CHAPTER 13

• When they got back to the dinning room,Aysh had savoured almost all the meals. Kade didn’t know she was that hungry and blamed himself for starving her. She started packing the plates she used to eat. “Miss Sherman,i didn’t know you were that hungry” Javier said also surprised with the quantity of food she ate.
  “Please call me Aysh” She said “Are you leaving now?”
  “Yes” Kade answered pushing Javier towards the door.
  “Okay,bye dad. And greet Kabir” she said waving to him as Kade continued pushing him.
  “Dad?” Kade said after locking the door and coming back to where she was standing.
  “Yes,dad. Isn’t he your father?” She asked.
  “He is my father doesn’t make him your father too” Kade said joining her in packing the dishes.
  “He isn’t you dad” Aysh said.
  “And why did you say that?” Kade said as he continued with what he was doing.
  “The day you came for your interview you told me you were an orphan so how did you end up with a father?” She asked curiously.
  He paused for a while. He hadn’t expected her to remember that day.
  “I don’t want to talk about my family with you” He said as he headed to the refrigerator.
  “Of course you want to Kade you are my personal assistant and i know nothing about you” Aysh said shouting.
  “You are in my house Aysh you can’t be shouting at me”
  “I don’t care,you’re lying to me!!”
  “Fine!! He’s my uncle after my parent’s death i have always taken him as my dad and his wife my mum” He paused. “Satisfied?”
  “Hmmm. The food was delicious anyway and tell your mom thanks” She said as she headed to the living room.
  She almost caught him. He thought. If she had caught him then DAL’S COOPERATION was going to be in a complete mess and he was going to lose his company as well as Aysh. He sighed as he dropped the last foodstuff in the refrigerator.
  She sat down on a couch in the living room and was changing the television channels when Martha’s call came in. She picked the call and Matha told her that the K&D Group has sent the money they agreed on and the needed more goods. She told Martha to assure them they were going to get more goods. She was so happy they had sent the money they’ve always agreed on and she was trusting them more. She was so happy she ran to the Kitchen to break the good news to Kade.
  “Kade the K&D Group didn’t fail us i as thought,they sent the money” She said as she jumped into the Kitchen.
  “Really?” He asked feigning ignorance.
  “Yes,Martha just called me now and told me they need more goods so i want you to contact all the managing directors and request for more goods” She said joyously.
  “You mean more” He asked suprised.
  “Yeah,more” She was still rejoicing when another call came through.
  Kade knew something was wrong when he saw the way her facial expression changed. “Who is it?” He asked.
  “My dad” She replied ending the call.
  “You have to pick it Aysh”
  “I don’t want to. I’m sure he’s about to say one of his rubbish” Aysh said.
  “But you still have to pick it up” He said as her phone rang again while she ended it.
  The phone rang for the third time. He quickly snatched it from her hand picked it and placed it on her ear before she could even think of ending it. “So you have decided to run away from home” Ford said from the other end of the line. He paused a little expecting his daughter to speak up but when no answer came from her he continued. “Well i don’t care where you are at the moment i just wanted to inform you that i,your mother and the Anderson’s met and the wedding date had been set so get yourself here and get ready for your wedding” Ford concluded.
  “Without my consent?” She finally asked.
  “Nobody cares about your consent my dear,just get yourself home” Ford said ending the call.
  “What are you going to do?” Kade asked taking the phone away from her ears.
  “Marry him,or else i will have a lot to loose” Aysh said to him.
  He was shocked. He didn’t know she could give in easily. He didn’t want her to get married to Gage. He couldn’t afford seeing another guy with her not to talk of getting married to him and sharing the same bed. “You can’t” He said holding her by the shoulder.
  “Why?” She asked suprised by his sudden behaviour.
  “I don’t know you just can’t marry him. You don’t even love him for goodness sake” He said.
  “Kade,you don’t understsnd. Everyone is against me,everyone wants me to marry him. Even you”
  “I don’t want you to marry him Aysh” He didn’t know where the words were coming from,he had promised Javier nothing was going to happen between them then here he was not wanting to let her go. All he wanted was to hold her to him throughout the day and make love to her.
  “Then why are you chasing me away?” Her sweet voice brought him out of his train of thoughts.
  “The date hase been set and i have to leave to save my parent from embarrassment”
  “Can i stop you from going?” He whispered moving closer to her.
  “How?” She asked looking at him with suprise.
  “Anyhow” He took a step towards her then before she knew what he was about to do he had his hand linked round her waist pulling her to him so that the hard planes of his body were taut against her yielding flesh. Ayesha heart was hammering against her ribs in the most uncomfortable exciting way possible,the breath drawn from her lungs as she looked up at his dominating expression. At first she thought he was not going to kiss her before she quite understood his intentions. His hand had slipped lower binding her still more closely against him and at the same instant his mouth covered hers. Between the brief caresses she and Kade had shared and the drugging,bewildering experience was a whole word of pleasure. She did not,could not resist the pressure that parted her lips,allowing him to explore and tantalise the soft inner recesses. Her heart was beating in a strong defeaning strokes,she was caught in a nerve shattering mealstor as his hand moved still lower,hitching her against him so that only the tips of her toes were on the floor.
  “Let’s stop here Aysh” Kade said pulling away from the kiss and pushing her gently.
  “Why?” She asked moving back to him.
  “The other day you said we shouldn’t do this. I mean we just have to stop” The time was now. He had to stop them now.
  “But you said you wanted to stop me from marrying Gage. Did you change your mind?”
  “Look i’m sorry i led you on but there’s no way this marriage of yours can be stopped. I just realized.”
  “Please Kade i don’t want to loose myself to him. I don’t want him to be my first” Aysh pleaded.
  Kade couldn’t believe his ears. He couldn’t believe Aysh was a virgin at 23. He couldn’t afford to hurt her but she wanted it. He didn’t want her to loose what she cherished most to Gage. He really rued Gage. He can’t just stand the sight of him Ayesha together. Javier told him not to get himself entangled. He had told him not to fall in love. He made himself believe he wasn’t in love with her,it was just mere lust. “I have to meet the managing directors” He said trying to change the topic.
  “We aren’t done with this conversation” Aysh said trying to stop him.
  “You have to think carefully about this before we make any decisions” Kade said. “We will talk about this when you’ve thought about it for now i have to meet with the managing directors” Kade said as he took his car keys and left the house.
