“I can’t say it here, let’s go to my office” doctor Collins said.

“Your office can’t you say it here?” Nathan asked.

“It should be private their are many patients here” doctor Collins said.

“Alright” Nathan replied and they all walked to doctor Collins office.

“We are here, what did you have to tell us?” Nathan asked.

“They beat Mr Clerk and it affected one of his legs, he will have to walk with the help of crutches….” doctor Collins said.

“Was that the reason why you told us to come to your office?” Nathan asked and doctor Collins nod his head negatively.

“Then go straight to the point, we have important place to go” Nathan said.

The doctor keeps staring at them, with an unexplainable expression on his face, while they stared back at him, trying to read his expression, but all effort proved abortive.

While waiting for the doctor in anticipation, Mrs Clerk couldn’t help, but get nervous.

For some reason unknown to her, she found herself, drowning in fear, her heart came thumping heavily against her ribcage, like it was trying to force its way out of her.

After what seemed like forever, the doctor finally released the bombshell, the news that threw her over the edge of terror.

“Sorry, but Mr Clerk is HIV positive.” He said, while staring at them.

Her world came crumbling down before her very eyes, as his words keep ringing in her head.

“He’s what!” Mrs Clerk asked surprised written on her face and tears fall freely from her eyes. “I’m sorry, your husband is HIV positive” doctor Collins said again with a pitiful look.

“Stop, don’t say that again, my husband doesn’t have HIV” Mrs Clerk shouted and Adele walked to her.

“Mum you have to take it easy with yourself, because Mr Clerk deserve everything he is facing now” Adele said.

“No HIV positive, he doesn’t deserve that” Mrs Clerk shouted.

“Mrs Clerk take it easy with yourself, that’s not the end of the world for him, he will be fine if he takes his drugs regularly and also come for check up” doctor Collins said.

“You mean he won’t die?” Mrs Clerk asked.

“No he won’t, I write down things he should eat and the eat he shouldn’t eat, and you should also be very careful with him now, I don’t mean you should start running from him, but there are some things you should avoid if you don’t want it to spread” doctor Collins said.

“Ahh, HIV is like a death sentence” Mrs Clerk said crying.

“No Mrs Clerk you get it wrong, he will be fine” doctor Collins replied staring directly at her face and Nathan moved closer to Mrs Clark.

“Don’t you think God is punishing him for you, you shouldn’t be crying because we still have someone important to go, clean your tears, your husband will be fine” Nathan said.

“Are you sure he will be fine?” Mrs Clerk asked. “Trust me, he will” Nathan said.

“I really trust you, but am not sure I can trust you on this” Mrs Clerk said.

“You need to” Nathan said and Adele nod her head in support.

“Can we go check on him now?” Nathan asked. “No sir, he is still sleeping and he doesn’t need distraction for now” doctor Collins said.

“Alright let’s use the opportunity to visit Steve parents” Nathan said.

“They aren’t his parents they’re thieves” Mrs Clerk shouted.

“I’m sorry for calling them his parents” Nathan said and Mrs Clerk stood up from the chair.

“How are you feeling now?” Mrs Clerk asked Steve.

“Am fine now, I’m s very strong guy” Steve replied her with a smile.

“Seeing you smiling alone give me joy, can you take us to your foster parents now?” Mrs Clerk asked.

“Sure I really wanna know the truth” Steve said and Nathan played a record from his phone.

“Whose voice is this?” Steve asked.

“The doctor, your foster mother sister” Nathan replied.

“Oh my goodness! This is cruel” Steve said and stood up from the chair immediately.

“Easy!” Adele and Claire said and rushed to helped him up.

“why are you guys so worried, am fine moreover I am a man” Steve said with a smile.

“We know” Adele replied with an eye roll and they all walked out of the ward.

“Darling, your son is back!” Mrs Ben shouted and rushed to hug Steve, but Steve pushed her slightly from himself.

“Steve darling, what happened why did you pushed me?” Mrs Ben asked surprised and Mr Ben also rushed out of the house.

“Honey what’s happening? Who are they?” Mr Ben asked and Mrs Ben looked up immediately.

“This face look familiar!” Mrs Ben said looking at Mrs Clerk face, and she’s also looking at Steve face at the same time.

“We came to pay you guys a visit, aren’t you gonna give us chair that sit?” Nathan asked.

“Mr O’Brien!” Mr Ben called surprised.

“Wow he knows me, I am fûçking popular” Nathan said with a wide smile.

“Come and have your seat please!” Mr Ben said pointing to a chair.

“honey I will be right back” Mrs Ben said trying to run away.

“If you dare move an inch!” Nathan said and Mrs Ben stopped on get track.

“Mr O’Brien that’s my wife, what did she do to you?” Mr Ben asked.

“Thank goodness you’re awake, how’s your health now?” Doctor Collins asked touching his temperature.

“I’m feeling better doctor” Mr Clerk replied. “Good Mr clerk, I have something to discuss with you!” Doctor Collins said.

“You want the tell me that I’m HIV positive right?” Mr Clerk asked and tears dropped freely from his eyes.

“How…… How did you know?” Doctor Collins asked surprised.
