 Chapter 07

In a spacious room, six people were seated round the table.

“A demon? Are you sure about that?!!” One of the members of the L.O.M said. His name is Cyphlus.

“Yes! I saw him, he fought me and almost killed me if not for the guards.” Kaitlyn said. Her left arm was wrapped with a bandage.

“But I thought that the school was built and it is protected by a powerful spell that prevents vampires and demons from invading it.” Xena spoke, another member of L.O.M

“Yes, that means for a demon to succeed in crossing over, that means the demon must be of a high rank” Zyres spoke.

“What if it’s the demon king?” Xena asked

“No, I don’t think so. The demon king can’t leave his crown and come here, that’ll pose a threat to his kingdom” Kaitlyn said.

“The main problem is who is the demon which invaded the school. Is a girl or a boy, a student or a teacher?” Orion spoke.

“Yeah, I need you to make sure they keep an eye close on every student in Diamond High. Whoever the person may is after my life” Kaitlyn said.

“Yes your highness.” Davian said.

“But who could that person be? Are we sure the person is a student of the school?” Xena wondered…

N£XT MØRNING

Kadence house, 07:23am**

Emma walked knocked on the door and waited for someone to open up. The door opened revealing the arrogant face of Zara.

“What do you want?” She snorted.

“Good morning Zara, I’m here to take Kadence. We’re going to write our test” Emma smiled.

Zara rolled her eyes and let her in. Emma walked in and sat down in the living room.

Kadence finished getting dressed and rushed downstairs. She wore a long sleeve gown in order to cover the bruises the man gave her around her wrist.

Yesterday, Kadence woke up on the ground to see she was all alone. She was terrified thinking that the man had his with her but luckily he didn’t. She would know if he did?

Her mind drifted to the strong wind that blew her away from the man. What happened next?

Kadence shook her head, shaking off the various thoughts that came in her mind.

“Today I’m writing my test and I’m supposed to pass with flying colors.” Kadence thought.

“Hey Emma” She smiled.

“Hi, are you ready let’s go. The school is kinda far from here” Emma said.

Zara walked out of her room, dressed sexily with her hair curled up.

“Are you girls ready to leave.” Ximena said while coming downstairs.

“Yes mom” Kadence smiled.

Ximena looked at Zara and sighed. She really doesn’t know what to do with this her daughter.

“Good luck girls” She smiled.

“Thanks a lot” They said and walked out of the house.

Ximena sighed while watching them go…

The three girls boarded a cab which drove them to Diamond High. Zara scoffed and looked out of the car while Emma and Kadence chatted happily.

“Ladies, we’re here” The driver said.

“Already?” Emma said they didn’t even see that time pass.

Kadence paid the driver and they got down the car. A gasp left her mouth as she looked at the magnificent building in front of her. She’s sure is only the rich kids who school here.

“Omg, this is so fabulous…” Kadence gushed…

“Let’s go K-d” Emma dragged Kadence in, surprisingly, she wasn’t surprised to see the school..

Zara went her own way…

“So where do we go and register?” Kadence asked.

Emma pulled Kadence to the area.

“Wow, how do you know all the places here?” Kadence asked.

“I just guessed” Emma said and looked away feeling uncomfortable.

They registered and then went to the class they’ll write their test. The exams will soon start in 5 minutes.

“I’m writing in another hall, we’ll only see each other at the end. Bye!” Emma said and went away.

Kadence shrugged and went in then sat down. A woman who was wearing prescribed lenses with a uniformed dressed distributed their papers.

“The exams start right now. Make sure you aren’t having any pre-prepared materials in you for if caught will mean you’ll go Back home” The woman said and began walking round, surveying them.

Kadence looked at the papers and began answering those that she could answer. Zara did the same too…

“I heard that the students are writing an exam right now. Looks like the school is giving out scholarships.” Gideon spoke.

“I just hope the people who’ll pass are nice people.” Sophia replied.

All the student were outside at the garden, planting flowers as their voluntary work.

“Love this flower smell” Lisa smiled and sniffed in a rose.

“You look pretty with a smile on your face” Romeo winked.

“Argh” She groaned and stood up walking to another place to plant.

“Here” Connor smiled, fixing a flower in Sophia’s hair.

“Oh, thanks” She smiled.

“Welcome” He touched her nose with his muddy hands, tainting her nose.

“Hey…” Sophia wiped it off.

“Just ask her out already instead of oppressing us” Gideon said.

“At least he has a chance with Sophia not like you with Jody” Romeo said and they laughed.

“F*vk off!” Gideon shot him with a heap of mud but he dodged and stuck his tongue out.

Lisa planted her flowers in peace when her hands touched with someone. She looked up to see it was Kaitlyn.

“You?” Kaitlyn frowned.

“Yeah, me. Nice to meet you again” Lisa smirked and faced her flowers.

That was followed by a moment of silence…

“Tell me, that guy over there is he related to you?” Kaitlyn spoke.

“Which one?” Lisa asked looking at the boys.

“The one who’s laughing right now” She said.

“Oh Eric? Yeah, He’s my cousin. Why ask?” Lisa furrowed her brows.

“Nothing”

“Don’t tell me you like him? He’s single by the way” Lisa smirked.

“Nonsense” Kaitlyn snorted.

“I like you, what’s your name” Kaitlyn asked.

“Lisa”

“Where’s Emma?” Kadence asked.

Her test was over and it was Emma she was waiting for.

“Maybe they’re still writing the test” She thought and began strolling along the school admiring the beautiful trees and flowers.

“I heard this school is the most beautiful school in the area. Guess the rumors were true” Kadence smiled.

*Who’s that girl? Seem like she’s here for the scholarship exam.

*She’s dangerously pretty and look at her body…Gosh, I’m hard already.

*Think she’s prettier than Ava and with no makeup. Wonder how she’ll look with one.

*Yeah, she must be a femme fatale if she puts on makeup.

Student commented as Kadence admired the tall trees and flowers. She smiled as she saw the student walking out and in of the school.

A sound drew her attention to look up and she smiled when she saw a beautiful hummingbird flying away.

“This area is just like paradise.” She thought.

She looked front and before she could pause, it was too late. She Already bumped into someone.

Before she could fall, the person held her by the waist and pulled her up. She gasped as their face were just inches apart.

“It’s you again…” Eric gasped. He never imagine he will see her again.

“Hi…Thanks for saving me” Kadence smiled.

He released her and she took some steps away from her. Kadence tugged her hair behind her ear and smiled.

“You’re welcome. Please look were you go next time” Eric smiled.

“Okay” She replied.

“What are you doing here?” Eric asked.

“I’m here for the exam” Kadence said.

“Really? That means you’ll be a student of our school” Eric smiled.

“If only I pass” Kadence said.

“I’m sure you will. So what’s your name?” Eric asked.

“Kadence Martins and you?” She stretched her hand.

“Eric Keith” Eric said.

“That’s-”

“K-d… Was looking for you everywhere” Emma said walking to them.

She looked at Eric and could already perceive he was no ordinary being. He was a supernatural.

“Was waiting for you” Kadence replied.

“Eric, this is my best friend Emma and Emma this is Eric” Kadence presented them to each other.

“Wow, cool. Nice meeting you” Eric smiled.

“Thanks, same goes with me” Emma replied.

“I’m sorry but we have to leave.” Kadence said.

“Alright, see you next time” Eric said.

They waved bye at him then walked away. Eric smiled..

“A supernatural befriending a human. That must be nice” He thought watching them go.
