JASON

I woke up and the first person I looked for was father. And I was so happy to see him next to me.

“Father.” I called. His eyes were closed and he was fast asleep.

I turned my head to look at mother and I saw she was at the other side. A little far from me.

“Jason?” I heard Dad call.

“Dad. Good morning.” I said smiling happily, and he returned the smile adjusting my hair.

“Good morning baby boy. Did you sleep well?” He asked and I nodded in haste.

“It was the best night of my life.” I said chuckling and he smiled.

“That is good.” He replied.

“And you? Did you enjoy your sleep??” I asked and he shut his eyes nodding happily.

“Yes I did. Thanks to you, you didn’t let go of my hand for a second.” He said and I laughed.

“Because I didn’t want you to leave at the middle of the night.” I said sitting up and I saw Mother open her eyes and look at me.

“Jason.” She called smiling and rubbing her eyes with her hand.

“Mother. Good morning.” I said and she nodded yawning.

“Good morning my baby. Did you sleep well?” She asked and I nodded with my hair bouncing on my head.

“It was great! I had Dad with me.” I said and she looked at Father and then smiled.

“That’s great.” She said standing up and Father also stood up.

“I should get going now.” He said and Mother nodded. I changed my contenance and looked at him.

“No! Don’t go.” I said in haste jumping up on my feet.

He looked at mother and mother touched my shoulders talking calmly into my ears.

“Father is the busy type. He needs to attend to somethings.” She said and I shook my head.

“Mom you know I am not the disturbing type. He can do whatever he wants and then I just watch.” I said adamantly.

“Jason…”

“Mom please! I haven’t been with him for my whole life and now I have the chance, I want to be with him Everytime.” I said and she nodded shutting up.

“Jason. You need to get dressed before you come with me. And that may take time and then delay me.” He said and I walked up to him.

“Then we have our baths together, to avoid me delaying you. Then we dress up together and then leave together. You can bath for me if we can’t bath together, it would make it fast.” I said and I laughed softly.

“Okay. I will bath for you, but I need to really see someone, I will be back.” He said and I looked at me for some seconds, not knowing whether to believe him or not.

“Father promise me you will be back. Promise me you are not using this as an excuse to go wherever you want to go alone.” I said looking very serious.

“I promise you Jason, I will be back.” He said squatting in front of me and I smiled.

“Okay.” I said hugging him and he hugged me back. I shut my eyes and I couldn’t stop smiling.

I loved him so much.

“Okay Jason. The earlier I go, the earlier I am back to pick you up.” He said and I released him.

“Don’t worry. Mother would get me prepared before you are back.” I said and he looked at her.

“It’s fine. I will get him prepared.” She said and I jumped up happily.

“Thank you.” He said before finally walking out of the door. As soon as he was out, I looked at mother and then opened my mouth to speak.

“Why do you act like you don’t want me to be together with father?” I asked and she reached for my hand and held it.

“Never think that Jason. I want you to be happy, I just don’t want you disturbing him.” She said.

“He isn’t complaining. So if he doesn’t want me close to him he would tell me. Not you telling me,you know how much I have always wanted a dad.” He said and I nodded.

“Okay Jason. I am sorry.” She said hugging me, and I rested my head on her shoulders hugging her back.

I got to the room where Elena was and I knocked on the door.

“Elena?” I called and the door opened after few minutes.

“Hey.” She said dressing her hair and smiling. She was just waking up. She made way for me to come in and as soon as I was in.

I shut the door and pulled her to me kissing her.

“I missed you so much.” I said and she smiled hugging me.

“I missed you too Jace. How was it with Jason?” She asked pulling me to sit on the bed next to her.

“It was great. It’s like he is addicted to me. He didn’t let me go through out this night. Not until this morning, he didn’t want me to leave at the middle of the night.” I said and she laughed.

“That’s so adorable of him.” She said and I looked at her.

“You think so?” I asked.

“Yes. That’s very sweet Jace. He loves you, despite the fact you weren’t there for him for good ten years. Instead of showing anger and hatred, he keeps showing love for you. He is a great boy.” She said and I smiled.

“We are forgetting something here. We are yet to carry out the DNA.” I said and she rolled her eyes.

“Don’t decieve yourself Jace. You know that this is your son, and you don’t want to leave him too. I saw the look on your face when he held your hand. You cared about him.” She said and I sighed.

“Yes. I do care about him, but what if it comes out negative? Then I lose him.” I said and she shook her head.

“You don’t lose him Jace. He can’t take back the love, he would keep seeing you as his father. You get to have a best friend. This DNA isn’t to proof you are the father because I know you are the father of that boy. It is to show that you are his father and you have a responsibility over him.” She explained and I nodded Smiling.

“Thank you for that Elena. That was relieving.” I said and she smiled.

“So what are your plans for today?” She asked.

“To get the DNA done of course. Jason said he is following me anywhere I go today, so we are going to the hospital, and after that, we would go to see a movie.” I said and she smiled.

“That’s great!” She said.

“And you are going with me.” I said and she scoffed.

“You can’t be so sure. Jason would want his mother with him not a stranger.” She said and I sighed.

“Regina doesn’t show she has forgiven me or even want to go out with me. So she would say no! So you are the only one that can go with us. And I know Jason won’t say no.” I said and she nodded.

“Hope Regina won’t want to watch over her son anywhere anytime.” She said and I heaved understanding exactly what she meant.
