied and shake her head negatively. “Where’s Sophia?” Brittany asked. “She’s in her room playing with her toys” Mrs. Hunt replied. “Alright let me go and check on her” Brittany said and walked to Sophia’s room. “Hey baby,” Brittany said with a smile. “Good morning Aunt” Sophia greet and hold her Teddy bear tightly to herself. “How are you love?” Brittany asked playing with Sophia’s hair. “it’s fine Aunt” Sophi replied. “Hope you aren’t bored?” Brittany asked. “I want to go see my mum,” Sophia said with a pout. “Really?” Brittany asked. “Yes Aunt, can you take me there?” Sophia asked with a frown. “Sure I can, but your mum is coming here tomorrow, so wait for her” Brittany said with a smile. “Okay, I’ll wait till she comes,” Sophia said. “I’m going out what did you want me to get for you on my way back?” Brittany asked. “Chocolate” Sophi replied. “Chocolate again, did you ever get tired of eating chocolate?” Brittany asked. “I can’t get tired of chocolate, chocolate is me and I’m chocolate” Sophi replied. “Alright I’ll get you chocolate,” Brittany said and stood up from the bed.

 

 

 

“Emma Maxwell!” Mrs. Maxwell shouted. “Sandra Maxwell, what’s it?” Emma yelled. “Be fast we need to get there on time” Mrs. Maxwell said. “You can just go there alone,” Emma said. “Go there alone? You promised to go with me remember” Mrs. Maxwell said. “But you didn’t tell me you’re gonna frustrate my life early this morning, you woke me up from my beautiful sleep early as if that’s not enough, you’re giving me a headache again,” Emma said. “Fine I’m sorry but you have to be fast,” Mrs. Maxwell said. “Let me take my time” Emma replied packing her hair in a punny tail. She picked up her bag and walked out of her room. “Oh my goodness my baby is looking good,” Mrs. Maxwell said. “Just let’s go!” Emma said. “You’re so mean” Mrs. Maxwell said. “And you’re meaner” Emma replied. “I’ll make sure I report you to Rowen,” Mrs. Maxwell said. “Are you still going or not?” Emma asked and the driver open the car door immediately.

 

Hunt mansion

 

Emma came down from the car, she put on her sunglass before looking around. “This house is very beautiful, Hunt mansion?” She asked immediately she saw the name. “Yes Hunt mansion, they’re even the owner of this estate” Mrs. Maxwell replied and Emma muttered an oh. “Welcome darling,” Mrs. Hunt said and came out of the house. “Thanks, love, you’re looking more beautiful,” Mrs. Maxwell said with a smile. “You aren’t looking bad Mr. Maxwell is really taking good care of you,” Mrs. Hunt said. “Stop flattering me” Mrs. Maxwell replied. “Good afternoon Mrs. Hunt” Emma greet. “Wow, how are you doing my darling?” Mrs. Hunt replied. “I’m doing good ma” Emma replied. “You look familiar, but I can’t picture where I saw you from,” Mrs. Hunt said. “She’s my daughter and we look alike so she will surely look familiar” Mrs. Maxwell replied. “You’re right, let’s go inside” Mrs. Hunt replied. Rowen’s picture welcomes Emma and Emma moved closer to the picture. She lifted her hand to his face in the picture and smile happily to herself. “Is that not your boyfriend?” Mrs. Maxwell asked. “Yes, he’s” Emma replied. “Wait you mean my Rowen is your boyfriend?” Mrs. Hunt asked and Emma nod her head. “Oh my goodness!” Mrs. Hunt said and hug Mrs. Maxwell happily. “Rowen needs to hear this” Mrs. Hunt said and stood up immediately. “Mum what’s going on here, did you purposely bring me here?” Emma asked. “No I don’t purposely bring you here, I don’t even know Rowen is Amelia’s son” Mrs. Maxwell replied. “Hey sleeping head stands up I have a surprise for you,” Mrs. Maxwell said and drag the duvet from Rowen’s body. “Mum, why are you disrupting my sweet sleep?” Rowen ask. “I have a surprise for you,” Mrs. Hunt said. “Which fûcking surprise did you have for me? Your daughter didn’t allow me to sleep yesternight, and you too wanna disturb my sleep, did you guys plan to make my life a hèll?” Rowen ask. “Common stand up I’m very sure you will love it,” Mrs. Hunt said. “I promise to leave this house for you guys if I find out you disrupt my sleep for no good reason,” Rowen said. “I agree” Mrs. Hunt replied and Rowen stood up from the bed. He put on his slippers and walked out. “Wait for me” Mrs. Hunt shouted and run after him. “Babe” Emma called and rushed to hug him immediately she saw him. “Oh my goodness! This is a good surprise” Rowen said happily. “I told you,” Mrs. Hunt said. “You didn’t tell me you’re coming,” Rowen said. “I didn’t know I was coming to your house either” Emma replied. “Mum what are you keeping from me?” Emma asked immediately she disengage from the hug. “I am not keeping anything, actually I don’t know that Amelia is Rowen’s mother, but Rowen is the person I want you to get married to before you ran away,” Mrs. Maxwell said. “Oh my goodness,” Emma said with a smile. “Yeah, Emma was the one I told you about before you also ran away,” Mrs. Hunt said. “Wow, we have finally done you guys’ wish,” Rowen said. “No you guys didn’t do our wish you did your wish instead” Mrs. Hunt replied.

 

 

 

“Assuming you guys have to stay then, you both would have getting married by now,” Mrs. Maxwell said.

 

 

 

“Yes but you can’t choose for us, you should allow your children to choose whoever they want their selves, you guys are lucky that we both end up together,” Emma said.

 

 

 

“We won, at last, come and give mother inlaw a hug,” Mrs. Hunt said and left her arm wide open and Emma rushed to hug her. A message got inside Mrs. Hunt and Maxwell’s phone at the same time. Mrs. Hunt check the message and shouted. “What’s this?” She said and show the video to Emma and Rowen and Mrs. Maxwell also check hers. “Goodness!” Emma shouted and ran out.
