ROXANNA
( Her quest for revenge )

CHAPTER 15

A man was sitting gallantly in his office as he wore a bored expression on his face.

One of his men walked in the office…

“Boss, we have a bad news for you. Mr Lance Jenkins is dead. He was caught by a lady who goes by the name agent R” The man said.

“I knew it, I knew that my useless brother will die and all that because of sex” The man said.

“I can’t let that lady get to me” He continued.

He sat down and kept thinking for a while he smirked as an idea came up in his mind…

“I need you to call my son, tell him to inform my other brother to pause on the exportation of marijuana going on in Columbia. And also tell him to come back” He said and lit up his cigarette

“Yes boss” He said and walked out.

“It’s not a woman that will lead to my downfall, be ready agent R, whoever you are or whoever you’re working with I’ll find you and make sure you pay for my brother’s death” He said and brought the cigarette to his lips again.

It was already 7pm and Suzy was busy preparing for tonight. She wore a simple red top with a black skirt and flat shoes.

She applied a lip gloss and tied up her hair in a ponytail before putting on her earrings.

She walked out of her room and branched to Roxanna’s room. She peeped in and saw her lying on the bed smiling widely.

“Wow, what’s the smile for” Suzy asked entering fully.

“You can’t believe it, Nate was here. We spent the whole day together” Roxanna said with a smile.

“Oh I see, your forbidden love was here” Suzy teased.

“Oh stop that, he’s not my love” Roxanna said.

“Till when will you keep denying the evident. You love him Roxy” Suzy said as she sat down beside Roxanna.

“Maybe it’s love. But it’s just one sided love” Roxanna said sadly.

“You’ll never know unless you tell him” Suzy said.

“Alright thank for the advice, you look hot where are you going at this time” Roxanna asked

“It’s a long story, I’ll tell you everything once I get back home” Suzy said and walked out of her room heading downstairs.

She opened the door and coincidentally Rulian was there. They stared at each for some time.

“Let’s go” Rulian broke the silence.

Suzy nodded and they walked out of the house. Suzy boarded one of her cars and drove off to his directives.

She stopped the car in front of his house. It was pretty small compared to her house.

They alighted the car and walked to his house. They entered and saw a woman sitting on a chair as she spotted them, she slowly stood up and walked to them

Rulian hugged her and smiled then kissed her forehead.

*Wow, it’s my first time seeing him smile* Suzy thought.

“Is she the girl who paid for my operation. Your girlfriend?” Her mother asked and Rulian nodded.

“Wow she’s beautiful. Come here” She said and spread her arm.

Suzy hugged her.

They broke the hug and she cupped Suzy’s cheek.

“Thank you so much, you saved my life” She said with a smile

“It’s my pleasure ma’am” Suzy replied.

“Please call me mum”

“Alright mum”

“I had something prepared, let me fix the dining table. You guys can have some time alone while I’m fixing it” She said and walked to the kitchen.

Suzy looked back Rulian and looked away, not knowing what to say.

He walked out of the house. Suzy followed shortly and stood beside him staring at him. He had his gaze fixed on the stars.

“Where’s your father?” Suzy suddenly asked.

“I don’t have a father.” He answered still staring at the stars.

“What do you mean?” Suzy asked.

“My mother was raped, that’s how she conceived me. She struggled a lot in order to bring me up” Rulian said.

“I’m sorry” She said.

“You know growing up without a dad is really tough. Adding to the fact that my mom’s health isn’t stable, I really don’t want to loose her. I will do everything just to make her happy even if it’s just for a week” He said.

Suzy placed her hand on his that where o. the railings. He looked at her hand and then at her face.

She smiled

“Hey it’s okay. She’ll be fine, no need to worry” She said with a smile.

He entwined their finger and then smiled shortly before looking back at the stars.

Suzy placed her head on his shoulder and they stayed like that.

On the other hand Miss Rebecca (Rulian mother) stood by the door and watched them. She wiped off her tears and smiled.

“I know you’re just pretending to make me happy. I hope you find someone who’ll love you just as you will love her” She thought.

They walked in the house and ate dinner the chatted about random things till it was time for Suzy to go back home.

“I’ll have to go now” She said and stood up.

“Let me escort you to your car” Rulian said.

She picked Rebecca on the cheek and walked out of the house with Rulian behind her.

“Alright, I’ll be going now” she said and pressed the button on her car keys, it opened.

She made to open the door but he held her hand.

She turned and looked at him. He stared at her for some seconds before letting her hand go.

“Goodnight” He said and walked away.

She smiled and boarded her car then began driving home.

Suddenly a car blocked her way and some men came out of it wearing mask.

“Get out of the car!!” They said.

*And another bunch of idiots who wants to kidnap the senator daughter* She thought with a bored expression.

She got out of the car with her hands on her head. She began walking closer to them.

They were three in numbers.

One of them grabbed her by the arm.

“I’m sure with you we’re gonna make good money from the senator.” He said.

She elbowed him on the stomach and held his hand then twist it to his back and kicked him away.

One of the men launched at her but she ducked and landed a blow on his face.

