Until death-chapter 16

Theme: Welcome to the Afterlife, part 5 [Esther’s clone]

Lucifer’s daughter stood in front of me with her chain spike. She had a halberd in her other hand, and her eyes held fury.

I stood there, breathing heavily, and hoping that I had the strength to take this b***h. Even if I managed to defeat her, what about General Zod? I am sure he is waiting for the right moment to strike.

I search deep down for the power I possessed earlier, waiting for it to surface again, but I can’t. I closed my eyes, hoping that when I opened them, the rune sword would become lighter in my hand and start flickering again, but it all proved abortive. Without being told, I knew I was alone with my skills and survival intuitions, and that I had to fight this b***h with all of the military training I had received.

She let out a guttural cry and slashed at me, her spike aiming straight for my chest, and I barely ducked aside at the last seconds. In the same motion, she spun back, using her other hand that held the halberd to attack me, but I parried the blow with my sword.

The sound of metal against metal was so loud that it echoed all over the room, our weapons glittering with fire. Back and forth the battle went. She twirled her halberd, moved at an inhumane speed, faster than the light, and scarred at me. I could barely block her blow again. I could feel my arm growing weak, and all my muscles were aching badly.

She slashed at me again, her blow coming down with great fierceness, and I quickly raised my sword to block it. Her halberd rests on my sword. I watched as her eyes lit up purple, and her retina turned orange. Instantly, I knew she had just tapped into their dark power.

I didn’t wait for her to make another move before I raised my leg and kicked her in the chest with my boot. It was an unexpected attack, as the force threw her some feet backward, and I was even surprised by the weight of my attack.

Before she could stand up, I rushed at her, my sword raised high and ready to sever at her. Surprisingly, my blow went through the thin air instead. I look around me, not understanding what is going on.

A few seconds ago, she was on the ground, struggling to stand up. Another moment, she was nowhere to be found.

I feel a sharp pain in my back, jolting me out of my thoughts. I spun back in fury, ready to slash at her again, but the unexpected happened. My sword passed through her as if cutting through the air. She was right in front of me, giggling evilly with the halberd still in her hand, but my sword was just cutting through the thin air, no matter how hard I tried to attack her.

My survival instinct kicked in, and I quickly stepped aside. Just then, a spike whistled past my head from behind. I turned around only to be greeted by a deadly blow. The force was so strong that it carried me all the way up to the other side of the room. I felt my blood spittle all over my mouth, and I was trying my best to fight the darkness that was threatening to overtake me.

Gathering my stability back, I managed to stand on my feet, but my mouth opened wide in shock at the sight in front of me. Esther’s duplicate, possibly ten in number, stands in front of me. They had no weapon in their hand, but a claw and a sharp fang. Their eyes have now turned bloodshot.

Together, they charged at me, and I quickly raised my sword and blocked the blow of one of them as its razor-sharp claw rushed down my face. It stopped with a clank, sparks flying out, and I quickly dodged out of the way, as the duplicate slid down its claw off my blade, and swiped for my throat.

I retaliated by kicking her on the chest, but my leg went past her as usual, making me stumble forward in the process.

I was too slow to react as another duplicate attacked me with her claw, scratching my face in the process. A painful scream escaped my lips, but it was cut short as I felt something hard hit me on the chest, which slammed me on the wall instead, pinning me to it.

Still, in my weak state, I managed to raise my head, only to see the clone of Esther. They filled the whole room, and I was unable to count them. The terror in my eyes increased, and my heart started beating faster.

“Don’t panic, Rey Reed Smith,” Esther said, her voice coming out of the clone’s mouth at once.

“I wasn’t going to ki*ll you, I just wanted to have some fun with you.”

“To hell with you and your clone, “I growled at her,” but she only giggled back.

“Attack and beat him, just don’t ki*ll him.” I heard her ordering her clone.

They charge at me, their claws growing longer with each passing moment. I spun around and slashed at one of the clones, but the clone was surprisingly fast. It lunged forward, leaping high into the air and coming straight down on me. Unfortunately, that was her mistake. I had already prepared for it.

I had underestimated their speed, but I would not do so a second time. I knew they were fighting with dark magic, but I had the skills to beat them. No matter how weak I may be, I am still sure that I will whack them, just like I have been doing to the previous enemy.

I squatted down low and raised the sword high-and I let the clone impale itself, falling right through the sword. I watch in awe as the sword strikes home. It penetrates the clone, followed by its painful shriek before it finally dissolves into a tiny orbit. I examined the sword closely, only to discover that it was now glinting golden again.

With a dangerous smirk on my lips, I rose to my knees and swung my sword low, slashing off the legs of two other clones as they came swooping on me.

Then I turned and thrust my sword backwards, puncturing one in the gut before it landed on her back.

I looked around the room, hoping to see just a few clones remaining, but I was wrong. They have now multiplied, they are appearing out of nowhere, and they seem to have filled the room. Thank God, the rune sword is still glowing in my hand, and I can feel the urge to take more blood. Without hesitation, I threw myself into the heart of the battle.

