Until Death – Chapter 8

Chapter 8

Theme: “Feed me more,” Mr. Ryan

I don’t know how it transpired, and I can’t even interpret the kind of vitality, superiority, and adrenaline that surged through my veins. All I know is that I leaped on my feet and flung my body between Kira and the critter. I could see that Kira had already closed her eyes, ready to give up. But I won’t let that happen. She had done a lot of things for me, and she deserved to live. It took a few inches for the spear to touch Kira, then I grabbed it midway. The man opened his mouth wide in shock. The crowds suddenly went silent and I could feel Ryan’s eyes staring at me as if he had just seen a ghost. “You don’t touch my property, especially my precious one,” I warned the guy. My voice comes out with anger and fury attached to it. “You shouldn’t have even raised a hand to hurt her.” The beast stood there in shock. I guessed he and the rest of the people never expected me to wake up again. I am sure they thought I was dead, but they forgot that I am a cat with 20 lives and the angel won’t accept my soul in the other world. I jerked the spear from the beast’s hand and kicked him on the kneel, making him stumble back. I didn’t let him recover before I scurried after him again. I have never felt so devastated as this in my entire life. It was like my body was on fire. The mere sight of Kira’s body with blood all over her makes my rage glisten. The beast stood on his feet, unable to decipher my next move. Then I rushed at him before he could do another trick, so fast that I could feel the air whistling in my ear. Then I hopped, twisted my body twice in the air, and kicked him in his manhood. He went on kneeling, screaming in pain and holding his d**k in agony. I didn’t let that stop me. I raced to the spear and threw it. I watched as the spear drifted in the air and plummeted itself into the beast’s neck while the spear appeared back on his other side. Blood gushed out of his neck, and the beast held his neck, trying to stop the blood. With fury and rage still present in my body, I cat walked to the beast and bent down to his height. Then I whispered into his ear, “You shouldn’t have stroked her.” The man turned his face to me, but I met him with a punch, and I am sure his teeth would have broken. Slowly, he went down, and his blood filled the arena ground. The crowds roar with excitement, and I know that I have slaughtered one of their main players again. I retraced my steps back to Kira’s position and squatted beside her. Blood was dripping from her mouth, and I was sure she had sustained a hell of a lot of injuries. I put her in a bridal style and walked towards the edge of the arena ground, where I was sure that nothing would happen to her. Despite my dad’s warning to ki*ll all my emotions, I couldn’t resist her. It was like a force was pulling me closer to her. I felt like holding her in my arms forever. Slowly, I placed her down on the sandy floor, staring into her face and hoping she wouldn’t give up on me. She opened her eyes, and a weak smile crept into her eyes as she saw me. I can see her urge to jump on me, pull me closer to her body and wrap her tiny but mighty arms around my neck. But she was too weak. She tried standing up, but she groaned in pain, making her quickly withdraw her body. “Don’t stress yourself, sweetheart,” I say to her, touching her face and using my hand to wipe away the blood on her lips. Its red blood tainted her lips, making them more enchanting, while I felt like kissing them… I wish all this would just be over, so I could end up being with her and use the opportunity to explain my feelings for her. “I’m here for you right now, and no one will dare to hurt you,” I assured her, and she smiled.

“I cherish your will to survive,” she managed to say, but her voice was weak and gravelly. “The guy stabbed you with the spear, but you still survived. “You are indeed a cat with 20 lives.”

I told her truthfully. I also admire yours. Without you, I might not be alive. ” And I can see her face flushed with pride.

“Three more stages to go, then we can select our winner.” I heard Ryan’s voice, which bloomed throughout the entire stage. Rey Reed and his girlfriend have now entered the stage to face the 10 deadly squads. Let’s see what he can offer. ” He said, followed by a loud buzzing sound.

“Don’t leave this place,” I told Kira, making sure that our gazes met each other. No matter what happens, don’t leave this viewpoint. And I promised you that we were going to leverage this place together. “