Shr turned to the last one and then hit her hand on his neck, he passed out.

She stared at the three of them lying on the floor unconscious.

“Pathetic” She said.

She tied them up and placed them on the road way then wrote a note and pinned it on them.

She boarded her car and drove back home…

__________Next day

Roxanna woke up feeling happy. She touched her cheek and smiled as she thought about Nathaniel.

She stood up and finally her leg was healed as she felt no more pains while walking on it.

She un bandaged it and walked to the bathroom.

“Freedom!! No more crutches!” She exclaimed as she brushed her teeth.

After she was done with it, she took her bath and walked out of the bathroom.

She applied her cream and wore a black sleeveless gown with a white bum short. She wore her shoes and picked up her bag before walking out of her room.

Today she had some lectures to attend to. She walked downstairs and Suzy was already dressed waiting for her.

She sat down and they ate breakfast together before walking out of the house. A driver drove them to their school.

_______Jefferson university

They alighted the car and walked in. Catherine and Jennifer were already there.

They stuck hands and walked in. Yvonne and Olivia arrived shortly.

They walked in their class and as always student began screaming their name.

*The ROSY girls!!
*Oh my gosh Roxanna is so hot today, I wish she was my girl.
*Have you seen Suzy damn!
*I heard Yvonne is with Mason the top model. They are so lucky!!
*My favorite Olivia we love you!!

Those are the comments from the boys and girls in the hall.

They smiled and waved at them before taking their seats. The lecturer came in and began his class.

______Two hours later.

The lecture was over and it was the only one for the day. The girls walked out of the school while chatting. People were taking pictures of them as usual.

“I’m tired of this celebrity life, it’s super awkward that you can’t even breath without reporters tailing behind you” Olivia said.

“Yeah you’re right” Yvonne said.

They spotted a car and the person leaning on it was non other than Mason he was busy pressing his phone while the ladies passing were busy drooling on him.

“Babe!!” Yvonne said and ran to him.

He looked up and smiled as he saw her running to her. He spread his arms and she ran to his arms. He hugged her tightly and after some seconds they broke the hug.

He pecked her lips and the people passing began flashing their cameras on them.

“Those dang fans” Mason said and Yvonne chuckled.

She turned and waved at the girls before entering his car as they drove off.

“Aww I’m so jealous of Yvonne right now. She’s the most quiet of the group but still she is the first to get out of the single group” Catherine whined.

“That’s unfair” Suzy said.

Rulian walked up to them and faced Suzy. Suzy was surprised to see him here and how did he know her school.

*Is he stalking me?* She thought.

“Do you wanna grab a bite with me?” Rulian with that usual cold expression on his face.

“Uh, I don’t think so. I and the girls we…”

“No, it’s okay you can go with him” Olivia cut her.

“Yeah we’re fine with it” Roxanna said with a smirk on his face

“Yeah go on” Jennifer and Catherine said.

“Alright let’s go” Suzy said and removed her shades from her bag and put it on together with a head scarf in order to avoid attention.

They walked away.

The others laughed and walked away.

“Looks like Suzy will soon come out of the single group” Roxanna said

Suzy and Rulian were sitting in a restaurant eating. And awkward silence surrounded them as they ate.

After their lunch they walked out of the restaurant and they strolled, non of them spoke.

“Can you fight?” Suzy broke the silence

“Yeah, I can defend myself pretty well” He replied.

She removed something from her bag and handed it to him. He took it and gave her a questioning look.

“That’s my dad’s office number. I kinda figured out that you don’t have a stable job so I decided to help you out. I will refer you to my father and whatever job is available he will give it to you based on you educational attainment” She said looking ahead of her.

Rulian stared at her, not knowing what to say or do. This is the first time someone helped him and asked nothing in return.

“Thank you” He said.

“You’re welcome.What are friends for” She replied and looked up at him then smiled.

He held her hand and intertwined the finger. Suzy looked at their hands and looked at him, he had a slight smile on his lips, she smiled back as they continued walking.

Roxanna separated with her friends and decided to go and visit Nathaniel at his studio.

*I’ll tell him about my feelings and whatever happens I’ll take it* She thought as she walked to his studio.

Nathaniel removed his headset and smiled at his sound producer.

“Wow you nailed it again” The producer said.

“Thanks” He replied.

He picked up a bottle of water and gulped it down. Someone walked in.

“Excuse me Mr Davis, a lady wants to see you” He said.

Nathaniel kept back the bottle of water ane walked out of the room. He was showed who wants to see her and he gasped as he saw who it was.

A very beautiful lady dressed in white gown that ended in the middle of her thigh with black long hairs and a slender body, in short she was very beautiful.

“Cordelia?” Nathaniel said unable to contain his shock.

She smiled and walked towards him.

“Babe” She said and wrapped his hands round his neck and kissed him.

Nathaniel froze as he didn’t expect her to be here talk less of her kissing him.

He pushed her away and his eyes traveled to the entrance. Shock!! Roxanna was standing there starring at them with a confused expression.

“I’m sorry I interrupted you guys, I’ll leave now” She faked a smile and walked out of the studio.
