Chapter 18

“Welcome Bestie!!!!” Mia screamed, as she goes to hug Ariel, giving her a less breathing space. Ariel, with the aid of the address sent to her and the help of the guard assigned to her, was able to locate Mia’s house with no stress involved. The guard, who is also her driver, knew his way around the town, so locating Mia’s house is more like a eating a whole cupcake.

Getting off the car, Ariel gape at the building before going in; no doubt, Mia is also from a wealthy home.

“Come on girl, give the poor girl a breathing space, she is already suffocating” A lady with red hair muttered from the living room.

“Oh!! Come on, I’m just happy that she came. Come in Ariel, meet Valeria, my cousin” She said, ushering Ariel in, as she pointed to the red-haired lady, who smiled at her

“And this is Betty, Valeria’s friend” Mia muttered
“I love your hair, it’s pretty” Betty acknowledge

“Thanks” Ariel beam, giving her best smile as the girls gawk at her stunning beauty.

“So girls, She’s here now, I think it’s time to move” Mia stated, grinning with excitement.
Shocked, Ariel cast a perplex glance at her

“Where are we going to, I was thinking we will be having a…erm…” Mia cuts in

“Yea…but change of plans, Valeria wants us to go to a club party. We find out that one of her old friend is having a club birthday party down the road. So we can celebrate our get-together over there. You know, it’s gonna be fun” Mia beams

“What?? Club??” Ariel yelled in amusement

“Yes….and it’s gonna be fun” Betty exclaimed, clapping her hands, as the girls frown at her childish act of excitement

“Whatever…come on Ariel, haven’t you been to a club before” Valeria asked
“Uhmmm….well….not really” Ariel shuttered

“You are missing a lot girl, but why if I may ask” Ariel remained silent, pouting softly
“Awnnn,…I think I know what your case may be, but trust me, you will want to go to one again after today’s experience. But first, we need to fix your dress” She smiled

“My dress…? Is anything wrong with it” Ariel asked, fondling with her dress tip
“No…not really, in fact you look stunning, but just some few touches” She grinned
“Owkay…..” Ariel nodded, as Mia led her to her room

“Are you sure about this, I’m scared of going to a club..you know, some gangs might raid there” Ariel whispered to Mia, as they climbed the stairs, hand in hand.

“Trust me, this club house is owned by an influential person, and it is well guarded. Some celebrities do go there to chill out, since it’s a club for the rich. So you can’t expect a low class there, except they tag along with their friends” she explained

“Oh…my…gosh…, is this my face” Ariel yelp, staring at the wonders done on her face by Valeria. They manage to fix a new fancy dress for her and gave her a little touch on her face, giving her a hot look.

“Sure girl…that’s your face” Valeria winked, as she blush
“Oh girl, you look like an angel…are you from heaven” Betty asked softly, Valeria glared at her

“Huff….nope, she is from hell. Stop being childish for once Betty, come on…” she scoffs, Mia chuckled
“Guys will really trip for you, your hot look is just so mesmerizing” Mia adorned

“Thanks girls, I’m grateful…..” Ariel grinned, smiling sheepishly
“Fine…fine…enough of the flattering girls, let’s get going…” Valeria muttered, handling a pair of heels to Ariel, as she struggled to put it on

“Erm….can’t you put it on….”
“Yea….i’m not used to heels” Ariel pouted

“Oh….we will just give you a lower on, try this out” Mia handed her a less high heels, as she tried walking with it

“I think we are good to go now…..”
“What about my driver….he was assigned to take me around” Ariel asked
“We will take care of him….” Valeria muttered

“Miss…miss…are you ready to leave..” The guard assigned to Ariel, ran to meet up with her as she was about, entering Mia’s car. Ariel stopped and gave him audience

“Ermm..there is a little changes, we will be heading to the club house down the road” she stated
“Then I will have to take you there” He muttered in a husky voice

“Look big guy, she’s gonna be fine” Betty stated. He ignored her and faced Ariel
“Boss gave me strict orders not to leave your side”

“Boss….which boss….hunhhmmm….stop covering my mouth” Betty mumbled, pushing Valeria’s hand from her mouth, which was preventing her from saying further. She earn a glare from her afterward

“Erm…Victor, you can come with us, just trail our car as we move. With that you will be able to keep touch with me” Ariel chipped in. The guard nodded

“No problem miss…just don’t get out of my sight” He muttered, and left to the car
“Are you always monitored….”Mia asked, perplexed
Ariel shrugged

“No..he’s just doing his job” She mumbled
“But who is the boss…anyway….” Betty tried saying

“Will you shut up for once Betty, come on…the party is getting hot already and I wanna be there on time” Valeria complained.

The buzzing sound made by the giant speakers in the clubhouse filled their ears as they made their way in, but not without showing the security men their pass.

“Wow…this is life mehnn….i’m heading for the dance floor” Betty screamed at the top of her voice, heading to the dance floor filled with young ladies and guys, swinging her body to the beat of the music.

