CHAPTER 9

It was already late in the night when he got to his parent’s house. His head needed to be cleared. He didn’t know why he kissed Ayesha,maybe because he was attracted to her or because he wanted to save her from the annoying Gage. Kissing her had been a good thing and he really enjoyed it. Her lip felt so good.
He was strolling into the living room when he met Javier.
“Kabir!!” Javier exclaimed. He ran over to hug him. “Where have you been?” Javier asked pulling away from the hug.
“I’ve been busy”
“To the extent you don’t have time for your own family?”
“Trust me,i’m doing it for the good of the company” Kabir said.
“Your parents are so worried about you. You don’t pick your calls neither do you visit and you know your father is dying” Javier said.
“How’s dad?” Kabir asked.
“Same as always. But your mum is really trying for him,she’s such a wonderful woman.”
“Are they asleep yet?” Kabir asked.
“When i left thier room your mum was reading a book to him so probably they are still awake” “Let me run along before they sleep off” Kabir said taking the stairs two at a time.
Dora was tucking Mason when she heard someone opening the door. “Kabir” she said when she finally turned and realised it was her son.
“Kabir is here?” Mason asked turning his head to the directon of the doorway. Kabir walked over and pecked his mother before he drag a chair and sat on it.
“You naughty boy,where have you been? Have you been eating? Are you sleeping well?” Dora asked continously as she took a seat beside her husband on the bed.
“Mum,i’ve been busy,and yes to all your questions. I have to get the company back to the way it was” Kabir explained.
“Kabir,you have to put your family first before any company” Dora said.
“Honey let Kabir be,i understand how he feels” Mason said.
“Everything is always about the company,anyways have you been eating well?” Dora asked again.
“Yes mum”
“So how many days are you staying before going back to your so called busy life?” Dora asked.
“I’m leaving tonight” Kabir said smiling.
“You don’t mean it?” Dora said.
“I mean it mum,you know i’m a very busy man now. I just came here to say hi to you and dad” Kabir explained.
“Are you at least going to eat before leaving?” Dora asked.
“I ate before coming here” Kabir said standing up to leave.
“Kabir,” his mother called as he was moving over to the door, “just be careful”. He only smiled at his mother as he moved out of the room,as he was moving down the stairs he met Javier again.
“Javier,i’m leaving now” He informed him.
“So fast?”
“Yes”
“Moon told me about what you two are doing with the company,i hope it works out well” Javier said.
“I hope so too” Kabir said as he left the house,he was about to get into the call when his phone rang. “Yes” He said to the caller.
“I received the goods today sir” Mr Moon said.
“Sell half of it to our branch in China and send the money back to AYSH GROUP. She has to trust us before we start making any moves” Kabir said.
“But sir,our branch in China is also facing bankrupcy” Mr Moon said at the other end of the line.
“Then they should get a loan and buy the damn goods. Do you want her to be suspicious?” Kabir said already getting annoyed.
“I would do that straight away sir” Mr Moon said.
“If you’re going to do it then be fast with it” Kabir said ending the call.

Aysh was in her room playing with Pluto when she remembered what happened earlier between her and Kade. He had kissed her senseless and she didn’t resist instead she kissed him back and their lips had fitted. She wasn’t sure maybe she loved him yet since she has never been in love with anyone. The ringing of her phone brought her out of her thoughts and she picked the call even though it was an unknown caller.
“Hello,please who’s on the line?” She asked the caller.
“Gage” The caller replied and she recognised the voice immediately.
“How do you get my number?” She asked fuming.
“Where i got your number doesn’t matter at least you’re my wife to be” Gage said.
“In your dreams,why are you calling me?” She asked.
“I will overlook what happened today between you and that your wretched P.A and proceed with our marriage” Gage explained.
“I didn’t ask you to overlook it,i already told you i can’t and i won’t marry you” Aysh said.
“Let me finish. I was also thinking maybe i should impregnate you before our marriage, you know….it would benefit the both of us” Gage said.
“Gage,are you insane?” She asked suprised at his statement.
“No.Not at all. I don’t want you to get me wrong,i understand……” Gage continued but was cut short by Ayesha.
“You’re insane. Listen to me Gage don’t you ever call my number again.” She said as she hung up the phone and flung it over the bed.
She couldn’t believe Gage was this dumb,so foolish and dull and stupid and…and….She didn’t even know what to compare him with anymore. He was really insane.
She took Pluto to his room and met her mother on her way back. “Ayesha” Her mother called.
“What mum?” She asked frustrated.
“You have to marry that guy” Betty said.
“I don’t want to” Aysh said.
“Darling you need to understand…..” Betty continued but was cut short by Aysh.
“The money? Mum that’s what you’re always interested in and you’re just trying to sell me. We have enough money and if you think they are not enough then i can make more” Aysh said.
“I also want the power” Betty said.
Aysh was so annoyed with her mother. She couldn’t believe she was like this. She has always lived up to thier expectations,she tried to fight back her unshed tears as she moved away from her mother.
