THE MORRIS MANSION*

It was early in the morning and still dark when Josh was tossing on his bed uneasily whimpering in his sleep.

” Mom, please…hold my hand!” Josh whimpered as beads of sweat was seen on his forehead.

The lights in his room was dim, not giving a clear view of him as he tossed tiredly.

His breathing could be heard loudly as if he was running a marathon. His eyes were still shut as he clutched tightly on the bedsheet, giving out a silent groan.

” Mom!!!” He yelled as he snapped his eyes open. He was breathing heavily and was sweating profusely.

He was having the trauma of his mom’s death again and it was frustrating.

What was more frustrating for him, was him seeing the image of the girl he raped four years ago all of a sudden.

Nobody knew about that, he was the only one who knew. Maybe she’s the curse of him still having this painful trauma.

” But, I paid her and I apolgised.” He muttered.

‘ Was she some kind of a slut or what, you didn’t even wait for her till she woke.’ his subconsciousness whispered to him.

” Then, what do you want me to do?!” He yelled at no one in particular and continued.

” I don’t even know her, I don’t even know where she stays and it’s frustrating…I feel so guilty… I’ve been feeling guilty since four years ago…Gosh am going crazy!” He yelled as he used the duvet to cover himself.

He tried sleeping but it couldn’t work, he came down from his bed and headed straight to the bathroom going to take a warm bath.

NICOLE’S RESIDENCE*

Nicole was seated on one of the couch in the sitting room as she kept giggling.

She has been giggling for almost an hour and it was frustrating for Jace who was trying to study.

” Arrrrrgh, big sis can you please stop giggling, am trying to concentrate on my study, you know I always read before going to school.” Jace groaned.

” Can I ask you a question Jace?” She asked ignoring what he said.

” Sure, sh00t.”

” When a guy corrects you, it means he likes you right?”

” Corrects you like…?” Jace asked back without sparing her a glance. He was soley focused on the maths he’s solving.

” When you wear something inappropriate and he corrects you, that means he likes you right?”

” Maybe…I think I will have to go get ready for school…you should also go get ready for work…you don’t wanna take a day off.” Jace said as he packed his books and went upstairs.

” Whatever.” She muttered and started giggling when her mind flew to her boss.

THE DENNIS MANSION*

Tasha was seated on one of the couch, as she flipped the pages of the magazine she was holding.

Tasha was actually making preparations for her wedding with Josh. She had to call the wedding planner to come over, so she’ll tell her what suits her taste.

” Ma’am, which gown suits your taste?” The wedding planner asked.

A light frown was seen on Tasha’s face as she tossed the magazine to the wedding planner.

” Non of the gown suits my taste, they are all outdated.” She said with a hiss.

The wedding planner rolled her eyes secretly and turned to Tasha who was busy with her phone.

” But ma’am, these dresses are the latest, we don’t have anymore designs.”

” And I said I don’t like them!” Tasha yelled making the wedding planner flinch lightly. She was getting furious already.

” Am sorry ma’am, but what should we do now?” The wedding planner said with a bow. She didn’t want to get Tasha angry because she might lose her job.

” You may leave, I will just talk to my day…he will get me something more classy.”

” Ok ma’am Tasha.” The wedding planner said. She packed the bags she brought along with her and left the house, leaving Tasha all alone.

THE LUCAS’S EMPIRE*

The meeting was over as Josh was heading out of the company with his secretary trailing behind him.

” Sir, but there’s someone here to see you.” Nicole said Camdan halted on his track. He turned back to Nicole and she bowed her head immediately.

He was getting angry right now as Nicole couldn’t stop pestering him.

He was in a hurry to leave, he wanted some fresh air and the honey salt’s kitchen was was what crossed his mind.

” Tell that someone to come tomorrow, didn’t I tell you to clear my schedules for the day? Why are you so stubborn?” He calmly said and Nicole was surprised.

Something seems off about her boss today, he could have yelled or threaten her about taking a day off but, here he is speaking calmly to her.

” Sir, it’s someone important and she wants to talk about business.”

” Didn’t I tell you to postpone business stuffs till next week?” He asked and she shook her head sideways.

” No, sir, you are just telling me now.” Nicole said and he groaned.

” Seriously Nicole, I have somewhere important to go to.” He said and his mind flew back to Asha.

He had missed her so much, even though they had met only a day he felt comfortable with her and it seems without her a part of him is gone.

He felt incomplete and really needed to see her beautiful face, to him she was the only one to cheer him up and she means a lot to him.

He smiled widely and Nicole pointed her finger to his direction, he was confused why she doing that, so he glared daggers at her.

” Oh my God, sir you smiled, just now.” She said as she also smiled.

He cleared his throat and kept a straight face before he faced her again.

” I didn’t smile and I don’t have time for this, just clear my schedules and tell the client that we will see tomorrow!.” He half yelled and was about heading for the door when a voice stopped him on his track.

” Who’s that human barking like a dog?”
