Chapter 18

Alma.

I stood in the room that I always go to train, it was an empty room that had three female students standing before me.

They took interest in dancing and I decided to train them, little by little, I’ll keep building my own band.

That’s my dream.

After we had rehearsed, I sat and drank from a bottle of water on the table.

“Did you girls get today’s style?” I asked.

“Sure.” They answered.

The door opened widely and we all peeked to see who it was. My eyes met with Edwin, one of Clifford’s brother.

“What’s going on here?” He questioned.

“Training my girls.” I answered proudly.

Clifford then showed up behind him, he faced one of the lady and asked; “Are you wealthy?”

“Sure, my father works for one of the top shoe companies.” She answered.

He faced the second girl and asked the same question.

“My father is CEO of Pum global tech.” She answered.

“You must be wealthy too, right?” He asked the third lady.

“Sure.” She answered briefly.

“You can’t work with this girl, she’s poor and will only corrupt you.” Clifford said and I shot him a look of surprise.

I’m no longer in his band, why is he stopping me from creating mine?

“I’ll give you girls $100,000 each, stay away from her.” Clifford said.

“We would also employ you girls as our dancers if you wish.” Edwin said to the girls.

“Employ us?” one of the girls asked in surprise.

“Sure… and also train you.” Edwin assured.

“Sure, I’m willing.” The girl that had just spoken said.

“Same here….me too.” The two girls left responded.

“Good, you will be offered a contract tomorrow, come to this place, same time tomorrow.” Clifford said and the girls jubiliated happily.

Edwin walked out and came back few minutes later with the principal. “Erm…Alma, don’t ever come to this very room again from today henceforth, next time you are sighted here, you will he suspended with immediate effect…leave now.”

I couldn’t believe my ears, I walked out politely.

On getting to my class, I explained everything to Jennifer.

“But why is Clifford that way? what did he want from you?” She asked.

“I sincerely do not know, he just destabilized the band I was building and even took over the room, what sort of a person is he?” I asked.

“Well, just keep training secretly. And…have you thought about Stanley’s proposal?”

“I am not willing to sign, sincerely. It’s the way I feel.” I explained.

“Fine, just do what your heart wants.* She said and a teacher walked in, after she had taught her class, I felt like easing myself so I went to the bathroom.

After easing myself, the door closed abruptly and on turning, I saw Stanley with me.

“Huh! this is a female’s bathroom, what are you doing here?” I questioned.

“Well, to play with you.” He said and started walking to me.
