Episode 2

Christabel’s pov

Next day,

I felt drops of liquid on me. I groaned and waved my hand with my eyes still closed. I rolled from the bed and landed on the floor hard.

I opened my eyes slowly when I heard someone groaning. I should be the one groaning.

I gasped and rubbed my eyes well to see if am dreaming.
“Happy birthday! Now get us down!” Natasha snapped while Nancy shrugged.

They were glued to the ceiling. “Did I just did that? Oh my God! What should I do?” I quickly stood up and paced round the room.

“Argh! Just snap your fingers.” Natasha rolled her eyes.

I nodded and snapped my fingers at them, and they fell hard on the floor.
“Okay, I think that was unexpected.” Nancy smiled.

“I have powers. Oh my God! Dad said you’re gonna teach me what a Gem needs to know. Should we start now?” I bit my inner cheeks.

“Don’t be in a rush baby, after your birthday, we gonna teach all you need to know.

I had my bathe and wore my yellow dress then put on my blue stiletto heels.
Nancy and Natasha did my make up and hair.

I got downstairs, the sitting room was decorated with all kinds of colorful ribbons, presents were on the table, beautiful birthday cards and so on.

I beamed happily as I saw my mom, dad, Mason (my cousin), uncle joe and his wife.

“Happy birthday Christabel!” They chorused.
I hugged them one by one before thanking them. I made a wish, blew the candle and cut the cake.

Mom brought a present for me and urged me to open it. I did and gasped seeing a large book.

I brought it out which was quite heavy and opened it. The first page was written; Welcome to the Gem’s world.

“Dad? What am I supposed to use this for?” I queried.

“That book is gonna guide you. All you need to know. More about Gems. So I guess Nancy and Natasha should take you to your room and teach you how to use some of your powers.” Mom spoke.

I went back to my room and was made to sit on the floor.
“So, am not really good in teaching and explaining things but am just gonna try.” Said Nancy as she packed her hair in a ponytail.

“Same here, first thing is, if you wave your hand to this direction, the person or object in that direction is going to be attacked. I mean, the person can be glued to the wall or even fall down” Natasha explained all I need to know.

Gem’s powers are really superb.
I tried some and decided to try this sleeping power.
I widened my eyes at Natasha, staring at her for long.

“Okay, this can’t work on me. Cause am a Gem too. So, just stop.” She chuckled and stood up.

Whoa! Really?

I bid everyone goodbye and so fast, night came and I was fast asleep.

Monday morning,

I woke up quickly and glanced at the mirror. I had my hair cut yesterday. Now I actually looked like a boy.
All set.

I quickly took my bath and ran to my room to pick a blue shirt and white short. I had done everything yesterday.

I went to the mall Yesterday and salon to get everything done.
I took my already packed bag and rushed downstairs.

“Dad, mom, am ready!” I shouted while I dropped my bag in the sitting room, went to the dining table and grabbed two slices of bread.

I walked to the car outside and dad met me there.
“Safe journey Christa!” My mom yelled from the door.

“Thanks mom” I muttered while dad drove out of the compound.

We got to the school and I was led to the principal’s office.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the prince sitting in front of the principal. He turned and arched his brows.

“You?” He said.

Oh no! He knows me. He recognized me. What should I do? What should I say?
