CHAPTER 69

Kiara’s p.o.v.

It’s been a week since Kyle has proposed to me.

Ever since, everyone has been planning the engagement date to be this week, and the wedding two weeks after.

It’s a little too fast for me, but I will work with it.

It’s also been a week since I called my childhood best girlfriend, Shana to tell her about the proposal.
When she found out, she immediately booked tickets to come to califoe from Georgia.

Mum, Kyle’s mum and I had been planning all the week.

From the theme, to the dress, to the guests, and everything.

I decided that Shana would be my maid of honor; while Sarah, Jane, and Ashely would be the bridesmaids.

The three of them were my other close friends and I couldn’t just help but pick them.

Anyway, they flew here too.

And today, we were shopping; wedding dress shopping.

In fact, we were in Kyle’s mom fashion boutique; le jenour.

“Gosh. These dresses are beautiful. How come you are so talented?”

My soon to be mother in-law waved me off like it was nothing.

“Thank you sweetie. But, I’m really not.”

I chuckled,

“I say the contrary. ”

“How about this one?” Mum pointed, to a beautiful mermaid dress.

“I think it’s pretty.”

“Yeah,” I sighed.

“But, I don’t want one that shows my curves. I would like a flowry one.”

I jumped as I saw Shana tackle the dress that was on display in the middle of the boutique.

“This one is perfect for you.” She pointed to the dress obnoxiously.

I smiled,

“Well, it’s nice and simple too. I like it. ”

Shana squealed, as I told her to put it on hold.

As we looked around further, the bridesmaids were picking out their own dresses.

A smile grew on my face as I pulled out a dress that would look fairly amazing in shana, herself.

“Hey, shan!” I called her, making her turn around, wide eyed and jaw dropped.

“What do you think of it?”

Shana didn’t sat anything for a while, until her sudden yell caused me a heart attack.

“Its PERFECT!!!” she screamed, nodding her head rapidly.

I chuckled, giving it to her try it on.

And when she came out, I was absolutely right.

She did, indeed, look amazing.

Sighing, I saw that my mum and Kyle’s mom had already picked out their dresses, while the girls argued over the bridesmaids, considering they had to be the same and none of them had the same interests.

Now, it was just me.

I wanted it to be perfect.

Not for me.

But for Kyle.

I wanted him to think I was perfect.

And that’s sort of hard considering your fiancée can’t see your dress until the wedding day.

I stared at the dresses that I had approved already.

Sure, they were all beautiful, but they just …..they weren’t me.

The didn’t say kiara.

They didn’t say perfection.

They were gorgeous, yes, but too gorgeous.

I wanted simple and beautiful.

Not diamond in crested or anything.

Just simple.

When it finally came to the point where I felt like giving up, something caught my attention.

A single wedding dress fell off of its hanger, falling to the floor on the other side of the room.

Not wanting to get it dirty, I went over to the dress and picked it up.

Just before I could even put it back, though, a silent gasp escaped my lips.

My lips curved into a smile full of happiness.

This was it.

This was the dream wedding dress that I have searched for since forever.
