CHAPTER 17

By the time she got home they were all waiting for her. She was not ready for their questions yet. Right now,she was in a dilemma. “You’re late” Ford said sternly.
“Sorry dad,something came up at the company” She explained.
“That’s not an excuse for you to come late for the dinner between your family and your fiancé family” Ford said sounding unconcerned.
“Dad i already apologize what else?” Aysh said annoyed.
Just then Jasper voice was heard. “Aysh,isn’t that your P.A on the news?” They all turned to the television which was unnoticed before. “Increase the volume please” She told Jasper. Then the presenter voice boomed from the television.
Kabir Dalvetti was sitted in a conference room with Mason and Dora. It looked like they were having an interview. He was wearing suit with tie and he was looking handsome in his new looks. “As everyone knows about the downfall of DAL’S COOPERATION. We would like to bring to your notice about how Kabir Dalvetti has brought back the long lost glory of his father’s fallen company. How he did it is still suprising to everyone including his parents and shareholders of the company.” The reporter said.
Aysh was so annoyed,she collected the TV controller from Jasper and turned it off. “That con artist” She muttered to herself.
“What is wrong with you Aysh? You don’t look alright” Betty finally said realizing how her daughter was feeling uneasy.
“Of course not” She said to her mother. “I’m sorry everyone but you have to go on with the dinner without me,i have no appetite” She said walking off to her room. She felt dizzy right now after realizing Kade’s main aim of coming to AYSH GROUP.
Oh,am i still calling him Kade. His name is Kabir,Kabir Dalvetti-She thought to herself.
“Of course,you’re going to take part in this dinner” Her father voice stopped her.
“I don’t want to dad” She said back. All this while Gage and his parent just watched all that was going on. Gage was furious. After taking out of his time to come for this dinner now she refused to take part. “I don’t want to have dinner. I don’t want to get married. I don’t want to live anymore” She said crying and shouting at the same time. “All this while i have been keeping my cool but now i can’t anymore. I also have my life to live so let me live it to the fullest and stop ordering me around. I’m sorry dad,mom,” She said facing them both “But i’m calling off this marriage” She concluded stomping off to her room leaving all of them gaping thier mouth.
At last,she was free.

“That Ayesha of a girl is so stubborn” Gabriel Anderson said when he and his wife got to his room after what happened at the Sherman’s.
“So stubborn” Emily added.
They had all experienced what happened and Gabriel knew that his son was annoyed. He hated when his son was annoyed and helpless. He felt like destroying Ayesha Sherman. How could she hurt his only child. He wasn’t going to take it likely with her. “What do you plan on doing?” Emily asked.
“I will do what i do to people that get in my way in politics” He said unmoved.
“You are not going to ki*ll her are you?” Emily asked,fearing for Aysh.
“You are so funny” Gabriel said smiling.
“Gabriel you can’t. Gage won’t like it. He doesn’t want the girl to get hurt,just do something else that will make her come to Gage” Emily said trying to convince her husband.
Gabriel just went nearer to his wife and stroke her hair. “By the time i’m done with her Gage will be so happy” He said smiling.
“Are you really going to ki*ll her?” Emily asked again while her husband just smiled back at her.

Kabir sat down in his office. He was contented now,nomore shareholders fights and his father was getting better each passing day. He now faced the family business squarely but his father haven’t bestowed him with the chairman position yet. He wondered what was taking him so long. So far he hasn’t been able to get Aysh out of his mind. He sent Mr Moon to check what was going on in her family and was still wondering what he would find out when Mr Moon entered. “Mr Moon,i was just thinking of what i sent you. Did you get anything?” He asked.
“Yes. She found out what we did and is searching everywhere for us now. Out of annoyance she broke up her marriage with her fiancé” Mr Moon explained. ”She must be going through a lot now” He completed.
“Tsk tsk tsk” Kabir did the sound with his mouth and was shaking his head. “What a pity. Gage will be so furious”
“His father is also annoyed. I think Miss Sherman might be in danger,senator Anderson is a very dangerous politician that loves getting what he wants” Mr Moon Said.
Kabir was about to say something when his intercom buzzed. “Someone is here to see you” His receptionist announced.
“Who is it?” He asked
“She said her name is Miss Sherman and you would be expecting her” His receptionist said.
“Come on let her in” He said. Indeed he was expecting her.
Ayesha barged into the office making Mr Moon Jump from where he was standing. She went straight to Kabir and slapped him across the face. “You con artist. You pretender” She said to him.
Kabir quickly recovered from his slap and smiled at her. “Long time,Miss Sherman” He said.
“Long time? You scam where is my money?” She asked shouting.
“Miss Sherman please you are in a office premises can you reduce your voice a bit?” Mr Moon said trying to calm her down.
“And who are you?” Aysh asked turning to Mr Moon who she hasn’t noticed before. “Mr Fallon?” She said suprised.
“I’m sorry but my name is Moon not Fallon” Mr Moon corrected.
“I know that possibly can’t be your name,but i’m not here for chit-chat i’m here for my money which i’m going to get”
“The people owing you money are not here Aysh,they are not in this world either” Kabir said.
”What do you mean?” Aysh asked.
“Oh come on,” Kabir said holding her arm. “Don’t act like you don’t know it’s Kade Bauer and Fallon Cage that are owing you money now you’re accusing Kabir Dalvetti and Moon,don’t you think you should be arrested for false accusation” He concluded,smiling.
“You’re insane” She said pushing his hand off her. “Completely insane. I’m going to get that money Kade and there’s nothing you can do about it”
“There you go again. I’m Kabir not Kade” He corrected.
“You are having a meeting with the shareholders now” Mr Moon announced.
“You should leave now Aysh” Kabir said.
“I’m going nowhere” Aysh said.
“Okay suit yourself” He said picking up his phones from the desk. “I guess i will have to leave you here ,but when you leave make sure you close the door behind you” He said smiling at her and heading to the door while Mr Moon trailed behind. “She doesn’t look like someone in danger” Kabir said to Mr Moon on their way to the meeting. “Or what do you think?”
“We can’t conclude yet,maybe senator Anderson s waiting for the right time to strike” Mr Moon said.

“I don’t want her death to be traced to anyone” Gabriel told Kay,his personal bodyguard. “Especially now that i’m running for the country Mayor” He concluded.
“What do you say that we tamper with her brake? That way it won’t be traced to anyone” Kay said to his boss.
“Do you think that’s a good idea?” Gabriel asked.
“Yes boss. I’ve tried it many times and it’s always successful” Kay said.
“Okay go on with your plan,just make sure your job is clean”
“Yes boss” Kay replied as he took his leave.

Ayesha left Kabir’s office in annoyance. He had left her standing like a fool. She furiously entered her car looking at Pluto who was growling at her. “What?” She asked the dog who kept on growling. “He didn’t give me the money so quit growling” She said as she pushed the key into the ignition,started the car and zoomed off.
Kay just smiled at his hiding place.

She has taken Pluto with her to keep her comapany but now the dog wasn’t looking friendly but kept growling. “Hey,what’s up with you? You don’t look good,care for some food?”
She saw a dog food store and wanted to park her car to get some for Pluto. She stepped on the brake in an attempt to pack her car but it didn’t work. She stepped on it again and again but it wouldn’t budge. She was looking down at the brake and the car was on high speed. She started panicking. She looked up to see a young girl crossing the road,she didn’t want to hit her so she swirled the car around all of a sudden making it stumble for five times before it finally exploded.
