Xavier sat on the floor in his room as he watched the news about him

Ciara was being interviewed and she shamelessly told the whole world she was Raped by Xavier two years ago

 

Xavier crawled to where the remote was and turned off the news then he crawled back to where he was and sat back

His legs felt too numb for him to walk

Without being told, he already knew there are reporters outside his house waiting for him to come out

 

He brought two bottles of alcohol closer to himself and took a cigarette out of the pack as he recalled the last thing Camila said before walking out

He sighed and put the cigarette in his mouth ready to light when Anita ran inside

 

“Don’t do it” She said and snatched the lighter away from him

 

“Give it back” Xavier said so weak

“No, don’t smoke.. I know how hard it is for you right now but smoking is not the solution, at this right you might end up having lung cancer”

 

“That’s much better” Xavier said and snatched back the lighter from her “She left” he added and Anita arched her brow

 

“Who?”

 

“Camila left” Xavier said,tears gathered in his eyes as he inhaled and exhaled the smoke from the cigarette “She’s mean…She promised to be with me no matter what but she failed her promise” he scoffed and sniffed back his tears

 

Some part of Anita felt relieved while some part of her felt bad

 

“I will stay with you” She said

Xavier leaned his head on the wall and closed his eyes

“You can leave too…everyone is always leaving me… Dad left me, Mom left me and…Camila…” His voice trailed off as he gulped down a bottle of alcohol

 

“I wont leave you, I will stay with you, I’m not going anywhere” Anita said and he scoffed

 

“You are so desperate”

 

The door to his room and two detectives entered with an arrest warrant and handcuff

 

“Xavier, you are under arrest” one of the detective said showing him the arrest warrant

 

“What? You are gonna arrest him? Why? What did he do wrong??” Anita asked, so worried

 

“This shouldn’t be your first time hearing it but Rape is a crime, You can call and discuss everything to his Lawyer” The detective said to Anita handcuffing his hand as they dragged him up and pulled him outside like a criminal

 

Once they were outside, the reporters and the angry fans all surrounded him

 

“Mr Xavier, did you really Rape Ciara two years ago?”

 

“What do you have to say about it?”

 

“Is there a reason why you smoke?”

 

“Do you take hard drugs too”

The reporters asked recording him but he was adviced not to say a thing by the cops

 

“You are a real jerk Xavier, I hate you!!” The angry fans yelled, throwing salt and eggs at him

 

That moment he wanted the world to disappear

He had heard many scandals about celebrities but he didn’t know it was gonna happen to him one day

Camila sat at Nancy’s house watching the news

She watched as Xavier was being dragged like a criminal inside the cops car, his hands were handcuffed

His fans all turned his back against him and he was being thrown salt and egg

 

She was not aware she was crying not until Nancy handed her an handkerchief

 

“Thanks” She said and used it to wipe her tears

 

“Are you regretting it now?? Why did you leave him in the first place? This is the time Xavier needs you the most” Nancy sat on the couch and turned off the news to prevent Camila from watching it

 

“I miss him” Camila said staring at his picture on her phone

 

“Stop being a drama queen, if I was Xavier I won’t ever forgive you” Nancy said and moved closer to her “Camila….I think you overreacted a bit, Let’s be sincere here, He Raped Ciara two years ago before you guys even started dating and you don’t even know the reason why he smokes…instead of breaking up with him you should have talked it out”

 

“He had no explanation” Camila frowned

 

“I’m sure he did but you weren’t willing to listen to him, When scandals about celebrities arise and they can’t hold it anymore, they commit suicide, What if that happens to Xavier too” Nancy said and camila’s eyes widened with shock and fear

 

“Su….cide??” She stammered and Nancy nod

 

“Yeah, if he dies you are gonna regret not protecting him” Nancy said and walked away

 

Camila sighed as she recalled what Mrs Lyson told her before she died

“I must be crazy” She yelled hitting her head

 

Two days later…….

 

Xavier laid in the cell where he was locked up

He could hardly open his eyes or move

He hasn’t eaten or drank for the past two days

 

“Xavier” he heard someone called his name

 

He managed to open his eyes and saw Drake staring at him with such a pitiful eyes

 

“Xavier, are you okay??” Drake asked with so much concern as Xavier sat up

 

“Drake, What are you doing here?” He mouthed and Drake sighed

 

“I’m glad you can still talk, I found a way to get you out of here, I paid the cops some amount so they will release you in some minutes” he said and Xavier scoffed

 

“Why are you suddenly acting nice?”

 

“I’m being serious right now” Drake said “Once you are released, You should wait for me in the car, I get a way to take you home without the reporters seeing you” He said

 

“OK” Xavier nod and Drake walked to one of the detective

 

Just like he said, Xavier was released but instead of going to Drake’s car, He staggered down the street and once he got to the nearby Bridge, he stopped

 

He climbed the bridge and took off his jacket and his shoes

 

Staring at the river, he recalled his mother and then Camila, then Drake and Anita

 

“You guys are always there for me” he said, tears dripping from his eyes “I like you so much but……I’m sorry, I can’t live like this anymore” he wiped his tears and took a step to the edge of the bridge

 

“I hope you guys forget me when I’m gone” he sighed and closed his eyes ready to jump when someone suddenly screamed his name

 

“XAVIER!!!”

 

The voice sounds so familiar

He turned and saw Camila running to him

She also climbed the bridge and hugged him from the back

 

“Let go!!” Xavier said, trying to remove her hand

 

“No, you can’t die” Camila said, Crying

The tears suddenly made Xavier calm

 

“I can’t let you commit suicide, I’m sorry….I will be with you now..so…please, don’t die” She said, breathing heavily

 

“Let go of me” Xavier said and t removed her hand but he slipped

He almost fell but Camila was fast enough to grab his hand

 

Fear engraved the both of them as they stared at each other directly

 

“No” Camila mouthed and Xavier smiled

 

“I like you so much” he said, Camila tears now getting worse than before

“No, you can’t do this”

 

“Dont live in guilt, this is not because of you, don’t blame yourself for anything” Xavier said and forcefully removed his hand from hers

 

“Noooooo” Camila yelled as she watched him fall in the river
