Alma.

Just as she said her good night and ran out, a paper drop from her pocket but she didn’t notice because she was busy running out.

Then I remembered her squeezing the paper into her pocket some hours ago.

I quickly walk down to it then picked it up while throwing it into my drawer before Clifford will notice something wrong.

Because I know I already annoyed him by saying that rubbish to the press today.

Him getting to know these strange behavior of my friends will make him blame me the more.

“What was that?” He asked while I look down on my toes.

I don’t know what he is asking about so instead of saying something he would end up hitting me with his words, it’s better to play dumb.

“I just ask a question Alma.” He said again but this time, he is just two feet away from me.

Just as I was about to open my mouth to talk, I saw someone shadow behind my door.

“Shush.” I said holding Clifford lips from saying anything to me.

When I see that he is getting impatient, I pointed at the door for him to see what am seeing.

“What are you trying to do ma’am?” I heard someone asked still from my door.

” Nothing, I just hmmmmmmmm… I just came back for what I forgot.” I heard Jennifer voice shuttered.

Just like that, she opened the door then Instantly remove my hand from Clifford mouth.

“Hmmmmmmmm…” She cleared her throat.

“Do you by any chance see anything on the floor? “She asked looking around.

” Something like what? “I asked

“A very small paper that was squeezed on the floor, like it fell from my pocket.” She replied looking at me.

” No. “I replied bluntly making Clifford crock his eyebrows at me.

“Oh God! Where did I drop this thing.” She asked murmuring to herself.

” I can give you another paper here. “I replied wanting to know what her reaction will be.

” No need for that one, I really need to find this one.” She said.

” How important is it? Can’t you just write anything that it’s inside back into the new paper I will give you? “I asked again.

” No, Asin it’s not… I mean the signature on it is what I really need.” She quickly cover up what she wanted to say

” You can just go back to the person for another signature.” I said again.

” You don’t understand, no need see you at school. ” She said before walking out of the room.

I stopped the maid who came in after Jennifer did. After waiting for some seconds, I finally turn to the maid.

“What was she doing before you met her at the entrance? “I asked.

” She was listening to the conversation you are having with the young master ma’am.” She replied.

” You can go. “I said to the maid who bow then quickly clear out our unfinished food.

Why would she be listening to our conversation? I thought… TBC