The clones descended on me from all directions, and I found myself in the midst of a heated battle. I started shredding, nudging and kicking, keeping the clones at gulf as they kept coming in their full number.

I fought and fought for what seemed like forever, but they never stopped coming. It was like a triple whammy that aroused everyone I slew. There is nowhere to retreat in this spacious, locked room.

My shoulder is aching, and my elbow is full of blood, exhausted from my long fight all day and endless battle.

I groaned in pain as I felt a talon slashing my hand, leaving a deep cut in the process. I turned to see a creature swinging at me again, coming down with her razor-sharp claws, aiming for my gut. I barely ducked, and the claw scratched my face instead. I react instantly by stabbing the clone in the abdomen, then turning around, spinning and attacking the rest of the clone.

Now my hand is getting heavier, as the clone seems never to end again. I was too engrossed in fighting one when I felt a spike hitting me from behind. The force threw me forward, making me land on the marble floor with a loud thud. I coughed out blood. My body was too heavy to lift, making me lay still on the ground, hoping for a miracle to occur.

Out of the corner of my hand, I spotted a clone aiming for me, ready to stab me in the gut. With the last strength left in me, I managed to roll out of the way, but I was kicked in the ribs by another one. I felt my rib bone crash, which sent another pain through my entire system.

They came for me with their number, ready to tear me into pieces, and I closed my eyes, waiting for the final blow.

Perhaps this is how I am going to end my life. If I had known, I would have followed my dad’s advice when he told me to ki*ll all my emotions before they sent me to an earlier grave. Now take a look at me. I am about to be killed by a girl clone.

I can feel their footsteps growing closer. Just when I am sure they are about to strike me, Lucifer’s daughter’s voice stops them. “That is enough for now.”

I sigh in relief, take a deep breath to calm my nerves and manage to drag my weak body up. Gathering all the strength left in me, I managed to crawl to the end of the wall, which made my backrest on it in the process. I used the opportunity to examine the being I had been fighting since morning.

The

They had the same features as Esther, except that they were a little bit taller than her. When I looked closer, I noticed something strange: they had no shadow, which could only mean one thing: they are a delusion.

“Can’t believe an ordinary illusion beat Smith’s great descendant to the pulp,” the b***h’s voice cut into my thoughts. “Thanks to your star that I didn’t interfere, it would have been more brutal than this.”

“Come out and stop hiding like a coward,” I spat back, my voice full of venom and rage at the same time. “You are a b***h, good for nothing, Lucifer’s daughter.”

I can feel my anger burning through my body, coursing all over my veins and threatening to burst out at the same time. Slowly, the anger started to shift into something else. I can feel my power again.

It was starting to flare up from the depths of my stomach like a volcano pit, threatening to burst out. All the wounds in my body started closing up automatically, and my lost strength started returning.

I could feel my body burning hard, to the extent that I was unable to control myself.

Just when I thought my body was going to explode, a white light emitted from my body and blasted all the clones at once. I watched in awe as they started vanishing out of sight, disappearing with the thin air.

“Noo!” I heard General Zod and Esther shrieking at the same time.

you can’t escape here, Rey Reed, the last of the Smiths, never.” I heard another dark voice accompany General Zod and Esther’s own.

“You belong here, and you shall take me to the location of the Nectar, then pay for the sins of your generation.” The dark voice said it again.

“Who the f**k are you?” I yelled out, but my voice was met with nothing but silence. I waited for what seemed like forever, hoping that the being, or General Zod and Esther, would appear, but nothing happened.

After what seemed like forever, the voice finally replied, “Let’s play the game of darkness.” He said, and I could hear the venom entangle his voice.

I don’t know what happened, but the voice sounds familiar. It was like a voice I had heard before, and it was like I had seen the face of the voice’s owner before, but I couldn’t remember.

The light that was illuminating the whole room suddenly went off, leaving everything in darkness, and fear crept into my heart instantly. If there is anything I hate so much, it is darkness.

“Shall we begin, Rey Reed Smith?” The dark voice said it again.

“Show your face, idiot.” I snapped back. “Stop hiding like a coward and fight me like a man.”

“I admire your courage,” another voice replied, and I could guess that it belonged to General Zod.

“This is the ninth dimension of the earth, a place of no retreat, no surrender.” I heard the familiar voice again.

“The great reapers in their palace,” Esther’s voice chirps in.

“The world of illusions reapers, the great world of fantasy, and the canyon of death. El mundo de la ilusión de los recuentos, el gran mundo del espejo y el cañón de la muerte. Surge y sostuvo mis llamadas. ” I heard the familiar voice chanting in an unknown language.

“You are doomed, Rey Reed Smith.” General Zod’s voice concluded, followed by a great earthquake which shook the whole building to its hinges. Gradually, the room started shifting into another place.

Before I could blink my eyes, I found myself in the middle of nowhere, on top of a bridge that seemed to be made of glass.

“Welcome to the canyon of death, Rey Reed of Smith.” I heard Lucifer’s daughter’s voice tribute. “Let’s see how you will survive.”
