I sigh before walking down the streets and I know that they are all staring at me right now. It has always been like this ever since that day that I had mistakenly bumped into that masked guy and there has actually been rumors about is.

I step inside the building where I babysit to find out that it’s actually opened which I’m actually shocked about because it’s never opened.

I stare around the house before moving to walk inside when I start hearing voices and some giggles,I don’t know why I felt so strange like something is wrong, I mean why the hell is everything so empty?

I let out a sigh before walking towards the direction of inside when the voices starts to become even more clearer and I know that it’s Sarah abd her friends.

I sigh before pushing the door open to see Mrs toll staring at me with a smile across her face as she pulls more closer to herself and hug me which I’m very surprised of.

I know that she always hugs me whenever that I come over her but it’s just really surprising that she hugs me all of a sudden without saying anything.

“Oh my dear, you have no idea how happy I am right now to see you, are you okay? I saw the news.”

She says and I shake my head, telling her that I don’t understand what she’s trying to say.

“I saw the news where you were with a guy that has a masked over his face and the rumors is that you’re his secret girlfriend which I’m sure that you’re not, right darling?”

She raises her brows at me and I nod my head immediately.

Just how far has these rumors gotten already and I don’t understand why they keep calling me his secret girlfriend when I don’t even knew who the hell he is and why they keep saying that I kissed him when we weren’t even doing so.

“Is she here? Is that dumb girl here?!”

I hear Sarah’s voice yells and I can feel my heart beating faster against my chest because her voice sounded so angry.

“b***h, will you care to tell me where the hell that you have met masked and how the hell that you got him wrapped around your fingers for him to be kissing him in public.”

She snaps and I shake my head immediately, telling her that I did no such thing.

“Are you trying to play dumb with me right now? Oh right,I forgot that you can’t even speak.”

She laughs and I feel the corner of my eyes stinging.

“You should let go Sarah, I told you that was a rumour, there’s no way that masked would be in a relationship with no one but a low life like her.”

“You guys need to watch your tongue! This is no right way to speak to a human being like yourself!”

Mrs toll says as she pulls me to stand behind her.

“And you should watch your mouth ma’am if you still value your job, your job here is to provide me with things that I need, not to interfere in matters that aren’t your business.”

She snaps and stares at me before walking away while I turn to Mrs toll who hugs me to herself immediately, patting my back.

“It’s fine dear, you’re alright. You’re fine, I’m here.”

 

I leave for work after the many insults that I got from Sarah’s mom once again and I take the lonely street that leads down to where I sleep because I’m avoiding the many people that will be staring and pointing at me if I take the main street and that’s because they all think that I’m some masked secret girlfriend when I don’t even know him.

I can feel someone following me but when I turn back to check, there’s no one there.

I keep to my heels and start walking faster when I bump into someone and I scream but he holds his hand over my mouth before using a white cloth to cover my eyes and all I see next is darkness.
