Camila heard the doorbell from her room and she walked to the door and twisted the knob
She was surprised to see manager George carrying Xavier on his back

He reeked of alcohol

“What happened?” She asked as they both walked to his room and manager George laid Xavier on the bed

“He drank” manager George replied
“What? Why?”

“I’m not sure, he said the friend of his friend got rejected but I’m sure it’s a lie, I think he was rejected by a girl” manager George scoffed

Camila was speechless
Did Xavier drink because she rejected him??

“I’m going, take care of him and I want you to keep an eye on him, I’m curious to know the girl who rejected him, she’s the perfect girl for someone like him” manager George grinned and walked out

Camila took of his sneakers and covered him with the duvet

“Why did you drink so much, you are making me feel guilty” She said, staring at his face

The door opened and Anita walked inside
“I saw manager George here, is everything okay?” She asked and Camila nod

“Yeah,its just that Xavier drank”

“What?he drank? Why?”

“I’m not sure” Camila lied
“That’s strange, its rare to see him drinking and he doesn’t drink for no reason, he’s more reserved than that” Anita arched her brow

Camila took one last look at him before walking to the door
She was about to twist the knob when Anita stopped her

“I told Him about my feelings” She said

“Really? That’s great” Camila said, without looking at her “Did it turn out well?”

“No, he told me he likes someone else” Anita said and Camila sighed
This was making her feel even more guilty

“He do??” She mouthed, pretending like she knew nothing

“Yeah, by the way.. Do you know the girl he likes?” Anita asked and Camila was dumbfounded

Why is Everyone asking her this question?
Why is everyone so curious?

“Shut up!!!! You are making noise!!!” Xavier yelled from his sleep and threw a pillow which met Camila at her head

“Darn you, Prick” she murmured, rubbing her head

She sat at the basketball court in school watching other students play against each other
They were all dressed in their gym clothes since it was Physical Education class
She’s not really interested in sport so she’s bad at playing games especially basketball

“What’s up with you?” Nancy asked and sat beside her
“Nothing much” She replied

“Today’s class is so boring, Why are we playing basketball of all” Nancy grumbled and placed her head on Camila’s shoulder

“You are so Lazy” Camila smiled
“Whatever, I’m so stressed out this days, I lost my earrings I bought two days ago, it was so expensive, I only had to wear it because of Drake” Nancy said and Camila looked at her

“What? Drake?”

“Yeah, Drake, I knew you will be surprised when you hear this but Drake and I are pretty close” She said and brought out her phone
She showed Camila the selfie she took with Drake

“Isn’t he cute? When I posted this on Instagram, I had more followers, aren’t you jealous of me?” She squealed and Camila scoffed

“Jealous my foot, you are gonna lose consciousness when I tell you who I work for” Camila thought to herself

“By the way, I think Drake know who you are…..are you close to him ?”

“Kind of” Camila replied and Nancy gasped

“Are you his manager?”

“No!!”

“Then who do you work for? Aren’t you gonna tell me? I’m your best friend” Nancy said, raising her voice

“I work for a rich man, I work as his grandson’s manager” Camila said and Nancy stared at her suspiciously

“Are you lying right now?”

“No, I’m not” Camila said and their phone but beeped at the same time

Nancy had a text from Drake while Camila had one from Anita

“Drake just texted me” Nancy blushed as she read the text
‘✉️Let’s meet, I have something to give you’✉️

Camila unlocked her phone and read the text from Anita
‘✉️I think Xavier caught a cold, he has been shivering and coughing✉️’

“I have to go” they both chorused and ran out of the basketball court like their hair was on fire

Their classmates were not surprised
They always run away when class is going on

Nancy ran to the playground where Drake had said to meet her
She saw him sitting on a swing
She ran to him and tapped him

“Drake”

“Oh…you are here?” Drake said and she smiled
“Yeah”

“Did you run?”

“Yeah,you said you had something to give me” Nancy said , trying to catch her breath

“I’m sorry I made you run” Drake said and brought a small black box from his pocket

“Whats this?” Nancy asked as she collected the box and opened it

Inside it was a new pair of earrings

“I lost your earrings so I bought you another one, I hope you like it” Drake said and Nancy looked at him, smiling again

“Of course I like it, it’s totally my style” She said “thank you” she added and Drake scoffed

⏩⏩⏩⏩

Camila ran to Xavier’s room
She saw Anita sitting and cooling his head with a wet towel

“What happened?” She asked as soon as she entered

“I was cleaning his room when he suddenly started to cough and shiver, he’s temperature is also rising, I think its because he stayed in the rain too much yesterday” Anita said

“We should take him to the hospital” Camila suggested

“I would have done that but we can’t just take a celebrity to the hospital, the Reporters will only take pictures and start asking us questions”

“Then you should call his doctor and tell him everything”

“OK” Anita said and walked out

Camila walked beside the bed and sat on the chair there
She touched his forehead and he was really burning up

“Are you okay?” She asked and Xavier slowly opened his eyes

“I’m okay” he managed to say
“Hang in there, your doctor will be here soon” Camila said and caressed his hair

“I’m sorry, you fell sick because of me” She said but Xavier only stared at her without saying a word

Soon, the doctor arrived and he was treated
“I gave him a medication that will put him to sleep, once he wake up he will be good as new” the doctor said

“Thank you doctor” Anita said and the doctor walked out

“You guys can go, I will be okay” he said
“Okay, good night” Anita sighed before leaving

Camila sighed and hesitated
For some reasons, she doesn’t wants to leave him all Alone

“I hope you are well before next morning” she said and turned to go but Xavier grabbed her wrist

“What is it?” She asked

“Don’t go, stay with me” he said and Camila nod
“Okay, if that’s what you want” She said and sat back on the chair and watched him until he slept off

The next morning…..

Xavier woke up and sat up
Just like the doctor had said, he was perfectly fine
He turned his eyes and saw Camila asleep on the chair with her head placed on the bed

She opened her eyes and yawned then she stretched her body before finally noticing Xavier was awake

“Are you okay?” She asked

“Yeah” Xavier replied
There was silence again as xavier stared through the window

“I’m going” Camila said and stood up to leave but Xavier pulled her to himself and hugged her

“Hey, let go of me” She said trying to release herself from his grip

“You are Avoiding me again” he said and Camila cleared her throat
“I’m not” she said and Xavier smiled

“If you are gonna be avoiding me then let me say this again, I Like you” He said and Camila finally released herself

“Stop being like this, there are so many celebrities you can date” Camila said and turned to go

“Why can’t you love me back?” Xavier asked and she stopped

“I’m not sure, I think my love is not enough for you” She said

“Your love is not enough for me??”

“So…..let’s not do this, I’m your manager” Camila said and Xavier smirked

She didn’t understand that smirk tho

“I won’t give up on you” he said

“You have to” Camila sighed

“Then shall we see who wins” Xavier scoffed and Camila arched her brow

“Win what???”