“Stay alive for me,” she answered back. Even though I can see that she is trying so hard to hide her fear, I can feel her urge to follow me. But she waves them off and rests her back against the cage’s net. She closed her eyes, and I could guess that she wanted to relax. Now I knew it was my duty to protect her, and I had to stay alive, no matter what it took. The cage opened, followed by 10 hefty men. They march by their heights, and the expression on their faces shows that they were sent to ki*ll me. I didn’t let that frighten me. They will surely fear me when I am done with them. Slowly, I stand up and move towards the men. Some of them folded their fists, some unsheathed their weapons. I scrutinized their eyes and bodies, and I could see their urge to destroy me. I used my hand to search my body for the steel twin dragon I had taken as an extra weapon earlier. Thankfully, it was still there. I bring it out and assume a battle posture. I waited for the men to make their first move, knowing full well that they wouldn’t hesitate to ki*ll me if I made a single mistake. I locked all my emotions in a cage and activated my fighting instinct. These men, seeing that I wasn’t going to make a move, charged at me with a great skirmish wail. I held my steel dragon weapon tightly, and I quickly stepped aside to evade the attack of the first man, then slammed the steel dragon on his forehead. Blood gushed out instantly, and he went down dead. I could see the look of fury on the other nine men’s eyes, but my own eyes are also red, which means we are both in a rage. I didn’t wait for them to make a move before I rushed into their midst. I was like a wrecking machine, kicking, whacking, and cutting down men. Left and right, the men started falling. I was whirling my body, moving from one place to another and dancing amidst them. I kicked a man on the chest, slammed my steel dragon on his head, and moved from the position before another could whack me. Looking around me, I noticed that they had now been reduced to four in number, while the other six were on the floor, groaning in pain, while some of them stood motionless. One of the four beings attacked me with a spear, but I moved out of the way at the last second. He brought back the spear in an attempt to beat me with it from behind, but I grabbed the spear and slammed my steel dragon on the man’s head. I didn’t let him recover before I hit him on the throat, and I could feel his esophagus bone making a creaking sound. I kicked him in the chest with my boot, and he stumbled back to the arena ground. One of the remaining 3 rushed at me from behind, but I held the spear tightly in my left hand, spun back quickly and threw it. I watch in satisfaction as the spear sails in the air before it finally lodges itself on the man’s stomach, making his intestines spew. The remaining two rushed at me once, and I retraced my steps, then wielded the steel dragon and used it to perform a different style before I finally grabbed it with my left hand. It stepped aside to avoid the blow, then used the steel dragon to parry another one. One of them presented his blast, but I blocked it and wrapped the steel dragon around his arm. I tightened my weapon on his arm before using it to fling him away. I bent low to avoid the first man who attacked and quickly rolled away as he was about to knock me with his shank. I didn’t let him regain his stance when I did a back leg cut of the grass and swept him off his feet. The techniques caught him off-alert, making him land with his butt on the arena ground. I jumped on my feet with half a leg. I did a Chinese get up, standing on one leg while I kicked him in the stomach with my other leg. The other man that I flung away earlier with my steel dragon came rushing at me again. He sent a punch to me, which hit me in the stomach, making me wince in pain. He presented another piquancy, but I caught his hand this time, drew him closer, and head-butted him. He staggered backwards, and I rushed at him, hopped high, and elbowed him in the middle of the head. Blood sprouted out of his mouth, but that didn’t move me to release him. I could tell that his head was banging and his eyes were spinning, but I wasn’t done. I pulled him by the collar and punched him in the mouth, making sure that his teeth were removed. My ear caught the fast-approaching footsteps just like it had caught the small buzz sound in the subterranean the day I met and became friends with Kira and the rest of my team on the arena ground. I spun back, and my stare met with that of the first man. He was rushing at me with a knife in his hand. I trudged behind the man I was holding, making the knife sink into his stomach. The man stood there in shock, unable to believe that he had just murdered his partners. I didn’t give him the chance to make another move when I hit him with my steel dragon. He stumbled backwards, but he quickly regained his stance. He charged at me again, whacking the knife and using it in different styles. I wasn’t relenting either. I avoided most of the attacks, while my steel dragon also parried some of them. He slashed at me with the knife, and I grabbed his hand. He quickly released the knife, snatched it with his second hand, and used it to shred my left leg. I felt the knife cutting deep into my flesh, making blood drip out. He used the opportunity to kick me in the chest with his boot, which sent me tumbling on the cage’s sandy floor. The crowds are still yelling in enjoyment, their screams covering the whole place, and I am sure that they will be doubling their betting money now. The man attacked me again, but I quickly stood up with my wounded leg, which was now oozing blood, and moved out of the way. He bought his knife back, as easily as he had wielded it, making it slice me on the back. I screamed in discomfort and frustration at the same time, while the crowds howled in happiness. I shake my head in fury, tighten my grip on my weapon, and rush at him, this time with my limping leg. He tried to attack me with the knife again, but I was too fast to hit him on the arm with the steel dragon. The man screamed in agony, withdrew his hand for a split second, and then attacked me again. I quickly stepped behind him with my limping leg and struck him in the back of the head with my weapon. I didn’t let him turn around when I attacked him with the steel dragon again, and the chain of my weapon wrapped around his neck, choking him. I caught the other end of the steel and tightened my grip on the two sheets of steel, making the chain wrap around the man’s neck more tightly. He was trying to free himself, struggling to get free, but I didn’t give him the chance. After what seemed like forever, he stopped moving and his knee went down. I released my grip on the steel dragon and unwrapped the chain from his neck, making the man collapse to the cage floor. I dragged my limping leg and moved closer to Kira. She was still resting her back on the cage net, and I could see a smile on her lips, which healed my wounded leg internally and made my heart flush with satisfaction. I can see that she is now feeling better, while most of her wounds have been wrapped with some pieces of cloth that I suspected belonged to some of the dead bodies. I remove my gaze from Kira and face the audience. Their voices echo loudly, with their hands raised in celebration. I am sure they are the people that placed their bet on Kira and me. I let my gaze travel all around the arena, searching for Ryan. Finally, I spotted him sitting in the middle of the crowds. Beside him stood the slut he was calling his wife, while two soldiers were standing beside them as sentries. “Is that all you got, Mr. Ryan?” I yell at him, making sure that my voice travels throughout the arena ground. Or you are frightened to send your men out, knowing fully well that they wouldn’t last a minute with me.” I could see his expression darkening while he clenched his fist in anger.

“You are wrong, Rey Reed,” Ryan replied, his voice sounding throughout the arena with the help of the mic. All the crowds went silent, waiting for what was going to happen next. I can even see that some of them have started placing their bets with their fingers pointing at me. “This is just the beginning, Rey Reed,” Ryan concluded with a dangerous voice, but I wasn’t moved by his threat.

“Bring it on, as***ole.” I spat at him, making sure that my voice was loud and clear enough for the crowds to hear. Feed me more, Mr. Ryan. I accepted his challenges, and the crowds roared with pleasure again.