“Hunn, Betty is just one of a kind. Let’s find somewhere you girls can sit, I need to wish my friend a happy birthday first. Will join you girls later, just have fun” Valeria yelled, as the sound of the music prevented her from speaking softly. She ran off, before they could reply

“Hmm…now it’s just the two of us” Mia sighs

“I thought this was gonna be a cool get-together party with your cousin and her friend, just like you said. But no, it’s something different with the both of us left to enjoy the feasting eyes of some crazy guys staring at us from over there” Ariel bickered

“Huhn..What guys” Mia asked excitedly
“Over there…they have been gawking at us ever since we stepped our feet on the ground and I really feel uncomfortable with their stares

“Ohh…they are not actually gawking at us…I think they are starring at you. Come on, we need to go somewhere safer” Mia suggested, as they got on their feet, but stopped when a young guy approach them.

He was dressed in a baggy short, with red turtle neck shirt, and a face cap. A diamond earring was stuck to his ear loop, and a bingo gold chain on his neck. Holding a glass of champagne, he sips out of its content. He seem to be a bad guy from a bad gang, Ariel thought, and this bad aura around him made her wanna leave at all cost

“Hey babes, come on…wait” he beckoned, they stopped to glare at him
“Come on….you two look hot….” He muttered, licking his lips and at the same time, starring lustfully at Ariel, who is already feeling prickly

“What do you want mister, as you can see, I and my friend are just about leaving” Mia snapped, he smirk

“Well can I have a word with your friend; just a friendly chat” He stated, gazing at Ariel who was about speaking, but Mia beats her to it

“No….come on, do we look like bitches or whores to you. We only came here for a friend’s birthday party and not some one night stand, so please just back off” She yelled. He shrugged, delving his hand in his pocket, wearing a wicked smirk

“No problem. I think your friend here is being so overprotective, see ya later” He resorted to Ariel and tried touching her jaw, but Mia hits his hand off, as Ariel tried shifting backward.

“Back off…jerk” Mia roared. He chuckled loudly, gulping the remaining content in the glass as he went his way. Ariel’s eyes caught one of the guys he came along with as he whispered to their hearing. They look at the girl’s direction and muttered words that couldn’t be heard, perhaps due to the loud sound of music in the building.

“Who are they…..” Ariel thought as she watched them from a far. Mia was oblivious of this, she kept ranting curses on the jerk as she drags Ariel along with her

“That guy is a jerk, who does he think he is….like we are some whore? Huhff…damn him for treating you that way” She kept on talking, not until they got to a secured place where the music isn’t that loud.
Mia noticed Ariel’s silence and scoffed at her expression; Ariel noticed and gave a questioning look

“You have been quiet all through…come on babe, try not to be dull here…you should have damn him, than just staring” She snouted

“Hmm….it’s not that…it’s just that I think that guy is from a bad gang, you know, I felt a bad aura around him. And he was discussing with other guys, hope they are not planning something bad against us” Ariel panicked. Mia stared at her for a while, them busted out into rounds of laughter to Ariel’s surprise

“Ermmm, did I say something wrong….” She asked

“Like seriously, come on Babe, what planet did you come from….why did you just conclude that the guy is from a gang, just because he approached us…hey..it’s normal for a guy to approach you…you know” Mia smirked.

Ariel sighed. That was not what she was referring to, but Mia won’t just understand that strange feelings that came over her at that moment. She felt like something bad is gonna happen, and that guy would trigger it.

He looks like someone who is bad, and not just because he approached her; whereas lots of guys has approached her, asking for one thing or the other, but she didn’t give a damn to them…well only Aiden…and someone else from her past; Mia is really getting it all wrong.

“Humnhum” Mia cleared her throat as Ariel looked at her

“What?”

“You zoned out…don’t take what I said to heart. But it’s the truth; that’s what we pretty girls face in clubs, parties…you know…most guys will wanna hit their target. But we high class girls doesn’t settle for less, well I haven’t settle for any” She pouted. Now Ariel is beginning to wonder if this is her friend, Mia, speaking.

“So you don’t have a boyfriend” Ariel asked

“Nope….but I have a crush” She grinned

“And he is……..”
“He……is……….. you will find out later…” She snaps
“Awnn, come on, tell me. I thought we are friends” Ariel pouted

“Yea..and that’s why you will know later…so promise me you won’t feel intimidated by a guy again. Try to stand up for yourself and shun them out, if they try pestering you.”

“Got it…I won’t feel intimidated” Ariel cooed, Mia smiled

“Erm…..where is my driver?” she asked
“Oh….he might be somewhere hitting on a girl…huhn…that’s what guys do” Mia snickered

“Nope….Victor is decent…he can’t do that” Ariel argued
“Really…tell me something Ari..are you crushing on your driver….” Mia asked
“What????????!!!!! That’s outrageous” She yelp; Mia roared in laughter
“Was just asking though….he is cute and has this physique”

“Whatever, you can date him if you like him….where is your cousin anyway?”
“She is wherever she is…let’s have some fun, I think there is a game going on over there. Let’s go check it out” Mia said, pointing her index finger towards a direction”

“Fine….I hope it’s a good game” Ariel replied.

“Hello boss….” There was silence at the background of the other line, and then a husky voice spoke up
“Yes Bullet, any news”

“We found her…she is in a club….really pretty” Bullet smirked
“Good…….do the job…and make it clean” The voice from the other line muttered

“Trust me to do my job” Bullet muttered and dropped the call
He faced his companions

“Hey guys….it’s time to move”
