MARRIED TO THE OVERLORD.

 

CHAPTER FIFTEEN.

 

 

The board room was awfully quiet as all board members held their breaths in fear of their demon boss who kept staring at the presentation with an expressionless face.

 

They knew what he was like when angered so they made the project presentation was beyond perfect.

Secretary George was also not left out as the temperature dropped every passing seconds.

He couldn’t help but rub the goosebumps off his hands as everyone waiting for the boss to say something and kept his eyes on the presentation but secretly stealing glances at his phone.

 

Lord Williams on the other hand kept staring at his phone hoping his wife was gonna give a call or probably a text message because he left the mansion right when she was still asleep.

‘does she not miss me already?’ he mumbled and raise his head to stare at his subordinate only to remember he’d spaced out during the presentation.

Clears throat” Impressive, that would be all for now.” He spoke coldly and stood up unhurriedly and walked outta the board with his subordinates trailing behind him like lost puppies.

Everyone in sky tower bowed slightly in respect for the demon CEO as he walked majestically to his office.

Once he was inside his personal office, the board of directors all heaved a sigh of relief.

“For moment there I thought he was gonna reject everything.” Mrs Maureen head of operations spoke to the rest of the team who also nodded their heads in agreement.

“He’s always cold which makes me wonder if he was born to being cold.” Director of the finance department spoke next stroking his chin thoughtfully.

 

George was just around the corner decided to scare them off.

“I do hope you can repeat that Infront of the big boss though.” He spoke with the seriousness and the other party froze in fear.

“Oops! I’m outta here, forget I ever said anything.”Mrs Maureen scrawled away and so did the rest to their various office.

George straighten up his blazer and rushed back to his boss office.

 

“What do you want?” Lord Williams groaned softly without having to raising his head.

“Ehn actually I have something you might wanna see.” Secretary George brought out a brown envelope from him pocket and handed it over to Lord Williams who unhurriedly took it.

 

He relaxed his back on the executive chair and opened the envelope and took out the Paper in it.

“What is this?” He asked with raised eyebrow but George only nudge him to read the contents of the letter.

Williams rasied brow turned into a frown and soon coldness making George shocked of how he could skillfully switch emotions before he could even be noticed.

He could not only hide his emotions in plain sight but he could also switch swiftly.

“How did you get this George?” He asked in between gritted teeth.

“Well I wasn’t sure if our decovery was accurate or that was what they wanted us to believe so I had different doctors run more tests and I found such interesting piece of information.”

George stood Infront of his boss with his hands folded at the back while he explained his findings.

“So it says here , Gabrielle and Annabelle shares only 30% DNA, Gabrielle and her mom shares 65% DNA while Gabrielle and Ray shared none? Interesting.” Lord Williams rubbed his temple gently analyzing everything before him while staring at George intensely.

 

“Yes boss, we were right all along lady boss is the daughter of that man.” George further dropped the forbidden on his boss who was silently burning with anger.

Everything about her was screaming his worst enemy but he sometimes wanted it to be false.

“What about her secret inheritance?” Williams decided to shrug it off.

He was certainly gonna have his revenge and there’s no turning back now.

“Ah yes! I almost forgot about that. It is locked in a vault inside federal reserve and can only be retrieve when’s 22 and Also legally married, that’s the conditions that was set up by her late grandparents.” George furthermore explained the circumstances around his wife.

 

“Great then. My wife would be 22 in few months and then I can finally take everything from her. Isn’t that brilliant George?” The demon boss smiled evilly and George almost cringe at the sound of his evil laughter.

“Anything else boss?”
