CHAPTER 35

 

Khaleed and Kabir were sitting in the Sherman’s living room,waiting for Aysh to wake up from her siesta. They were offered wine by the maids and the Sherman’s couple also came to wish Kabir luck.

 

Finally,they heard her footsteps coming down the stairs. She was putting on a maternity gown and a pam slippers which made nice sounds as she came down the stairs. Her baby bump was now so big and she was looking more radiant. Pregnancy really agrees with her.

 

“Wow khaleed,what a pleasant surprise” Aysh said as she hugged Khaleed who was now on his feet and ignored Kabir. “I didn’t expect to see you here” Aysh said taking her seat across them.

 

“Well,here i am” Khaleed said smiling.

 

“So what should they offer you Khaleed?” She asked.

 

“Aysh,come on i’m also here” Kabir said,tired of being ignored.

 

“I know you are here Kabir,i’m not blind”

 

“Come on,that night i told you i’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do all what i did,i was so scared. I’m so sorry” Kabir said as he went down on his knees.

 

“Listen to him Aysh,he admit he was wrong and he has been regretting it for a very long time now,and he’s also ready to make amends” Khaleed said moving to sit beside her.

 

“Consider your baby. This guy in here will also need a father figure uhn? And i can assure you Khaleed is going to be a very good father to him” Khaleed said watching Aysh who was fighting back her tears.

 

“Shut up Khaleed,our baby is a girl….” Aysh said while Kabir’s head shot up “..i meant my child” She concluded after realising what she just said.

 

“That’s nice. I will be having a niece soon. But you just said ‘our baby’ does that mean you’ve forgiven him?”

 

“Not really. He has to do something to gain my forgiveness” Ayesha said eying Kabir that was now looking at them but still on his knees.

 

“And what could that be? I’m sure Kabir will do it,isn’t it Kabir?”

 

“Of course i’m willing to do anything” Kabir answered.

 

“Well,when every woman is pregnant,” Aysh started as she cleaned the tears that were threatening to fall. “you know,her husband is always by her side,when she wakes up in the middle of the night craving for this and that,her husband is always there to run around for her. To protect her,to love her,to care for her. I never got those attentions and it didn’t matter. But my baby…” She said as she touched her baby bump and tears were already falling freely from her face. “I was really pained she never got attention,she never got a kiss from her father. Her father should assure her he is going to be there for her. I mean,i couldn’t even kiss her,anytime i tried to bend and kiss her my back hurts like hell” She said smiling amidst tears.

 

“Can you make up for the eight months two weeks you’ve missed in just two weeks. I will be due to have our baby in two weeks time” Aysh completed.

 

“Does this mean i’m forgiven?” Kabir asked as he moved closer to her and held her hand.

 

“I guess” Ayesha said.

 

“I promise i’m going to do anything you ask for in the in these last two weeks…no,forever. I’m so glad you’ve forgiven me. I love you so much” Kabir said.

 

“I love you more” Ayesha replied. This was her dream come true.

 

“Thank you so much,Khaleed.You’re the best bro ever and thanks for getting over your feelings for her” Kabir said to Khaleed.

 

“Come on what are brothers for and remember mum said she wasn’t meant for me”

 

“Mum?” Aysh asked surprised.

 

“Yea,mum. Turns out my mother wasn’t dead after all,she was just in comma and we somehow found each other” Khaleed narrated.

 

“Wow,i’m so happy for you guys. I’m also glad you guys finally put the past aside and move on,just like me” Aysh said. “Come on Kabir aren’t you going to tell our baby something?” Aysh asked.

 

“Of course i will” Kabir said bending to kiss her tummy. “Baby Natasha,daddy loves you so much and promise to always be here for you. And your father’s name is Kabir Dalvetti” Kabir said since Ayesha have always been saying Khaleed is.

 

“That wasn’t necessary” Aysh said.

 

“So you named her Natasha?” Khaleed asked.

 

“Yeah,isn’t it cute?” Kabir asked.

 

“Of course it is” Khaleed said as he turned to Aysh. “Do you like the name for your daughter?”

 

“Yeah,it’s nice” She replied.

 

“So i will leave you guys to talk about stuffs i’m not meant to be here for” Khaleed said standing up. “I will head to the hospital” He said as he moved out of the room.

 

“I am now the chairman of DAL’S COOPERATION” Kabir told her.

 

“That’s nice”

 

“Ayesha” Kabir started as he took a deep breath. “I know what i’m saying might be hard on you but trust me i regret every bit of what i did and i really mean everything i’m about to say right now” Kabir said to Aysh.

 

“I trust you now,Kabir. And i love you,just tell me everything and i will do it” Aysh assured.

 

“Ayesha,let’s get married. I’m not with a ring here but i promise to propose to you in an elaborate way later,but for now please promise me you will get married to me. I want Natasha and any other babies we are going to have to be born into our home. I love you so much and i don’t wish to loose you again”

 

“It’s fine” Aysh said nodding her head as tears glistered her eyes. “Let’s get married and live happily”

 

“Are you sure?” Kabir asked to be sure of what he was hearing.

 

“Hundred percent” Aysh replied.”Do you know what i want after getting married?” Aysh asked.

 

“I don’t,until you tell me”

 

“I want to be a full housewife.I just want to spend my husband’s money like mum. I want to be a perfect wife to you and also a perfect mother to our children” Aysh said.

 

“What of your company? I thought your dad gave it to you”

 

“Yes he did,but that’s where i was also heading. I want DAL’S COOPERATION and AYSH GROUP to become a joint company. I mean let’s make it one,trust me,our company will be the best”

 

“Do you already trust me that much?” Kabir asked surprised.

 

“Yes” Ayesha replied.

 

“What of your parent? Will they agree to that?”

 

“Of course. Part of it will be for the Sherman and the other part for the Dalvetti,we will just be one. I will also hold a post you will just be doing the work”

 

“So,what do you suggest we name it?” Kabir asked.

 

“You name it”

 

“No,you do that. I already named Natasha” Kabir said.

 

“Okay,let’s name it AYKA”

 

“AYKA?” Kabir asked surprised.

 

“Yes. AY for AYesha and KA for KAbir. So AYKA cooperation” Ayesha explained.

 

“That sounds interesting. I will discuss it with my parent and you also do the same and also inform them of our marriage”

 

“Of course,and don’t forget my elaborate proposal” Ayesha said as she placed a soft kiss on his lips.

That was supposed to end here but as a writer,i have my readers interest at mind. I know some of you still want more and a ‘very happy ending’,and you guys are going to get one. A chapter to go guys.
