CHAPTER 24
The next day,Kabir walked into the company thinking about what happened that morning in the house. He had woken up in the drinking basement with a terrible hangover. When he got to the main house,the house was very silent. Everyone minded their businesses. He had gone straight to his room,bathed,clothed and left the house without talking to anyone. When he was heading to the parking lot he felt his mother gaze on him,but he didn’t bother to look back because he knew she wouldn’t look good after the quarell with his father last night.
He entered into his office with Mr Moon trailing behind,he went straight to his seat and sat down. “I need you to check somethings for me” Kabir said to Mr Moon.
“What could that be?” Mr Moon asked.
“Ayesha. I need you to do some checks for me. Even if she died i need to know where she was buried” He said.
“How should i do that?”
“I don’t know. Maybe get a private investigator and start from where she had that accident. If she escaped someone must have seen her”
“Okay” Mr Moon said as he left the office to contact a private investigator.

Adsh had a sumptous breakfast the next morning. Khaleed had left for an emergency early that morning. He promised her to come pick her up for her check up. After breakfast,she chatted with Anoushka. As she was taking her bath,Anoushka came to call her that Khaleed was back to pick her up for her appointment. After bath she slipped into a short flair gown with a low heel sandals before going down the stairs. She wouldn’t want Khaleed nagging at her again,and she was also trying her best to hide her small baby bump.
Khaleed took her to the doctor who informed her the baby was in good shape. When they were in the car going back to the house Khaleed’s phone started ringing and the caller ID showed it was Mr Dalvetti. He picked the call up and they talked for two minutes before he finally ended the call. “I’m taking you to him,he said he needs company” Khaleed told Adsh.
“And by him,you mean?” Adsh asked.
“Mr Dalvetti. He said no one is at home with him and he needs company. I made him understand i’m busy so he said i should bring you. Will you go?”
“Will love to. Anyway i’m also all alone at home with noone to talk with” Adsh said.
“Okay” Khaleed said taking a sharp turn to the Dalvetti’s mansion.
When they got there he just dropped her off and drove away without greeting his father. This is the rude side of him. Imagine calling his father Mr Dalvetti. Who does that? Adsh thought as she made her into the mansion. Javier directed her to the study where Mason was.

“Boss the press are here” Kay said to Gabriel in his office. Gabriel face shot up from what he was doing.
“They are here? For what?” Gabriel asked surprised.
“The interview. Did you forget?” Kay asked.
“Oh the interview. It skipped my mind,so where are they?”
“They are sitting at the reception”
“Come on,let them in. Don’t make them think i’m a proud future Mayor” Gabriel said to Kay as he went out to get the reporters. After some minutes a young man and lady came in followed by a video man. Gabriel motioned for them to sit.
“Good morning Senator Anderson” The lady greeted.
“Good morning reporters,how can i help you this morning?” Gabriel said.
“Actually,senator Anderson,we’re here to interview you on the upcoming Mayor election” “Come on,feel free to ask me any question” Gabriel said.
“As we know the secondary election is coming up in eight months time and you’ve won the primary election gacefully,so what do you think about this secondary election?” The man asked while the video man kept the camera rolling.
“Well,it shouldn’t be that i’m proud but the Mayor for this term is absolutely mine. I mean i won the first election so why can’t i win the next one too? And secondly,we were eight that went for the election when i won the primary election,four gave up and now we are four left and those four are no match for me since none of them have fathered a son,i’m the only one that has a son,and you know having a son is also part of the qualities needed to be a Mayor and the person is me” Gabriel boosted.
“Thanks sir,we really love your confidence” The lady said. “So what will you like to tell us about your son”
“My son is a very hardworking man and i plan on intoducing him into politics because i know he will eventually grow up to be a great politician”
“What’s his name sir?” The lady asked again.
“Anderson Gage. Don’t tell me you are interested in him” He said making everyone in the room laugh.
“Sir,how have your family been supporting you so far?”
“They have been very supportive especially my dearest wife. She is such a special woman,she has been with me from the onstart and i’m very sure she won’t give up when i’m about to get to the peak. I love her so much” He concluded.
“What would you like to tell our viewers,sir?”
Gabriel smiled and faced the camera. “I don’t have much to say but i just want to tell our viewers to vote for the winning team which is I,Senator Gabriel Anderson” He said giving the camera thumps up before turning back. The lady stood up and was walking towards the camera when she started saying.
“So we have come to the end of the interview with senator Anderson,thanks for staying with us” After saying this,the video man ended the video.
The reporters and the video started packing their stuffs. “We will leave now” The lady informed Gabriel when they finished parking thier belongings.
“Won’t you like to leave with something?” He asked.
“Actually we are__” The lady started but the man interrupted.
“We will appreciate anything”
“Really? I wouldn’t even allow you people leave here empty handed” He said and dialled Kay’s number telling him to get to his office immediately.
“I want you to give my friends here a little thing to take with them” Gabriel said after Kay entered into the office. “Yes boss” Kay bowed showing the reporters the way out of the office.

Kabir got back to the house and searched everywhere for his mother,when he couldn’t find her he decided to get to his room and freshen up. He heard his father’s voice and a feminine laughter on his way to his room. He wondered who the woman could be. Was his father flirting with another woman so he could have another illegitimate son? He decided to check who it was himself.
As he peeping to see who it was his father sighted him immediately. The woman’s back was to him so he couldn’t see her face,all he could see was her thick black hair that swept to her back. “Kabir come in. Khaleed’s fianc�e has been keeping my company since” Mason said amidst laughter. He couldn’t tell his father he can’t come in so he proceeded into the room. “Hi dad” He greeted his father and turned to the fiancee. “Hi…..Aysh” He said the name not remembering what her name was.
“Aysh?” Mason and Adsh chorused.
“Yeah….Aysh..or isn’t that your name?” He asked.
“No i’m Adsh not Aysh please,there’s a ‘d’ not a ‘y'” Adsh corrected.
All he was thinking of was Aysh and he didn’t know when he called her that. But the name looked alike. “So sorry about that,your name reminds me of some one i know”
Adsh was taken aback by what he said,so he remembered her. No,he remembers Aysh,now she was Adsh. She shifted the thought aside and faced Mason. “I’m sure Khaleed will soon be here to pick me up” She said.
“I also need to sleep,you and Kabir can get to know each other better for the time you’re waiting for Khaleed” Mason said.
“I don’t think that would be neccessary. I could while away time__”
“I insist Miss Scanlon” Kabir interupted grinning from ear to ear.
